Tips on Book ReportsGenerally speaking, a book report consists of three main parts including Introduction, Body and Conclusion.IntroductionThe introduction segment of your book report starts with a strong introductory sentence that grabs your reader's attention. Somewhere in your first paragraph, you should also state the book's title (italicized), the topic, and the author's name as well as brief statements about the book's angle, the genre, the theme, and a hint about the writer's feelings in the introduction. For example: “The Red Badge of Courage, by Stephen Crane, is a book about a young man growing up during the Civil War. Henry Fleming, the main character in The Red Badge of Courage, begins his life-changing adventure as a naive young man, eager to experience the glory of war. He soon faces the truth about life, war, and his own self-identity on the battlefield. However, The Red Badge of Courage, by Stephen Crane, is a coming of age novel, published by D. Appleton and Company in 1895, about thirty years after the Civil War ended. In this book, the author reveals the ugliness of war, and examines its relationship to the pain of growing up.BodyIn the body of your book report, you will use your notes to guide you through an extended summary of the book. You will weave your own thoughts and impressions into the plot summary. Before you get started on the body of the report, take a few minutes to jot down some helpful information by considering the following points.∙Did you enjoy the book?∙Was it well written?∙What was the genre?∙Which characters play important roles that relate to the overall theme?∙Did you notice reoccurring symbols?∙Can you identify the writer's thesis? (non-fiction)∙What is the writing style?∙Did you notice a tone?∙Was there an obvious slant or bias?ConclusionConclude your report with a paragraph or two that covers these additional points. As you lead to your final paragraph, consider some additional impressions and opinions: ∙Was the ending satisfactory (for fiction)?∙Was the thesis supported by strong evidence (for non-fiction)?∙What interesting or notable facts do you know about the author?∙Would you recommend this book?Sample Book ReportTitle:American Dream VS Materialism in The Great GatsbyIntroduction:So many things have been said about the American Dream; so many people have struggled against themselves to prove that it does not only exist but can also be achieved. So many people worked hard and devoted their lives to this dream. Do we really and profoundly feel what it means, or do we keep following the stereotypes that we have created in our very own minds. To make a long story short –What is an American Dream? One of the most brilliant examples revealing a particular point of view on the matter is the outstanding work of Scott Fitzgerald “The Great Gatsby”. Fitzgerald shows how this dream is full of materialism, how materialism influencing the lives of people makes it hard for them so see the reality objectively. As the result of being so materialistic Fitzgerald’s characters start idealizing not only their way o f life but their feelings, too. Their existence seems to be a theatre performance, where the actors are obviously overacting.Body:Fitzgerald shares his determination of the “American dream” mainly through the character of Jay Gatsby. Being a man who shows through his own actions that success is his prerogative, he truly believes in the “American dream of success”. He is a man that gets whatever he wants and gets it primarily by the means of money. As Fitzgerald shows Gatsby’s life we see how easily he ca n change anything with the help of money if he wants to. Therefore we can assume that psychologically he is not ready to take things for what they are. We suppose that it is the reason for his idealization of love that later on lead to the collapse of his dream, the collapse of the American dream.Scott Fitzgerald shows the Gatsby’s encirclement and he shows the core of “the dream” through their desire to realize it. "Sure I did. I was going to wear it tonight, but it was too big in the bust and had to be altered. It was gas blue with lavender beads. Two hundred and sixty-five dollars." [Fitzgerald 36] – answers the girl after being simply asked by Nick Carraway if she had accepted a gift. The stress on materialism and mentioning money and material things wherever it is possible is a characteristical trait of people representing the era of Fitzgerald’s “American dream”.The question he asks is from out point of view a vital question concerning people trying to achieve it: Is this dream really worth of achieving on such almost impossible conditions? And therefore do we really need this kind of a dream? Gatsby’s life is actually going on in the past, though he lives in the present because everything he does is done to change it. Fitzgerald reveals to the reader that happiness is not a thing, which you can buy with money or handpick with power. His fulfillment of the requirements oh the “Dream” has come to such a point that between the lines the reader sees how desperate he is. So what is the American Dream that is criticized in the definition of Scott Fitzgerald? It is successful life and work through which people obtain the material acknowledgement of their success and become happy when they do. The problem is that having