The famous scientist Albert Einstein died in 1955. His brain is now in the central states. It belongs to a retired medical doctor Thomas Harvey. How did this happen? And why?
The story began in the 1950s. Albert Einstein and Thomas Harvey knew each other when they both lived in the town of Princeton, New Jersey. Einstein was working at Princeton University while Doctor Harvey was working at Princeton Hospital. When Einstein died, Doctor Harvey was called on to examine his body. His goal was to discover some physical evidence (证据) of the scientist’s genius (天才). Doctor Harvey, however, did not tell Einstein’s family that he kept the great man’s brain. It was only later that the family learned of Doctor Harvey’s work. They didn’t like the idea at first. After Doctor Harvey explained his idea to them, they agreed to permit him to study the brain. Doctor Harvey then asked other scientists to help. They cut the brain 3 pieces. They marked each piece before placing it in the container with chemical formaldehyde (甲醇) to protect it. They also prepared several extremely tiny pieces of the brain for study. Only one researcher has found something. A doctor at the University of California found that the left part of Einstein’s brain has more certain cells than normal. Such cells are known to feed brain. She said this may mean that the cells could affect intelligence. Doctor Harvey says h e doesn’t think Einstein would mind the research. After all, Einstein was a scientist.

Life is too short to waste a moment, so while you still have time, let your hair down, remove that “boring〞 tag in your so-called life and start making it worthwhile. Below are some tips that will help you live a wonderful life.
1. Keep a Positive Attitude. Enjoy what you have and work on getting the things you
desire. Psychologists believe that optimism (乐观主义) is a good defense against unhappiness, so it is better to keep your optimism alive. Feeling sad about your life will only make you sadder, so be happy.
2. Don’t Be Afraid to Take Risks. Life is all about taking risks, and that’s the
exciting part of it. Challenges and failure are part of life. Once you learn how to take risks, you’ll soon realize how good i t feels not to let moments pass you by.
3. You only have one life, so make it worthwhile. Being unwilling to let the past go
just keeps you away from the things you should be enjoying at the present.
4. List the Things You Want to Do. Stop lazing around and give yourself something to
be busy with. Write down a list of all the things you want to do and make a timeline, not to stress you out, but to remind you of your goals. So don’t put limits to yourself because you’ll never know what may happen.
5. Try Out Something New. Getting into something or trying something unfamiliar to
you may seem scary, but nothing can make you feel happier than being able to overcome your fear. Who knows? You might enjoy it! The world is a big place and there are still lots of things waiting to be explored by you. Go to a foreign place where you know no one.

I we nt shopping for a dress to wear to my daughter’s high school graduation half
a year ago. To my horror, I could only fit into a size 20.
Being overweight most of my adult life, I always had very little self-confidence. Wearing a dress I didn’t like to such an important event was enough to make me look for help. Thankfully, a friend of mine was attending Weight Watchers meetings, and
I noticed her great progress. Her success inspired me to give it a try. I joined Weight Watchers, attended their meetings and started following their Weight-Loss System.
I focused on the plan with determination and never missed a weekly meeting! I discovered that I enjoyed the benefits (好处) of having the help and support of others.
I also read the weekly online e-newsletter and was inspired by the stories, recipes and information offered there. I also read magazines produced by Weight Watchers, which have great tips and new ideas in each issue.
It’s hard for me to even remember the person I was before my amazing ch ange.
I didn’t walk anywhere and couldn’t wash my car or walk my dog. Today I do these simple tasks without even thinking about them. But the change didn’t happen overnight.
I had to exercise with patience and perseverance (坚持). I decided to take it one day at a time and stick with it for good.
The “new me〞 is more self-confident and healthier. I love how I feel now. I have more energy and feel like I’m 25 again. So why not give Weight Watchers a try if you have the same overweight problems?
