1) be surprised 后可接: 句子、 at sth、
to do sth 都表示“对……感到惊奇”。

1. There are many people here on vacation.这儿有许多人在度假。

（1）辨析 many与much
many与much都有“许多，大量的”之意，但many后面只能接可数名词复数，much后面接不可数名词。

如：
There are many apples on the table.在桌子上有许多苹果。

She has much money, so she often helps others.她有很多钱，所以她经常帮助别人。

（2）on vacation 在度假辨析vacation与holiday
vacation,holiday可以通用，都是指工作日以外的休息时期，但不包括周末或仅仅一天的休息日。

Holiday多用于英国英语，vacation多用于美国英语。

3.some…others…一些，另一些，表示泛指。

4.surprised 惊奇的,relaxed 放松的。

以-ed形式结尾的形容词，表示人的感觉，主语为人.
surprising令人惊奇的，interesting有趣的，relaxing令人放松的。

以-ing形式结尾的形容词，主语多为物。

如：
It is an interesting book.它是一般一本有趣的书。

He is interested in English.他对英语感兴趣。

5.everyone是不定代词，作主语时其谓语动词用第三人称单数。

6.have a good time “玩儿得高兴，过得愉快”，同义词组有：enjoy oneself, have a nice time, have fun.
7.show的用法：
（1）show作名词，意为“演出，展出，节目”如：
My father likes to watch talk show.
(2) show作动词，意为“给…看，出示，显示”。

常见的词组有show sb. around带领某人参观,show off炫耀,show sth. to sb.给某人看某物。