the person you “love” also start being a “material acknowledgement”, too.The essence of the book is that when the moral principles are low, people choose any means for achieving success and people are interested only in the result. The real understanding of the “American dream” is lost by the characters in this book and by this Fitzerald shows that there is no need for a dream like this. It is a dream with the same name, but with a different content. Having money is not a guarantee of true happiness. "Her voice is full of money [Fitzerald 102]," says Gatsby, “I can buy her,” means Fitzgerald. We want to conclude using the scene when Daisy does confess that she was the one driving the car and by this she signs Gatsby’s death penalty. She uses Gatsby and he is ready to put her guilt over his shoulders. This little scene shows how much is love and devotion valued and how responsible can these “American dream seekers” be.Conclusion:Success “against all odds” may not bring happiness but in the contrary it may bring even a greater pain and disappointment. What Fitzgerald believes is that the American dream has been corrupted by materialism, by the effort to substitute the true meaning of the dream with its fake understanding of people who lack morality. We support Scott Fitzgerald in his opinion. This dream will be not achievable as long as people do not stop garbling it. They need to start understanding the real value of the treasure that is so rare nowadays: dignity and forget about materialism.全文结束请添加参考书目,即你所阅读书籍的相关信息,如下例:Bibliography:F. A model reportHere is a report written by a student in an introductory sociology source.A Report on I Know Why the Caged Bird SingsIn I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings (New Y ork: Bantam Books, 1971), Maya Angelou tells the story of her earliest years. Angelou, a dancer, poet, and television producer as well as a writer, has continued her life story in three more volumes of autobiography. I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings is the start of Maya Angelou’s story; in this book, she writes with crystal clarity abo ut the pains and joys of being black in America. (Introductory paragraph)(Part I: summary topic sentence for summary paragraph) I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings covers Maya Angelou’s life from age three to age sixteen. We first meet her as a gawky little g irl in a white woman’s cut-down lavender silk dress. She has forgotten the poem she had memorized for the Easter service, and all she can do is rush out of grandmother and uncle. The town is rigidly segregated: ―people in Stamps used to say that the whites in our town were so prejudiced that a Negro couldn’t buy vanilla ice cream‖ (40). Y et Angelou has some good things in her life: her adored older brother Bailey, her success in school, and her pride in her grandmother’s quiet strength and importance in the black community. There is laughter, too, as when a preacher is interrupted in midsermon by an overly enthusiastic woman shouting, ―Preach it, I say preach it!‖ The woman, in a frenzied rush of excitement, hits the preacher with her purse; his false teeth fly out of his mouth and land at Angelou’s feet. Shortly after this incident, Angelou and her brother are taken by her father to live in California with their mother. Here, at age eight, she is raped by her mother’s boyfriend, who is mysteriously murdered after receiving only a suspended sentence for his crime. She returns, silent and withdrawn, to Stamps, where the gloom is broken when a friend of her mother introduces her to the magic of great books. Later, at age thirteen, Angelou returns to California. She learns how to dance. She runs away after a violent family fight and lives for a month in a junkyard. She becomes the first black female to get a job on the San Francisco streetcars. She graduates from high school eight months pregnant. And she survives.(Part II: reaction topic sentence for first reaction paragraph)I was impressed with the vividness of Maya Angelou’s writing style. For example, she describes the lazy dullness of her life in Stamps: ―Weekdays revolved in a sameness wheel. They turned int o themselves so steadily and inevitably that each seemed to be the original of yesterday’s rough draft‖ (93). She also knows how to bring a scene to life, as when she describes her eighth-grade graduation. For months, she has been looking forward to this event, knowing she will be honored for her academic success. She is even happy with her appearance: her hair has become pretty, and her yellow dress is a miracle of hand-sewing. But the ceremony is spoiled when the speaker—a white man—implies that the only success available to blacks is in athletics. Angelou remembers: ―the man’s dead words fell like bricks around the auditorium and too many settled in my belly…. The proud graduating class of 1940 had dropped their heads‖ (152). Later, Angelou uses a crystal-clear image to describe her father’s mistress sewing: ―she worked the thread through the flowered cloth as if she were sewing the torn ends of her life together‖(208). With such vivid details and figures of speech, Maya Angelou re-creates her life for her readers.