一、活动主题英语单词竞猜活动二、活动目的1.为了提高同学们学习英语的兴趣,进而提高同学们的学习热情,营造良好的学习氛围。

2.给同学们一个展示自我,挑战自我的机会,丰富同学们的校园文化生活。

3.提供给同学们一个自我检测的平台,通过英语单词竞猜活动,使同学们对自己的英语水平有具体的了解,为以后的英语学习树立航标,指明方向。

4.使同学们提前接触了解四级考试词汇,为大学生英语四级考试早做准备。

5.通过此次活动,为同学们的英语学习和通过四、六级考试助一臂之力。

三、活动对象信息工程学院全体同学四、活动地点信工楼阶六五、活动时间活动时间:2011年04月22日(星期五)19:00六、活动内容1.单词竞赛从同学们正在学习的《新编大学英语第二册》教材前七个单元中抽取100个单词,由老师报单词英文读音或单词意思,同学们写下单词的中英文。

竞赛规则:每个参赛选手一个座位,并有由三个其他同学组成的亲友团,亲友团坐在此同学的后头,比赛过程中不准提醒或者告诉参赛选手答案,如有发现,则取消参赛选手的参赛资格,在比赛过程中,其他同学必须保持安静,当老师报一个英语单词的中文,参赛选手在答题板上写出相映的单词,如果不会写或对拼写有疑虑的,仍不允许请教其他同学,只有在老师询问是否需要帮助时,可举手请教亲友团,后各位参赛选手亮出答题板并统计结果过,如果仍出现拼写错误或写不出来,则直接淘汰。

而每个同学只有三次请教亲友团的机会,如果三期机会都用完,在五十个单词还没报完的过程中仍出现拼写错误或者拼写不出单词,则此同学将被淘汰。

按淘汰的顺序取最后6名予以奖励,评出一等奖1名,二等奖2名,三等奖3名。
