There is no doubt that the development of technology is playing an important role, and the social networking emerges as the time requires.Y ears passed, our life has experienced a tremendous change because of the social networking, with its advantages of low cost, fast transmission and information sharing, social networking has broken the time and space limits and got people to be more and more close,Therefore our planet is worthy of name-“Global Village”.Taking as an example ,if we want to share any videos, pictures and passages on the net with your friends, what we should do is just a quick click,As an American scientist Marc Andreessen said "This represents a tremendous and permanent change of communication ability between people ."Not only could man communicate through the networking, what's more, man could have free talks in this kind of society, ignoring his age, nationality, race and religious faith, which is difficult for the traditional way to achieve.Of course, not all people have the same opinion, As British scientist Susan Greenfield has mentioned that social networking has turned people into infants, because our attention span has been shortened, our compassionate has been weakened and our personality has been faded...Indeed, some people, especially young adults are becoming victims under the influence of social networking without proper use. Some of them even abandoned their life and studies,However,at the same time, peopledon't choose to be silent in the face of the unfairness in society anymore ,social responsibility has been largely promoted through social networking and has influenced millions of netizens.Right now, there are about 300million Chinese people acting in the social networking and the total number is increasing. Since February 2009, netizens have been spending more time in social networking than E-mail, and the gap between them is still expanding. If you have many friends who care about you when you are ill, will it be better for you .So ,I insist that soc ial networking is very important in our life.Social networing contains two major parts: face-to-face networking.At first ,I want to say something of the face-to-face networking.The best advantage over other means is reliable .We build this kind of relationship by our relatives and friends.The we always be their friends,too.So ,most times ,we need not worry to be cheated by these guys.There are also some disadvantages of face-to-face networking. It cost too much money and time during we build our social neting .And in that way ,we can not get many friends.Compared to the past,there is an increasing number of people who tend to develop their social network network online. It has many advantages ,too.We can send QQ messages to others very quickly. We can spend less money on making friends .We can find friends in QQ zone .The last few years have witnessed the growing impacts of online social networking on people of all ages, especially teenagers.Now in my university,it is really hard to find out someone who does not have his or her own social networking account.But ,just like the saying goes,a coin has two sides ,even the online networking is cheaf and convenient . There are some bad guys use it for bad purpose .We need to address it.Whatever the means we choose to creat our social networking ,we should take the advantage of it and overcome its disadvantages . They can be business tools, they can be news sources, they can be teenage time-killers, they can be anything. Thus, whether they make sense to you or not completely depends on the way you use it.With all these advantages at hand, however, we cannot be blind to the confusion they’ve made. Let alone the leakage of privacy information caused by networking or the arousing of society fickleness. Even worse, due to the flexibility as I mentioned before, misfeasors could take advantage of them to spread rumors or anti-government announcements, causing panic among publics and putting pressure on administrations. According to a survey about Facebook, the average user has 130 friends, but many of these are chance acquaintances or people they will never meet in real life. Online social networking makes us even lonelier.
Let’s ask ourselves, am I lonely? In my opinion, social media websites like Facebook are making a bad situation worse，which brings us to a more basic question: Does the Internet make people lonely, or are lonely people more attracted to the Internet? Although everybody else looks so happy on Facebook, with so many friends, that our own social networks feel emptier than ever. Maybe in our country means you have hundreds of friends in your QQ or followers in microblog. A researcher group in the US found that lonely people are inclined to spend more time on Facebook: “One of the most noteworthy findings,” they wrote, “was the tendency for lonely individuals to spend greater amounts of time on Facebook per day than non-lonely individuals.
In our modern society, many people think they’re lonelier than ever. We used to write letters, even E-mails or directly meet others, which costs much time but we think we are talking to a REAL MAN. You can image the excellent feeling when getting a letter from your best friends or have an honesty conversation with them. But now, as
we’re busier, we just simply leave messages or comments on someone’s homepage. Sometimes when it comes to somebody’s birthday, we send virtual gifts instead of real one. In these ways, we can’t get a profound communication with others.
Sadly, not only do we get less on online social networking, but also loss more. As an old joke goes, you can’t judge whether the people before the other screen is a dog or man. Internet is accessible for everyone, so some bad guys may cheat you even obtain your money. As a result of that, we become more doubtful. Absolu tely, we’re getting lonelier.