(Topic sentence for second reaction paragraph)I also reacted strongly to the descriptions of injustices suffered by blacks two generations ago. I was as horrified as the seven-year-old Maya when some ―powhitetrash‖ girls torment her dignified grandmother, calling her ―Annie‖ and mimicking her mannerisms. In another incident, Mrs. Cullina, Angelou’s white employer, decidesthat Margurite (Angelou’s real name) is too difficult to pronounce and so renames her Mary. This loss of her name –a ―hellish horror‖(91)—is another humiliation suffered at white hands, and Angelou leaves Mrs. Cullinan’s employ soon afterward. Later, Angelou encounters overt discrimination when a white dentist tells her grandmother, ―Annie, my policy is I’d rather stick my hand i n a dog’s mouth than in a nigger’s‖(160)—and only slightly less obvious prejudice when the streetcar company refuses to accept her application for a conductor’s job. We see Angelou over and over as the victim of a white society.(Topic sentence for third reaction paragraph)Although I was saddened to read about the injustices, I rejoiced in Angelou’s triumphs. Angelou is thrilled when she hears the radio broadcast of Joe Louis’s victory over Primo Carnera: ―A Black boy. Some Black mother’s son. He was the st rongest man in the world‖ (114). She weeps with pride when the class valedictorian leads her and her fellow eighth-graders in singing the Negro National Anthem. And there are personal victories, too. One of these comes after her father has gotten drunk in a small Mexican town. Though she has never driven before, she manages to get her father into the car and drives fifty miles through the night as he lies intoxicated in the backseat. Finally, she rejoices in the birth of her son: ―He was beautiful and mine.Totally mine. No one had bought him for me‖ (245). Angelou shows us, through these examples, that she is proud of her race—and of herself.(Concluding paragraph) I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings is a remarkable book. Angelou could have been just another casualty of race prejudice. Y et by using her intelligence, sensitivity, and determination, she succeeds in spite of the odds against her. And by writing with such power, she lets us share her defeats and joys. She also teaches us a vital lesson: with strength and persistence, we can all escape our cages—and sing our songs.。

However, Boxtel, a man living in the next door, also has a crush on the money. He then supervises every movement of Cornelius secretly for fear thatCornelius may grow better tulips than his own. Besides this, he also carries out many surrep titious activities to destroy Cornelius’ tulips by all means. Once a while, he accuses Cornelius of harbouring letters that might be harmful to the government so that Cornelius is sent to the prison without giving provocation. This nearly causes him to death. Even here, Cornelius manages to grow tulips with the help of Rosa, the daughter of the prison-keeper. But unfortunately, their first black tulip is stolen by Boxtel. It’s Rosa who proves the truth and saves Coenelius by herself! It’s a happy ending in this novel as it says “Those who have suffered much, have a right to be happy.” This quotation brings the whole story to an end and will certainly motivate readers to go on. Rosa herself will remain as quite a good example, too.Besides, “justice could def eat evil however difficult it is and whatever the process would be” can be easily seen as the author’s deep philosophy towards life.By reading it, the reader can both enjoy the plots and be stimulated!Sample 2A Book Report of The Black TulipBy Huang Xin, Talents Class, 2006I have recently read the simplified version of The Black Tulip published by Shanghai Translation Press. This novel was written by the distinguished French writer Alexandre Dumas Pere, the pioneer of the Romanticism Literature Movement in France. He was so popular that his works had been translated into several languages and welcomed by readers all over the world. This novel took 17th century Dutch bourgeois revolutionary period of intense political struggle and the turbulent life as its background. This gist of the story is as follows. The leading role Cornelius is a young doctor who completely doesn’t inquire about politics. He loves growing tulips and is trying to cultivate a black tulip without any other color on it at all. In order to obtain the considerable bonus offered by the government to the first man who cultivates the very kind of black tulip, Boxtel, Cornelius’ neighbor, tries to destroy and steal the bulbs of Corne lius, even kill him. Fortunately, Cornelius in the prison gets acquainted with the prison-keeper’s daughter Rosa and they fall in love. Under Rosa’s help, Cornelius realized his dream and achieves happiness at last. It’s firmly believed by some people that when you become rich and successful, happiness will naturally follow. After reading this novel, I believe that nothing is further from the truth. To my mind, the secret to happiness lies in your successful work, in your contribution towards others’ happin ess and in your wealth you have earned through your own honest efforts.Firstly, in order to obtain happiness, you should achieve your successful work, in order to achieve your successful work, you should go through thick and thin. As the writer said, “those who have suffered much, have a right to be happy.” Take the two leading characters for example. They