But it _48_be undertaken(进行) slowly and carried on only if there are _49_of interest and action in return.
What are some of the _50_of friendship? The greatest is the attraction to expect too much too soon. Deep relationships _51_time. Another “major difficulty" is the selfishness to think one “possesses" the other, including his time and attention. Similarly, friendships _52_ actions in return. In __53_words, you must give as much as you take. Finally there is a question of taking care of. Unless you spend _54_time together, talking on the phone, writing letters, doing things together, friendships will die _55_.

When someone says, “Well, I guess I'll have to face the music”, it doesn't mean that he is planning to go to hear a singer or attend a concert. It is something far less unhappy than you are called in by your leader to explain why you did this and that or why you did not do this or that.
At some time or another, every one of us has to “face the music”, especially as children. We can all remember father’s angry words “I want to talk to you”. And only because we did not listen to him. What a bad thing it was!
In the middle or at the end of every term, we students have to “face the music”. The result of the exam will decide whether we will face the music or not. If...that means parents ‘cold faces and contempt (轻视) of the teachers and classmates.
“To face the music” is well known to ev ery American, young or old. It is at least 100 years old. It really means that you have to do something, no matter (无论) how terrible the whole thing might be, because you know you have no choice.

Plants are very important for living things. Life could not go on if there were no plants. This is because plants can make food from air, water and sunlight. Animals and man cannot make food from air, water and sunlight. Animals get their food by eating plants and other animals. Therefore animals and man need plants in order to live. This is why we find that there are so many plants around us. If you look carefully at the plants around you, you will find that there are two kinds of plants:flowering plants and non-flowering plants. Flowering plants can make seeds. The seeds are protected by the fruits. Some fruits have one seed, some have two, three or four, and some have many seeds. But a few fruits have no seeds at all. An example of a fruit without seeds is the banana fruit. Most non-flowering plants do not grow from seeds. They grow from spores(胚芽). Spores are very small. Some spores are so small and light that they can float in the air. We may say that spores are quite the same as seeds. When these spores are all on wet and shady places, they usually grow into new plants.

The most important holiday in spring, especially for Christians (基督徒),is Easter. This Christian holiday is not on the same date every year, but it’s always on a Sunday. It can be any Sunday between March 22 and April 25. Many people celebrate Easter by buying new clothes. Children celebrate by hunting for colored eggs that their parents have hidden around the house. People also give Easter baskets filled with candy and other goodies to one another to celebrate the day.
But the holiday is more than new clothes and good things to eat. On Easter, many people go to church to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection (复活)from the dead.
Most people color them. Some people hide them. Others just eat them. But no matter what one does with Easter eggs, they are an important Easter tradition throughout the Western world.
People from many different cultures celebrate Easter. In both America and Belgium, children look for Easter eggs hidden on lawns and in bushes. In America, children believe the eggs are hidden by the Easter bunny(复活节兔子). But in Belgium, the hidden eggs are supposed to have fallen from church bells. In Bulgaria, red Easter eggs are lucky in churches;Bulgarian families also hit these Easter eggs together to see whose is the strongest. The winner looks forward to good fortune that year. Should students make friends on line? Some people say yes. The internet helps students make many friends. Chatting on line, students can express their feelings and opinions more freely, and even get help with their foreign language studies. Others, however, think students should not. They say chatting on line is a waste of time, which should be spent more meaningfully on study. What’s worse, some students get cheated on line. So in their opinion, they think it more important to learn to get on well with people around.
As far as I’m concerned, students should pay more attention to their study and never forget safety comes first. As for friendship, we can readily find it in our classmates and other people around us.。
