【语法】
本单元中学习first（首先）, next（接着）, then（然后）, finally（最后）这四个副词，表示故事发生的先后顺序。

例如：（小猫钓鱼的故事）
First, the cats wait for the fish to come up.
Next, they use a worm to attract the fish.
Then, they catch the fish quickly.
Finally, they enjoy their delicious meal.
【知识点分析】
1. First , we buy presents for our family and friends. 首先，我们为我们的家人和朋友们买礼物。

buy sth for sb = buy sb sth为某人买某物, 例如：
I buy a watch for my mother as a birthday present.
I buy my mother a watch as a birthday present. 我买了块手表给我妈妈作为生日礼物。

2. We sometimes go to see Father Christmas . 有时我们去看圣诞老人。

Father Christmas圣诞老人，也可以说Santa Claus。

3. Next , we put some pretty things on the Christmas tree. 紧接着，我们把一些漂亮的物品放在圣诞书上。

We also put our presents under the tree. 我们也把我们的礼物放在树下。

put … on / under…把…放在…上面/下面，例如：
They put the balls under the trees. 他们把球放在树下。

He puts the umbrella behind the door. 他把伞放在门后面。

4. Then, Christmas Eve comes. 然后，平安夜到来了。

6. It looks great! 它看上去好极了！
此句中look是连系动词，意为：看起来，看上去，后跟形容词。

之前我们学过的look是不及物动词，如要后面跟宾语，必须与介词连用，例如：look at, look for, look after…。

例如：
He looks sad. 他看上去很伤心。

You look young. 你看上去很年轻。

Please look at the blackboard. 请看黑板。

What are you looking for? 你在找什么？
7. We always have a lot of fun at Christmas. 我们在圣诞节总是很开心。

People have a big lunch on Christmas Day. 在圣诞节人们吃一顿丰盛的午餐。

at Christmas 和on Christmas Day 通常情况下，节日名前加介词at，但如果节日后有Day，那么前面加介词on。

on Mid-Autumn Day 在中秋节