eventually reach happiness after suffering a lot both psychologically and physiologically.Secondly, your happiness should live in your contribution tow ards others’ happiness, but not on the contrary, in destroying others’ happiness. If you get your happiness by taking advantage of others or by hurting others, you won’t be happy with it for long, atleast, you won’t enjoy the real happiness. People will think you’re a mean person. Boxtel was a typical case. He would never gain happiness.Thirdly, wealth obtained through dishonest means doesn’t bring happiness. Happiness is not an end, it is a process. It’s a continuous process of honest and productive work which makes a real contribution to others and makes you feel you are a useful and worthy person.Sample 3A Book Report of Thirty-Nine StepsBy Ding Xiaobiao, Class 1, 2005 The book I read is an abbreviated version of John Buchan’s Thirty-Nine Steps, which was published in 2004 for a second time by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. John Buchan, a Scotish writer and politician, had written lots of adventurous novels during his lifetime. And the Thirty-Nine Steps, written in 1915, is one of his most popular novels. The adventurous story took place on the eve of the First World War. An Englishman called Richard Hannay accidentally got a piece of information that a group of German spies plan to murder the Greek Prime Minister and steal the English military secrets so as to stir up a world war. Leaving aside his own safety and danger, our witty leading role socialized with the sly German spies bravely. After going through all kinds of hardships, he finally conveyed the information to the Foreign Secretary. He shattered the German spies’ intrigue in the end. What was written in the little black notebook? Who was the mysterious Black Stone described in the notebook? Which thirty-nine steps were of great importance? Through reading the book, you will find out how our hero searched for the answers to those confusions.I am deeply touched by our hero’s determination to defense his motherland. Believe it or not, my heart jumped violently when the hero was in danger and felt released when everything went on smoothly. This book is written very well for its details are described lively. What’s more, it also teaches us a lesson that all of us could do our little bit to contribute to our motherland especially when she is in great trouble. So, enjoy it while reading!Sample 4A Book Report of Tom Brown’s SchooldaysBy You Meizhou, Class 1, Grade 2006 Tom Brown’s Schooldays is a simplified version which is written by Michael Wist er. And the original work is by Thomas Hughes who was born in Berkshire in the south of England. He was not only a writer, but also a politician and reformer.Tom Brown’s Schooldays was published by Shanghai Translation Press in 1857. It was Thomas’ first work and also his most influential work. It is famous in England as well as in America. The simplified version has totally 128 pages and it is sold at RMB¥5.8.Tom Brown’s Schooldays was set on the eve of the Queen Victoria time. It showed how students fe lt through the vivid narration of T om’s and some other students’ life in the Rugby school and the school environment.. Rugby was one of the most influential schools at that time. But the public schools were under bad government. In the school, there was agood deal of bullying, physically punishing students and also quarrels between teachers. The teacher-student relationship was intensive. People thought masters and boys were natural enemies. But after some significant reforms on the school teaching methods by the master Thomas Arnold, the school appeared a new look. It was under such surroundings that leading role Tom was educated and grew up.At first Tom feared the master, but when he knew how anxiously and carefully the master had watched over these stud ents’ lives he looked upon him with love and respect and thought of him as a very wise and good man. As the book said, “Now Tom’s faith was complete, and if next term the Doctor had stopped all football ad cricket and fagging, T om would have supported him with all his faith.”So when Tom learnt the news of the Dr. Arnold’s death, he seemed to have lost the center point of his world. We can see how much Tom loved and respected him. And this reminds me of the book Harry Potter. Harry had the same feeling as Tom when he watched his old master killed by the enemies. Harry Potter is one of the books I love most. So when I saw some similarities with Harry Potter in this book, something drove me to read on. And in Tom’s school there were some activities also remind ing me of the book Harry Potter. The book interests me in some things more, such as the boys’ catching birds, fishing. This shows me the beautiful life they lived and this is what I look forward to.Sample 5A Book Report of Thirty-nine StepsBy Lin Chengyan, Class 3, Grade 2007 The book Thirty-nine Steps is written by John Buchan. This simplified version is adapted by Roland John. Its publisher is Beijing Foreign Language University. It tells an adventure story. The gist of the story is as follows. Before the World War I breaks out, a British Richard Hannay happens to get the secrecy that the German spies plan to kill the Greek Prime Minister on June 15th in order to cause the