第九组(建议用时:45分钟)Ⅰ.阅读理解The following are six strange restaurants for a truly unique dining experience.Ithaa Undersea Restaurant—Rangali Island, MaldivesLocated at the Conrad Maldives, Rangali Island Resort is a gorgeous and intimate underwater restaurant (seating capacity is 14 people) that is more than sixteen feet below sea level. Opened in 2005, the allglass restaurant has a menu consisting of fresh seafood, beef, and other delicious dishes. Encased in a transparent roof, the restaurant offers its diners a 270degree panoramic view(全景) of sea creatures swimming in the Maldives’ crystal clear waters. While a zinc paint(含锌漆) coating protects Ithaa’s steel structure from corrosion(腐蚀), the salt water and marine growths sticking to the paint will eventually break it down. Make a reservation while you still can.Dinner in the Sky—Montreal, CanadaGot an appetite for high altitudes? Originating in Belgium, the concept involves crane(吊车) lifting guests, who are safely strapped into “dining chairs” 160 feet up in the air, along with a table, wait staff, and everything that’s required to enjoy a meal floating above the ground. The noveltybased mobile restaurant has gained popularity worldwide and is now offered for limited run periods in cities around the globe, including Montreal, where it arrived in the summer of 2008.Redwoods Treehouse—Warkworth, New ZealandBuilt in 2008, the podshaped structure is located over 32 feet above the ground in a redwood tree in the town of Warkworth. Diners access the venue via an elevated(升高的) treetop walkway built of redwood milled on site. The striking venue is used exclusively for private functions and events, with a capacity of 30 guests.De Kas—Amsterdam, The NetherlandsLess strange than amazing:Imagine a restaurant where the menu selections are prepared using the freshest possible ingredients, and by freshest, we mean harvested in the field at sunrise of the same day you are dining there. Welcome to De Kas, an old greenhouse in Amsterdam that was due to be pulled down in 2001, but was saved by an ambitious Michelin star chef, Gert Jan Hageman, who changed the unique twenty sixfoot high glass building into a restaurant and nursery. Mediterranean vegetables, herbs and eatable flowers are grown and harvested at the greenhouse and garden near the restaurant, and Hageman can be found in De Kas’ nursery daily, working the soil, planting, weeding and harvesting herbs and vegetables. The Bubble Room—Captiva Island, FloridaOpened in 1979, this restaurant decorated with classic toys from the 1930s and 1940s started as a small oneroom eating place, and today has grown into a multi themed restaurant occupying all three stories of the house it originated in.Staff are known as “bubble scouts”,each wearing a different crazy hat.Moving trains are on all three floors and photographs of oldtime movie scenes and stars decorate every available wall spac e.“It’s always Christmas at the Bubble Room” is a theme made obvious by the presence of the many Father Christmases, the Elf Room, and year round Christmas lights.Music from the 1920s to 1940s serves as the restaurant’s soundtrack, and the bright and cheerful pastel colors of the venue make it a wonderful experience.Favorites on the current menu are original items offered since the restaurant’s early days such as Socra cheese(a cheese served flamed tableside),Bubble Bread, and many of the largesized desserts.O. NOIR—Montreal, CanadaDining in the dark has been around for quite some time abroad, but the concept was only first introduced in Canada in 2006, with the opening of O. NOIR in Montreal and then a second location in Toronto in 2009.O. NOIR’s philosophy is that a diner’s enjoyment is increased when his sight is eliminated as the other senses become heightened. Flashlights, cellphones, and luminous(发光的) watches are banned from the dark restaurant. The evening starts in a lit bar where guests place their orders;then they are led by a server into an unlit dining room, where a twohour seated dinner service begins with servers explaining where everything is placed on the table. This novel experience certainly puts a new spin on the term “blind date”.1. According to the passage, which restaurant is the most recent one?A.O. 2015届高三B部英语二轮复习导学案9——任务型阅读专项When it comes to the world of computers, green computing is becoming one of the most popular trends. But, what is exactly is green computing? The term “green computing” is one that is being used in many different markets and areas all over the world in today’s global technology.Yet, many computer users out there aren’t sure what it means. Green computing is actually pretty easy to explain and to do---it is basically learning to use computer resources more efficiently to help the environment as well as making energy savings. The main goal of a green computing program is to reduce the use of energy and materials that harm the environment. Green computing helps to promote the use of biodegradable products and recycle computer parts whenever possible.Green computing started as early as 1992, when the EPA created Energy Star, which is a voluntary labeling program that promotes energy efficient computing equipment and technologies. It was because of this program that many computer manufacturers launched sleep mode and millions of computer users around the world began to adopt this policy to help save