读《童年》的读书笔记英文,600字
Childhood is a novel by Boris Pasternak that tells the story of a young girl, Lyutikov, living in Moscow in the late nineteenth century. The story is told through the eyes of Lyutikov, who lives an experience-filled childhood of transformation, difficulties, and heartfelt joy.
The novel begins on the day of Lyutikov's birth, when her family resigns from its wide circle of relatives and friends to become part of a more humble lifestyle. Her father is a carefree spirit, who is often uninterested in attending to his family's affairs, while her mother is a hardworking widow who tirelessly takes care of her daughter. With her parents, Lyutikov learns of the elegance and graciousness of life in a city filled with exotic cultures and customs.
Although Lyutikov enjoys her newfound freedom, running around the city with her friends and playing on the rooftops of glamorous mansions, she also has to cope with the harsh reality of poverty and discrimination. One of the first memories Lyutikov has is of the long queues of people at the rationing station, where they all wait for food. Her plight is also portrayed in her encounter with an old Russian gypsy woman, who predicts a future of hardship for the young girl.
The second half of the novel follows Lyutikov as she grows up and faces her own obstacles in life. She strives to protect her friend's secret, deal with the bullies at school and make sure she does not get lost in the crowd. Throughout her journey, Lyutikov discovers her true potential, her strength of character, and a newfound appreciation for the beauty of life.
Childhood is a beautiful portrayal of life, which weaves together the threads of happiness, sorrow, and hope. Its vivid descriptions and poetic narration provide an enthralling insight into a timeless period of Russian culture. Through this novel, Pasternak celebrates the simple joys of childhood, reminding us all to be grateful for the moments we have.。