world war with this excuse from an American reporter Scudder. He runs the risk of handing the information to the Foreign Officer in time through thick and thin. And then he does the London police a favor to catch the members of the Black Stone. It’s such a well-done book that I like it very much. The story is so exciting that it catches my attention all the time. I’m holding my breath every moment Hannay faces with danger and is nearly caught by the enemies. The plots change so naturally and the words seem to be attractive. There’s growing a great respect to Hannay from the b ottom of my heart. He has a strong personality. He could have lived a comfortable life in London without hardship. And he doesn’t know Scudder very well, but he likes him. He also enjoyed an adventure. His most important valuable personality is that he loves peace so much. In order to create a happy life for the people all over the world, he gave up his own happiness to run a risk of handing the information. I can also learn that he is an unselfish man. While reading this book, I realize that Hannay is a person of intelligence. To my surprise, he figures out what the letters mean in Scudder’s notebook. He learns that the 39 steps points out that the Black Stone lives in somewhere by the sea. He always manages to escape. It shows that Hannay also has great courage in disguising as the Fishman and some other persons. No matter how dangerous it was, he never gave up.However, history has its own regularity. Although Hannay tries his best to avoid the War from breaking out, it took place a few months later.Sample 6A Book Report of Tom Brown’s SchooldaysBy Chen Yixian, Class 4, Grade 2007Tom Brown’s Schooldays is the first but the most influential work of T omas Hughs. It became popular once it was published. Here, I’d like to present you i ts abridged version, which is adapted by Yao Tiancheng. It has a total of 133 pages and a rather low price of RMB¥5.8. The abridged version was first published in 1983 and then reprinted in 2000 by Shanghai Translation Press.Tom Brown’s Schooldays is really a nice book for us teenagers. It’s set in Rugby, the then famous public school. The story is based on the author’s own experience in his early study age. It portrays the growth of Tom Brown, the leading character, and his friends East and Arthur. At that time there was a bad atmosphere in Rugby that the big boys would make the pupils in lower forms do the fagging for them. Tom showed a sense of justice and courage to fight against the bullies. On the other hand, T om was immature to regard it as a pleasure to do what he was told not to do.It was Arthur, a little boy, that made T om change so much. Arthur was weak in body but strong in mind. His influence on Tom was gradual but great. Despite that East shared much in common with T om. Arthur did become a friend, even a teacher to Tom. With the help of each other, the three finally became more of a man.In a word, Tom Brown’s schooldays is a book worth reading. When you page through the book, you may find you’re looking back upon your own childhood. So how ar e you still wasting your time now? Go and get one!Sample 7A Book Report of Tom Brown’s SchooldaysBy Shen Yue, Class 7, Grade 2007Recently I read a book with the title Tom Brown’s Schooldays written by Tomas Hughs, who is a British writer, reformer and politician. His other works, such as Tom Brown at Oxford, A Life of Alfred the Great and Scouring of the White Horse, are all very famous. Of all these books, Tom Brown’s Schooldays is the maiden and most successful one. Since published in 1857, it has become popular with youngsters.Tom Brown’s Schooldays is a biography of Tom Brown. It was set in the context of the author’s schooldays in Rugby. By describing the study lives of T om and his friends, the book acquaints us the then situations of Rugby school and thoughts of students there.Rugby school was the most influential public school at that time. However, it wasn’t in good order. As old Brooke, captain of the School House side when Tom was just a new boy, had said, “ there is a good deal of bullying.” What’s more, “masters and boys are natural enemies.” Teachers there never treated students well, except the Doctor, Tomas Arnold. He reformed principles of the school and thereby had an important influence on the practice of British education. He watched over boys’ lives anxiously and carefully. Inturn, he won Tom’s honour and love. In such surroundings, Tom “opened his eyes to see the joy and beauty of life and had softened his heart to feel the fellowship of all living souls.”The characterizations in this book are skillful. There are many subtleties worth attention. For instance, when Arnold died, Tom came back to Rugby. Through characterizing his reaction, complexion, action, psychology and words, this book presented Tom with real emotions at that news wonderfully. “ If only he could see the Doctor there for five minutes, and tell him what was in his heart, how much he loved and respected him.” Tom Brown’s Schooldays focused on Tom’s growth. The part related to the Doctor didn’t make up a larger percentage. Instead, the author paid much attention to the contradictions between schoolboys. Nevertheless, it didn’t weaken the theme. On the contrary, it made the theme more outstanding. That’s what we should learn from this book.I ap preciate this book. I’d like to recommend it to learners at my level. It is not too difficult, so we can get the ideas easily and learn something about the author’s writing skills at the same time. It is really worth reading.***纸张;格式;不是要求的书;语法(write, begin, read);态度; 字数The number of pages is 134/It has 134 pages in all/in total/There are 134 pages in all/in total; The price of the book is/It is worth /It is sold at RMB¥7.8。

