2. as soon as 一…就…，连接时间状语从句，注意主将从现。

I will tell him the news as soon as he comes back.

3.until 直到
1)连接时间状语从句，注意主将从现。

We won’t leave here until the rain stops.
直到雨停，我们才会离开这儿。

2) 肯定句中表示做某事直到什么时候，动词为延续性动词
I read English until my mother came back last night.
昨晚我读英语一直到我妈妈回来
3) not…until…直到…才…,动词为短暂性动词
I didn’t begin to read English until Mother came back last night.
昨晚直到妈妈回来我才读英语。

4.It’s the first time we have played basketball since Monday.
It’s the first/sec ond time +句子（一般都用现在完成时），表示某人第几次做某事
It’s the third time I have read the story.
5.while 表示“当…时候…，和…同时”，引导时间状语从句，常用进行时
While I was watching TV, the doorbell rang.
Don’t make any noise while the teachers are hav ing a meetig.
What were you doing while your mother was cooking?
6.since 自从…以来
We have learned four units since the beginning of the term.
They have been good friends since they got to know each other.
It’s +一段时间+since…自从…以来到现在已有多久了
It’s five months since he left here. 他离开这儿已有五个月了。