energy when they were not using their computers. The term “green computing” began to be used around the same time as well, and began to become a goal that more companies strive to meet over the years. There are several government agencies that have continued to help strive for better standards for computers and companies to help promote green promoting. Energy Star was actually revised in October of 2006 to make the requirements stricter for computers, and also implemented a ranking system for products. Because of these new requirements, there are over 20 states that have now established a special recycling program for old computers and electronics to help with green computing. Many of today’s IT systems are beginning to rely on both people and hardware to help push their computer systems toward a more green computing system to help both the company and others. This is a hard balance to achieve, as it has to satisfy users, management, and regulatory compliance(顺从). Even the disposal of computer waste is all managed so that everyone in the circle is happy with the outcome. Many companies are learning the best ways that they call go greener when it comes to their computing and also help their business in the process. While many home computer users may not be quite as familiar with green computing as large firms, this term is starting to become more mainstream all around the world and the requirements for new, better computers to help both the companies and the end users of the equipment,(B)请认真阅读下列短文,根据所读内容在文章后表格中的空格里填入一个最恰当的单词。

一、2022学年第二学期浙江省名校协作体试题高三年级英语学科(人与人师生情)LESSONS LEARNED OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOMMr. Gray was my history teacher in tenth grade.I couldn't tell what kind of history he taught for two reasons: one, I never liked history, and two, my body was in class, but my mind wasn't. Mr. Gray wasn't the teacher who offered retakes (补考)on tests; he did so much more for me than that. He offered me a pair of ears and a shoulder to cry on.Before Mr. Gray came along, one major event was taking place in my life. My mom told me she wanted to divorce my dad. Why then? I didn't understand. I barricaded(筑起壁垒)myself in my basement bedroom, listening to angry music and sleeping.I fell into a depression and my grades were falling. Then there was Mr.Gray.I sat against a brick wall outside the library, knees pulled into my chest, head down, surrounded by my noisy friends that I was slowly distancing myself from, when I heard his voice:“Ever feel like you're a fire hydrant(消防栓)and every dog in the neighborhood is stopping by to visit you?”I picked my head up and then I saw Mr.Gray.I had heard him use this line in the classroom a few times before, when it looked like a kid was having a bad day. It usually aroused a laugh and ended there. This time was different though—he was waiting for an answer. Next thing I knew I was following him into the library. We sat amongst the shelves of the mostly empty library for the rest of lunchtime.I don't remember much about that first conversation other than the unconditional promise he made me of lending a pair of ears and a shoulder to cry on. What made him such a special teacher was that he saw that I was struggling and reached out to me outside of the classroom.注意:1.所续写短文的词数应为150左右:2. 续写部分分为两段,每段的开头语已为你写好。

第二组(建议用时:25分钟)阅读理解AAndy is the most unreasonable, pigheaded life form in the world, and he makes me so angry that I could scream! Of course, I love him like a brother. I have to because he is my brother. More than that, he is my twin! That’s right. Andy and Amy (that’s me) have the same curly hair and dark eyes and equally stubborn characters. Yet, though we may look alike, on most issues we usually take completely opposite positions. If I say day, you can count on Andy to say night.Just this week, the hot topic in school was all about the PTA’S proposal (提议) to adopt a school dress principle. Every student would be required to wear a uniform. Uniforms! Can you imagine? Oh, they would be uniforms in color. The dress style would be sort of loose and free.Boys would wear white or blue buttondown shirts, a school tie, blue or gray pants, and a navy blue blazer (运动夹克). Girls would wear white or blue blouses or sweaters, blue or gray pants or skirts, along with a navy blue blazer.Socks or tights could be black, gray, blue, or white. The teachers are divided: Some are in favor of the uniforms, others are opposed. The headmaster has asked the students to express their opinions by voting on the issue before making their decisions. She will have the final word on the dress principle.I think a dress principle is a good idea. The reason is simple. School is tough enough without worrying about looking cool every single day. The fact is, the less I have to decide first thing in the morning, t he better. I can’t tell you how many mornings I look into my closet and just stare, unable to decide what to wear. Of course, there are other mornings when my room looks like a storm had hit it, with bits and pieces of a dozen different possible clothes on the bed and on the floor.I also wouldn’t mind not having to see guys wearing oversized jeans and shirts. And I certainly would welcome not seeing kids showing off designerlabeled clothes.Andy is surprised at my opinion. He says he can’t believe that I would be willing to give up my allAmerican teenage birthright by dressing lik e—well, like a typical teenager. Last night, he even dragged out Mom and Dad’s high school photo albums. What a couple of peaceloving hippies (嬉皮士) they were!