如何辨别方位、如何指明路线成为当代中学生务必需要掌握的生活技能。

教学课题：牛津7B unit3 comic strip & welcome to the unit教材分析：本课内容主要是让学生学会如何表达方位，并能综合运用所学知识指明路线。

教学方法：多媒体和录音机。

教学目标：1. 学会方位词及方位词短语。

2. 能用方位词表达路线，并能运用所学知识画出路线图并指明路线。

教学过程：Step1：Lead-inA 1. Talk about the weather, start with the questions: “what‟s the weather like today?”“Does thesun often shine in the sky?”2. Lead in the sun , present the picture of the sun on the screen.3. Ask: “where does the sun rise up?”4. Lead in the direction: the sun rises up from the east.B 1. Present the picture of the directions on the screen.east2. Let students understand the east by watching the path of the sun‟s rising up.3. Let students watch the path of the sun‟s falling down, then make them speak out the westby answering the question …Where does the sun fall down?‟.4. Teach other directions, such as south、north、northeast、southeast、northwest、southwest。

5. Read these directions twice together.Step2：PresentationA 1. Present the picture on the screen.Tom ‟s home2. Ask one student about the question: “Where is the place A? ” Let the student answer: “It is north of Tom ‟s home ”.3. Do the same, ask about the place B 、C 、D, lead out north-west of, south of, south-east of4. Let students read these phrases twice together.B 1. Let students act it out after reading.Step 6: Exercise1.Present a question on the screen: “If someone doesn‟t know the way, How can you helphim?”2.Say: “You should tell him the directions, maybe you can draw a map about the way”.Present the phrase “draw a map about the way” on the screen.3.Ask students to draw a map about the route by listening to teacher‟s command4.Let students make another dialogue about finding the way.5.Encourage and give them some help if necessary.Step 7: Homework1.Review the new words and phrases after class.2.Finish the exercise in the workbook.教学反思：本课教学设计是采用先以询问天气情况，导入到每天太阳从东边升起及从西边落下去，引出方位词东方与西方的导入手法，该导入贴进日常生活，学生兴趣比较浓厚。

在教会其他方位词如南方、北方、东南方、西北方等不同方位之后，运用大量的语言情景，先以Tom 的家为中心点，设置四个不同的位置，让学生运用刚学到的方位词表述方位；然后再以教师所在教室的不同位置创设另一种情景，让学生再次巩固刚学的方位词。

接着通过创设真实的语言情景，先从课本Welcome to the unit上的地图再到旅游景点图逐步激发学生的兴趣，让学生从被动的回应转到主动讨论及运用方位词上，学生的主体地位得到了很好的体现。

再者，由‘如何去故宫博物馆旅游’的交通方式，过渡到交通方式名词或短语上面来，很好地完成了本课的Welcome to the unit部分。

然后再由‘去故宫博物馆旅游’这个话题转到‘Eddie和Hobo去旅游不认识路’这个话题上，进入到Comic Strip部分。

最后，通过讨论‘不认识路如何处理？’这个深层问题，让学生学会听指令画地图，并用英语指明路线，从而达到本章节要求学生运用方位词处理日常生活问题的能力。
