Starting college as a freshman was both exciting and nerve-wracking. I remember feeling a mix of emotions as I moved into my dorm room and said goodbye to my family. On one hand, I was thrilled to finally have the independence and freedom that comes with being a college student. On the other hand, I was anxious about making new friends, keeping up with my classes, and adjusting to a new environment.
One of the biggest challenges for me was finding my place in the social scene. I was worried that I wouldn't
fit in or that I wouldn't find people who shared my interests. However, I quickly realized that there were so many different clubs and organizations on campus that I could join. I ended up joining the photography club and the environmental club, and through these groups, I met some of my closest friends.
Academically, the transition to college was also a bit bumpy at first. I found myself struggling to keep up with the fast pace of lectures and the heavy workload of assignments. But with the help of my professors and classmates, I was able to adapt and develop better study habits. I also learned the importance of time management and prioritizing my tasks.
Overall, my first year of college was a rollercoaster of emotions and experiences. I had moments of doubt and homesickness, but I also had moments of pure joy and excitement. Looking back, I can see how much I've grown and matured in just one year. I'm grateful for all the challenges and opportunities that college has brought into my life.
