教学目标
1.掌握单词:difference,village,yourself,drop,possible,never,future
短语:make a difference,give up,drop out of school,in the future,etc.
2.掌握和运用关于农村孩子的学校生活的句型:
I live in a small village.
I'm in Grade7and I love going to school.
My school is a"hope"school.
Last year,I wanted to give up my studies.
I wanted to stay home and help my family.
With a good education,you can make a difference.
You can make a good life for yourself.
She does not want anyone to drop out of school.
She always helps us in every possible way.
She is making a big difference in our lives.
3.能用本课词汇、短语和句型正确造句,并根据情景正确运用。
4.掌握一般过去时和一般现在时的转换。

教学内容
1.学会运用关于农村孩子的学校生活的词或短语:difference,village,yourself, drop,possible,never,future,make a difference,give up,drop out of school,in the future,etc.
2.学会运用关于农村孩子的学校生活的句型:
I live in a small village.
I'm in Grade7and I love going to school.
My school is a"hope"school.

教学思路
本课时的教学内容是冀教版七年级英语下册第三单元的第三课时,重点在于引导学生了解中国农村孩子的学校生活,从“希望学校,,开始,自然地导入谈论中国的农村孩子的学习生活和老师的无私奉献的话题。
以描述中国的农村孩子的学习生活和实现孩子们的理想作为任务引起学生的兴趣,训练学生的听力和口语表达能力。
利用动作、手势和图片学习英语单词,同时反复运用新学的单词和短语。
因此,教师可以将知识目标定为掌握本课时新出现的词和短语,掌握一般过去时和一般现在时两个时态之间的转换。
情感目标定为通过话题的学习,能用已经学习的词汇,谈论中国的农村孩子的学习生活和老师的无私奉献的精神。
让学生们了解中国农村学校的特色,让国内外的学生们珍惜现在的学习时间和机会,了解与热爱教育事业,愿意为孩子们的教育事业贡献力量。
设计教学PPT,录音机,多媒体,相应的插图,表示一些活动的实物、图片和单词卡片。
教学过程
Step I.Lead in
Leading in【情景1]
Teacher shows some pictures of students?school lives in the countryside in China.Ask the students to talk about the school life in the countryside.
T:Now look at this picture.What are they?
S:They are classroom buildings.
T:What are the students doing?
SI:They are studying in the classroom.
T:Look at this picture.What is the boy doing?
S2:He is thinking.
T:What is he thinking?
S3:Maybe he is thinking about his future.He wants to make a difference.
[设计意图]本课内容和学校生活有关,故以“看图画,回答问题”的形式,让学生们谈论男孩在教室里思索的照片,他在考虑如何通过努力学习知识改变自己和同伴们的命运。
同时引入在之后学习中会使用到的词汇、短语和句型。
Leading in【情景2】
Work in groups.Ask the students to talk about the school life in the countryside in China.
After a few minutes,ask the groups to give a speech in front of the class.
SI:What do you know about the schools in the countryside in China?
S2:Some students don,t go to school.
SI:Yes,you're right.Some students want to help at home.
S2:Do you think who can help them?
SI:The teachers are trying their best to help the children in the countryside.
S2:How do they help the students?
SI:They ask them to go back to school and work hard.
Group1:Many schools have new buildings.The students have new desks and chairs to work hard at school.But some students don't want to go to school.Their parents also think they should help at home.Some students leave school when they are young.The teachers are working hard to take the students back to school and work on.They go to visit the children's families and help them in many ways.Most of them go back to school and have a happy life now.The teachers say the children can make a difference in the future.
[设计意图]根据学生们已经学过的内容,谈论中国农村的教育事业所面临的状况,同学们充分调动学过的知识来描述中国农村的教育事业,有利于同学们珍惜学习机会,为实现远大理想而读书。
Step II.Presentation
1.Teacher should teach the new words and phrases in this part:difference, village,yourself,drop,possible,never,future,make a difference,give up,drop out of school,in the future.Teacher leads the students to learn the new words and phrases.Teacher can use the pictures.
T:Can you see the differences between the two pictures?
S4:Yes,I can.They are-
T:Now read after me"difference".
S:Difference.
T:Where are you from?
S5:I'm from a small village in the countryside.
T:Now read after me"village".
S:Village.
2.Ask the students to work in pairs.Try to make sentences with the new words and expressions.
T:Now let's try to make more sentences with the words and expressions in pairs.
S6:English is too hard.I want to give it up.
S7:Don't worry.Let me help you.
S6:What do you want to do in the future?
S7:I want to be a teacher.
S6:Why?
S7:Because I don't want anyone to drop out of school.
[设计意图]先让学生们学会新的单词和短语,然后用对话的形式让同学们练习它们,有利于同学们充分利用自己的时间来练习,让所有的同学都有兴趣参与课堂活动。
Step III.Listening
1.Listen to the passage and answer the following questions:.

2.Group work:Read and ask and answer questions.
Read the text again,then ask at least3questions.After a while,you can ask anyone in your class to answer your questions.

give up意为“放弃”,后加名词、代词、动名词作宾语。

【拓展】give up是“动词+副词”短语,这类短语用名词作宾语时,名词可用在副词前,也可用在副词后;但用代词作宾语时,代词必须用在副词前。

make a difference意为“起作用,有影响”。

3.She does not want anyone to drop out of school.
♦want sb.to do sth.意为“想要某人做某事”。

♦drop out of school意为"退学,辍学”。

4.She always helps us in every possible way.
♦help sb.with sth.在某方面帮助某人。
I often help my brother with his homework.我经常帮助我弟弟做作业。
♦possible用作形容词,意为“可能的”o as-as possible意为"尽可能....",as... as中间接形容词、副词的原形。

【拓展】possible的反义词是impossible"不可能的”。

5.I want to make a difference in the future—just like my teacher.
in the future意为“在将来”。
I will be a good teacher in the future.
将来我要当一名好老师。
[设计意图]读文章,找出问题的答案,设计这样的阅读题有助于学生理解文章细节。
Step V.Practice
1.Work in pairs.Show different pictures to the students.Ask them to make dialogues with the Simple Past Tense and the Simple Present Tense.
Example:
S8:Do you work hard every day?
S9:Sure.
S8:Do you take part in outdoor activities?
S9:Yes,I do.
S8:What did you do last weekend?
S9:I played basketball with my friends.
S8:Did you have fun?
S9:Sure.Our team won the game at last.
2.Ask the students to read the text in pairs.Choose the best pairs to praise them.
3.Retell the story with the help of the following words and expressions:difference,village,yourself,drop,possible,never,future,make a difference,give up,drop out of school,in the future.

We have finished Exercise1in class in reading part.Ask the students to finish Exercise2and Exercise3by themselves.Teacher checks their answers in class.

在课上在听力部分已经完成了。
Exercise2考查本课的重要短语,Exercise3考查频率副词的用法。

Finish Exercise 4.
Work in pairs.Do you know someone who makes a difference?How does that person make a difference?Talk about it.
Example:

Ask the students to work in pairs.Ask them to describe more e their own languages.
