1. Video-watching (class work) (3 minutes)
Play a short video about a scene of drowning. Encourage the students to use as many words as they can to describe what they see in the video.
• Set a new task about giving instructions for another common contingency – drowning.
• Try to expand the instructions above into the form of a formal composition.

• All the language knowledge and language skills of this unit are designed around first aid. • Help students to improve their writing skills by writing a passage about giving first aid. • This period will give the students some moral education.
(First, you should pull the person out of the water and lay him on his back.)
