1My Super Fun Research and Study Trip!Wow, I just got back from the coolest trip ever! Our class went on a research and study adventure for a whole week. I'm so excited to tell you all about it!It started when our teacher, Miss Johnson, told us we were going on a special field trip. But this wasn't just going to be a regular old museum or park visit. Nope, we were actually going to live, learn and do research at a real working farm for 5 whole days and nights! At first, I wasn't sure what to think. Living on a farm? Wouldn't that be kind of boring and smelly? But Miss Johnson got us all really psyched up about it. She said we'd get to collect data and learn about things like plants, animals, crops, and what it really takes to run a farm. We'd be like real scientists out in the field! How cool is that?My mom had to pack me an extra big suitcase with warm clothes, rain boots, a jacket and even an extra pair of jeans in case I got too dirty or muddy. The morning we left, I was bursting with excitement and couldn't wait to get going on our adventure. After a long bus ride into the countryside, we finally arrived at Crawford Family Farm. Let me tell you, it was nothing like I expected! The farm seemed to go on forever with big flat fields, lots of barns and even a little pond off to one side. We met the owners, a super nice couple named John and Sarah Crawford who showed us around. That first day, we got divided into groups and went off on data collection missions. My group's job was to investigate the different crops they grow by taking samples and measurements. We went out into the massive veggie fields with our clipboards, rulers and little baggies to gather information.I've never seen so many rows of corn, lettuce, tomatoes and other yummy things in my whole life! We labelled the samples, measured the plant heights, counted leaves per stalk and looked for any problems like browning or insects. I even found a cool caterpillar to observe up close. By the end, I had dirt stains all over my jeans but I didn't even care. Learning was too much fun! After a delicious farm lunch of veggie soup, fresh bread and milk, we went off to learn about the livestock next. I have to admit, the farm animals were my favorite part. The Crawfords have cows, pigs, chickens and even a couple of horses! We got to go right into the pens and barns to do things like brush the cows, collect eggs from the chicken coops, and record data on food and water consumption.I absolutely loved getting up close with the adorable calves and following the farmhands around as they did their chores. I'll never forget the feeling of a cow's rough tongue licking my hand while I brushed its sides. Or watching the frenzy as all the hens scrambled around when Sarah scattered corn for them. Even mucking out a stall wasn't as gross as I thought it would be.At night after a hearty dinner of chicken and mashed potatoes, we'd gather around to analyze all the data and samples we collected that day. Miss Johnson taught us how to organize it all into charts, graphs and lab reports just like real scientists. We'd present our findings on each area of the farm, then get to relax with s'mores around the campfire. I felt like such agrown-up expert, teaching the class everything I'd learned. On the last day, we got to harvest some of the crops we'd been studying all week and bring them home. I picked so manyjuicy strawberries, crisp green beans and sweet corn that I thought my basket would break! John and Sarah even showed me how to milk a cow. It was harder than I expected, but I felt so proud to drink that fresh, cold milk afterwards. As we waved goodbye to head back home, I knew I'd never forget this amazing research trip. Spending a week fully immersed in farm life gave me such a deeper appreciation for where our food comes from and how much hard work goes into growing it. I can't wait to go back to school and share everything I've learned through my reports, samples and photos. Who knew studying could be this fun?

We have a very perfect drainage system under the stone Slate Street. Even when it rains cats and dogs, there won’t be too much hydrops on the street.

This architecture complex is the largest and best-preserved ancient building in East China area. It was a seven-hall building , but unfortunately now there are only 5 left.

Once the manager receives the goods from the pledgers, he will condescend to the pledgers and decide the value of the goods with his experience, but he will just offer the lowest price with no bargaining
The second hall is the “Lisan Hall”. It has a history of over 300 years. The third is the main hall building it is the residence of the master. The fourth is small hall building where his children lived. There is a canteen downstairs.
The furniture in the buildings is made of red wood, the beams and posts are made of Nanmu. Nanmu grow only 1 cm every 10 years, you can imagine how precious they are. The Fifth hall was the warehouse back then and is converted to the stone exhibition hall.。