Book Report Requirements1.Title of the report/font: times new roman, 4, bold, middle( eg. Growing up by Russell Baker)2.Subtitles: Generation Introduction, Main characters, Plot Summary, Personal Impression,Conclusion/ font: times new roman, 5, bold, left(eg. General Introduction)3. Main body/ format: times new roman, 5, justify align, default line spacing, default margin, first line indent: 6 letter4. ContentGeneration IntroductionThe first sentence should state for which instructor and class the book-report is being written. The second sentence should state the title of the book and the author's name. The third sentence should tell how many pages the book has and the name of the publisher. The fourth sentence can state basic bibliographic information about the book. Bibliographic information means not only the author and title but also what company published the book, what year it was published in and any other relevant information such as the edition and if the book has been translated, simplified or abridged. (see copyright page and the back of the title page.)The next sentence should state the reason(s) you decided to read this book. Why did you choose this particular book? Typical reasons might be:✓You like the author.✓You like this type of book (i.e. mystery, western, adventure or romance, etc.).✓Someone recommended the book to you.✓It was on a required reading list.✓You liked the cover. These reasons do not have to be complex. Most people choose the books they read because they like the author or somebody recommended it to them. If you chose the book because you like the author, then state why you like that author. An optional sentence can be used if the cover (back cover) of the book gives you any additional information then add a sentence with that information.✓Was the book a best seller?✓Are there X million copies in print?✓Did it win any major awards?Main bodyThere are two main sections for this part. The first is an explanation of what the book is about. The second is your opinions about the book and how successful it is. There are some differences between reports on fiction or other imaginative writing and reports on non-fiction books. But for both, a good place to start is to explain the author's purpose and/or the main themes of the book. Then you can summarize.✓For fiction or other creative writing:Provide the theme as well as the brief descriptions of the setting, the point of view (who tells the story), the protagonist, and other major characters. State who the main character or charactersof the book are, what their relations are, and why they are important. If there is a distinct mood or tone, discuss that as well.✓For non-fiction:Provide a general overview of the author's topic, main points, and argument. What is the thesis? What are the important conclusions?Plot Summary✓For fiction or other creative writing:Give a concise plot summary. Along with the sequence of major events, you may want to discuss the book's climax and resolution, and/or literary devices such as foreshadowing. But, if you are writing a review, be careful not to give away important plot details or the ending.✓For non-fiction:Don't try to summarize each chapter or every angle. Choose the ones that are most significant and interesting to you.Make sure you cover all of the major parts of the plot. You might have to go back through the book, chapter by chapter, and make a few notes.Analysis and EvaluationIn this section you analyze or critique the book. You can write about your own opinions; just be sure that you explain and support them with examples. Some questions you might want to consider:✓Did the author achieve his or her purpose?✓Is the writing effective, powerful, difficult, beautiful?✓What are the strengths and weaknesss of the book?✓For non-fiction, what are the author's qualifications to write about the subject? Do you agree with the author's arguments and conclusions?✓What is your overall response to the book? Did you find it interesting, moving, dull?✓Would you recommend it to others? Why or why not?Personal Impressions and ConclusionStart with a sentence that states that you are now writing a conclusion. (For example: "My final thoughts on 'A Fine Balance' are that it is a fascinating book but I am not entirely sure if I completely understood the thematic message of the book.") State your reasons why you liked and/or disliked the book using different words. Write a sentence or two about what you learned from the book. Close with a sentence that states whether you would recommend the book to others. Don't be afraid to give your own honest impressions of the book. After all, if you've read the book thoroughly, you are entitled to your own interpretation of it.Typically, your book report should not exceed two pages, and it should be somewhere between 600 and 800 words in length.5. Due time: 2, December (Monday)。
