教材分析
The topic of this module is way of life. Unit 1 introduces how to deal with gifts. It’s a good material for students to search the information themselves before class. Through the topic students will learn some new words, phrases and model verbs.

本模块第一单元呈现了同学们互相送礼物的场景,由此大家展开了对各国风俗习惯的讨论,侧面反映了本模块的主题:不同国家对待同一事件有着不同的处理习惯和处理方式。初到一个国家,了解其文化是一个必不可少的过程。只有充分了解当地的风土人情,才能更好地理解地方文化差异,更好地与他人相处。本模块第二单元就是从这个角度出发,向学生介绍了英国的传统生活习俗,并围绕该重点展开听、说、读、写等训练,进而提高学生对英语的综合运用能力。
教学重点与难点
重点:New words and expressions.
To learn the usage of must, mustn’t, can, can’t.
难点:To grasp the phrases and important sentences.

学情分析
1.从话题上来说,本文介绍风俗习惯的话题,在七年级上春节那一模块有所涉及,学生对于该话题并不陌生,有一定的阅读和写作基础。
2.从语法知识的角度,学生已经在之前的模块中学习到了情态动词的用法。在本模块中,学生将继续学习,有了之前模块的基础,本模块的只是应该不难掌握。