“Bruce Springsteen never wore a school uniform. Bob Dylan wouldn’t have been caught dead in a sch ool uniform! If I have to wear a uniform, I won’t feel like me!” he declared. To which I replied, “So your personal heroes didn’t wear school uniforms. Big deal! They went to high school about a million years ago! I feel sorry for you, brother dear. I had no idea that you are so fragile that you would be completely destroyed by gray or blue pants, a white or blue shirt, a tie, and a blazer.”That really made him angry. Then he said, “You’re just mimicking (模仿) what you hear that new music teacher saying!”“That is so not true. I’m saying exactly what I think,” I said, raising my voice in what mom would call “a very rude manner.”“You have always been stupid, and you know it!” he shouted.“Is that so? Anyone who doesn’t agree with you is automatically stupid. And that’s the stupidest thing of all!” I said.Fortunately, the bell rang before we could do each other physical harm, and we went thankfully to our separate classes. The vote for or against uniforms took place later that day. The results of the vote and the headmaster’s decision will be announced next week. I wonder what it will be. I know how I voted, and I’m pretty sure I know how Andy voted. How would you vote — for or against?1.Amy and Andy quarrel because ________.A.they share a cupboardB.Amy likes to show offC.they both have the word for dress principleD.they always take the opposite views on issues2.The story is about ________.A.a conflict of opinions between boys and girlsB.a historical event and is told in the third personC.a personal experience and is told in the first personD.a school policy decision that will affect parents and students3.Amy’s position on school uniforms is most likely based on ________.A.logical conclusions drawn from her own observation and personal experience B.an emotional reaction to what she has been told by people in authority C.her preference for designerlabeled clothesD.not liking anything her brother likes4.Which of the following is the best statement of Andy’s position?A.School clothing should reflect parents’ values.B.Teenagers should never follow the latest fashions in dress.C.How one dresses should be an expression of one’s individuality.D.Wearing school uniforms means one less decision every morning.5.Which of these statements from the story is a form of an emotional appeal?A.The teachers are divided: some are in favor of uniforms; others are opposed.B.You are so fragile that you would be completely destroyed by gray or blue pants.C.The results of the vote and the headmaster’s decision will be announced next week.D.The hot topic in school was all about the PTA’s proposal to adopt a school dress principle.6.What is the best title for the passage?A.A School Dress PrincipleB.My Stubborn Twin BrotherC.Endless Fights with My BrotherD.For or Against? — That Is the QuestionBTeachers and parents usually call attention to the pictures when they read storybooks to preschool children. But a new study suggests that calling attention to the words and letters on the page may lead to better readers. The twoyear study compared children who were read to this way in class with children who were not. Those whose teachers most often discussed the print showed clearly higher skills in reading, spelling and understanding. These results were found one year and even two years later.Shayne Piasta, an assistant professor of teaching and learning at Ohio State University, was an author of the study. She says most preschool teachers would find this method manageable and would need only a small change in the way they teach. They already read storybooks in class. The only difference would be increased attention to the printed text.Ms. Piasta says if you get children to pay attention to letters and words, itmakes sense that they will do better at word recognition and spelling. But she says research suggests that very few parents and teachers do this in a systematic way.The report appears in the journal Child Development.More than three hundred children aged four and five were observed in classrooms in Ohio and Virginia. The children came from poor families and were below average in their language skills. This put them at risk of reading problems later. For thirty weeks, the children took part in a program called Project STAR, for Sit Toget her And Read. The project is based in Ohio State. It tests the shortterm and longterm results of reading regularly to preschool children in their classrooms.Laura Justice in Ohio State was an investigator for the study. She heads the Preschool Language and Literacy Laboratory. She says one of the areas that interests researchers is known as the “locus of learning”.