The students often glance at me, hoping to see that
it's almost time to go home. They tap their pencils, fidget in their seats, and occasionally sneak a peek at their phones when they think the teacher isn't looking.
Sometimes, I feel like I am the only one paying attention to the passing of time. The teacher drones on, the students daydream, and I am the only one keeping track of how quickly the minutes are slipping away.
When the bell finally rings, signaling the end of the day, I am the first to celebrate. I chime loudly, announcing to everyone that it's time to pack up and go home.
But as the classroom empties out and the lights are turned off, I am left alone in the silence, counting down the hours until the next school day begins. Tick tock, tick tock, I am always here, keeping watch over the classroom, even when no one else is around.。
