During the summer vacation, I went on a trip to Beijing with my family. Beijing is the capital city of China and it is a famous tourist destination with a long history and rich culture. We visited many places of interest such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven.

我们一家人在暑假期间去了北京旅游。北京是中国的首都，是一个历史悠久、文化丰富的著名旅游地。我们参观了很多景点，如长城、故宫和天坛。

The Great Wall is a magnificent architectural wonder that stretches thousands of miles across China’s northern border. We climbed to the top of the wall and enjoyed the breathtaking view. The Forbidden City was the imperial palace for dynasties of Chinese Emperors. It consists of 980 buildings and it is the largest palace complex in the world. The Temple of Heaven was used by Emperors in ancient China to pray for good harvests. It is a beautiful park with many ancient buildings and temples.

During our trip, we also tried many traditional Beijing snacks such as roast duck, jianbing (a type of Chinese pancake), and Beijing yogurt. We had a great time exploring the city and experiencing

the local food and culture.