“Where is it that a child learns something? Where is that space? We think we have identified it pretty well in terms of fostering (助长) some children’s knowledge about print.” says Laura Justice. She also says this knowledge can be gained by having focused discussions when reading a book to a child. Laura Justice says, “We think we understand how information about print is transmitted from the adult to the child. And we think we have centered on this intervention that really helps adults center on the things that children need and want to learn.”There are different ways that teachers and parents can talk to children about print. They can point to a letter and discuss it, and even trace the shape with a finger. They can point out a word, “This is ‘dog’.” They can discuss the meaning of the print or how the words tell the story. And they can talk about the organization of the print —for instance, showing how words are written left to right in English.7.When reading storybooks to their children, parents usually ________.A.attract attention to the picturesB.discuss the stories with each otherC.tell some background information firstD.ask some questions about the stories8.Shayne Piasta suggests that preschool teachers should ________.A.read storybooks regularly in classB.learn to manage their class wellC.often discuss the printed words and lettersD.search for a better method of reading9.The children who joined in Project STAR were ________.A.mostly cleverer than othersB.very poor in their readingC.especially good at language skillsD.worried about reading problems10.The underlined word “locus” in Paragraph 8 can be replaced by ________.A.difficulty B.importanceC.best way D.exact place11.The last paragraph mainly tells us ________.A.why we should discuss the meaning of the printB.how we can teach children about printC.the shape of the letter is the focus of teachingD.English words are usually written from left to right阅读理解A1.解析:选D。

阅读理解组合练训练2Ⅰ.阅读理解A(2021·绍兴市柯桥中学月考)Hundreds of villages in rural India are using clean energy powered by the sun. This month,61 households in the village of Baripatha in eastern India were given two solar lamps.Villagers had been using kerosene lamps at night.Kerosene produces pollution and can lead to fires. The Indian government wants to increase the use of solar energy by 500 percent in the next seven years. If it is to reach that goal,100 gigawatts of power must come from solar by 2022.Now,just 4 gigawatts of power created in the country come from the sun.Officials say they want to slow the amount of greenhouse gas emissions.India is now the third largest producer of this gas.The gas contributes to climate change.Arunabha Ghosh is the head of the Council on Energy,Environment and Water,a policy research group in New Delhi. He says “in terms of the share of electricity capacity that Germany achieved through renewables, that transition took about 22 years for Germany. In India's ease, which is a much poorer economy,India is planning to have a similar shift towards renewable energy and nonfossil energy〞within 15 years.India's goal may be helped by the decreased cost of developing solar energy. The government says it wants investors to spend $100 billion over seven years in solar power. It is reducing taxes for some solarrelated investments. And it is permitting nonIndians to invest. This week,Ger,an American renewableenergy company, says it wants to invest $15 billion.SoftBank,a Japanese company, has announced it will partner with companies in India and Taiwan to spend up to $20 billion on solar energy projects.Trina Solar,a Chinese company, plans to spend $500 million to make solar panels. Some people in India are worried that there is not enough land for some of these projects. Many of the projects need large plots of land.Inderpreet Wadhwa created a company called Azure Power. It was one of the earliest investors in solar projects.Hesaid most of them are being built in dry areas of the country,on land that cannot be farmed.本文是一篇新闻报道。

题型重组练(四)(建议用时:30分钟)Ⅰ.阅读理解AIt used to be one of the world’s most splendid train stations, sitting on the FrenchSpanish border—but then it fell into disrepair. Now,writes Chris Bockman, the building is showing new signs of life. The train station was built in iron and glass, complete with a hospital,a restaurant and living quarters for customs officers from both France and Spain. At the time it was nicknamed the “Titanic of the Mountains”.But after the day the station was opened in 1928 by the French president and the Spanish king, flaws quickly became obvious. The rail gauges(轨距) were different,so passengers still had to change trains. It made transporting goods too slow.In the early 1930s,as few as 50 passengers a day were using the station. And then things got worse.During the Spanish Civil War,the tunnels on the Spanish side were sealed off to prevent Republican rebels(反叛者) from bringing weapons ter,the French lost interest in the line. When a train derailed on the French side in 1970,that signaled that France abandoned the line. The grand building itself went to rot.The tracks rusted, the ceilings fell in with the severe winter weather and vandalism(故意破坏财物的行为) did the rest. But a few years ago the local government in Aragon decided to buy the place and restore it,claiming it was a major part of Spanish history. The French government has agreed to reopen the line on its side too.If all goes to plan, the “Titanic of the Mountains”could be back in business within five years before the end of 2022.It is reported that the massive wooden ticket counters at the station have already been restored.1.The following factors contributed to the shutdown of the train station EXCEPT ________.A.its poor appearanceB.different gaugesC.the Spanish Civil WarD.slow transporting speed2.What will probably happen to the train station?A.It will be repaired.B.It will be turned into a museum.C.It will be knocked down.D.It will be sold to the French government.3.What is the best title for the text?A.The Design of a Train StationB.The War Between France and SpainC.The History of a Train StationD.The “Titanic of the Mountains”Coming BackBBeing stuck behind crowds of slow walkers when you’re in a hurry is oneof the most annoying things. But now, Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex, one of the UK’s largest shopping malls, has introduced its very own fast lanefor shoppers in a hurry, aiming to help impatient shoppers avoid slow walkersand the anger that goes with them. The Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex has introduced a 720foot “fast lane”reserved for fast walkers only, just in time for the festive rush. The centre’s management team said,“The lane will help the shoppers who know where they want to go quickly and don’t want to get caught in behind unhurried shoppers at the busiest time of the year.”The fast lane was introduced after a MasterCard survey found that 80 percent of consumers found slow walkers their biggest annoyance while shopping. The research also found that the average walking speed slowed down by 21 percent during the festive shopping period, as most shoppers spent more time window shopping during this period.Gary Mortimer, an expert from the Queensland University of Technology, said he wasn’t surprised by the promotion about the launch of the fast lane, and thought the concept would appeal to shoppers all over the world. “Crowded parking lots and busy shopping centres tend to be two of the biggest complaints of shoppers over the festive season,”he said.“I think the fast lanes are a new approach. However, I suspect it will be a bit like fast lanes on the highway, so it might end up being more trouble than its worth.”The MasterCard survey also identified the four most common types of shoppers. They include “Skaters” who try and make their way through crowds politely,“Dodgers”who move down the paths to avoid slow walkers, “Bulldozers”who push their way through crowds, and “Tutters”who express their frustrations to slow walkers.4.The fast lane is intended for the shoppers who ________.A.can’t move quickly because of physical disabilitiesB.buy things on their shopping lists quicklyC.take their time to do window shoppingD.want to leave the mall quickly5.What is Gary Mortimer’s attitude to the fast lane?A.Supportive.B.Indifferent.C.Critical. 题型重组练(九)(建议用时:30分钟)Ⅰ.阅读理解(2019·杭州高三模拟)A primary school principal in north China hasbecome the latest Internet celebrity for leading some cool moves during amorning exercise routine with his students.Every morning, 40yearold principal Zhang Pengfei at the Xi Guan Primary School in Linyi county, Shanxi province would lead about 700 pupils on the playground in a synchronised “ghost shuffle”routine—a dance that incorporates contemporary jazz steps with heel, toe and arm movements. The bold headmaster thought the fun and energetic exercise routine would better encourage students to get active instead of “being glued to their mobile phones”.The school’s new 30minute dance routine has replaced the governmentimposed broadcast callisthenics(健身操) programme, a short workout that has been a requirement at every primary, middle and secondary school in China since 1951. “I thought we needed a change because the students have been losing interest in doing the broadcast callisthenics routine,”Zhang told Southern Metropolis Daily. The dedicated principal said he came across a group of people doing the “ghost shuffle”routine at a public plaza last summer and decided to learn the dance himself. “I thought the dance would be great for kids,”he said. “The music is full of energy and it really gets the happy feeling of flowing.”In October, he introduced the choreographed(编舞) routine to all of his students and shortly after, even teachers and staff were joining in.“Now the students aren’t constantly on their phones. I sometimes catch them watching different dance routine videos and learning new moves!” the proud headmaster told reporters. The video quickly went around on Chinese social media, with a Weibo topic page titled “principal leads students in ghost dance routine”gathering 250 million views. “This is perhaps the best adaption of sport and entertainment for children,”a comment on Weibo read.1.What can we know from the passage?A.Zhang Pengfei is a primary school principal in south China.B.Xi Guan Primary School’s new 30minute dance routine is both fun and energetic.C.Doing the broadcast callisthenics routine is only required at primary schools in China.D.Few people showed interest in Zhang Pengfei’s ghost dance routine video on Weibo.2.What can we infer from the last paragraph?A.People hold a critical attitude towards the adaptation.B.People hold an indifferent attitude towards the adaptation.C.People hold a negative attitude towards the adaptation.D.People hold a supportive attitude towards the adaptation.3.What can we learn from the passage?A.The “ghost shuffle”routine was created by Zhang Pengfei.B.The “ghost dance”is a form of callisthenics in China.C.The principal leads students in the ghost dance routine.D.The primary school is famous in China.4.From which part of a magazine can we read this passage?A.Agriculture.B.Technology.C.Economy.
