Passage 1题目:阅读下面的短文,然后完成后面的练习题。
In a bid to tackle climate change and reduce pollution, many urban areas are encouraging residents to replace their gas-powered vehicles with electric ones. Electric vehicles (EVs) are seen as a promising solution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which contribute to global warming. Furthermore, EVs offer numerous benefits such as lower fuel costs, quieter operation, and improved air quality. However, despite the advantages, there are still some challenges to widespread EV adoption. The main concern for many potential buyers is the limited driving range of EVs. Compared to traditional internal combustion engines, EVs generally have a shorter range and require more frequent charging. This can cause "range anxiety," a fear of not being able to find charging stations or running out of power on longer trips. To address this concern, cities are developing charging infrastructure by installing more public charging stations and offering incentives for private charging stations at residential properties. Additionally, advancements in battery technology are continually improving the range and charging speed of EVs. Future developments such as wireless charging and swappablebatteries may further alleviate range anxiety and enhance convenience for EV owners. In conclusion, while there are challenges to wide-scale adoption of electric vehicles, cities are taking steps to overcome these obstacles. With the ongoing development of charging infrastructure and advancements in battery technology, the future of electric vehicles looks promising. As individuals and communities work together to combat climate change, EVs provide a sustainable transportation option that can contribute to a cleaner and greener future.

二,例题讲解1,细节题(可以在文中直接找到正确答案)Deep discrimination (歧视)against women creates a firm force that keeps girls from living up to their full potential. It also leaves them victims to severe physical and emotional harm. These “servants of the household" come to accep t that life will never be any different. What's most harmful, it results not only in millions of individual tragedies, but also in the lost potential for the entire country. Studies show there is a direct link between a country's attitude toward women and its social and economic progress. The status of women is central to the health of a society. If one part suffers, so does the whole.82. The most severe result of discrimination against women is ________________________.Nevertheless, the comprehensive change for a society speaks for the more far-reaching meaning of women education. As women get the opportunity to go to school and obtain higher-level jobs, they gain status in their communities, which translates into the power to influence their families and societies. Such power may, together with other forces of outside interference, make even bigger changes possible and gradually lighten up women's fates in these countries.84. High social position at home helps women to have the ability to ________________________.When food from those animals hits the market, the public may yet have its say. FDA officials have said they do not expect to require food from clones to be labeled as such, but they may allow foods from ordinary animals to be labeled as not from clones.84. How will foods from ordinary animals be labeled? In practice, it will be years before foods from clones make their way to store shelves in large quantities, in part because the clones themselves are too valuable to kill or milk. Instead, the expensive animals’replicas(复制品) of some of the finest farm animals ever born — will be used firstly as breeding stock to create what supporters say will be a new generation of superior farm animals.82. Foods from clones won’t be available soon partly because _________________.Studies show that using negative, insulting words — even as you talk to yourself — can darken your mood, as well. Fill your head with positive thoughts, express thanks and encouragement aloud and look for something to be grateful for, not criticize, in those around you, especially loved ones.84. In order not to darken our moods, we’d better stop ________________.2,转换题,包括词性转换和句子转换。

But a new study shows teaching adolescents about the ways food companies fool them into thinking junk food is cool can encourage kids to fight back—by eating healthier. The pull of junk food can be super-strong. It's designed to tasty; which makes eating well one of the great health challenges of our time. Everyone from doctors to the government has been trying to handle it. Yet we keep eating junk food.Professor Christopher Bryan says, "Food companies want you to want junk food." They spend millions of dollars coming up with new ways to^ promote junk food consumption. They hire scientists to make new junk food almost irresistible. They might do this, for example, by adding more sugar. Rats fed junk food for six weeks will even walk across a floor that gives them electric shocks just to get more of such food.Food ads often make unhealthy junk food seem healthy by featuring professional athletes, fit-looking pop stars and smiling, active teens. "We thought when the students learned this, it would matter to them," Bryan says. He worked with 8th graders at a Texas school. Half of them got a lesson Bryan created. It focused on the ways junk food is advertised, or marketed. A second group received lessons that focused on health. These lessons informed students junk food is had, and that foods like apples or carrots are a better choice. The students learned a bad diet can lead to major weight gain, and that being overweight puts people at risk for serious diseases. They also learned how eating well now can keep you healthy when you're older. After the lessons, the kids in both groups were asked how they felt about junk food. Most didn't have positive feelings about these unhealthy foods.(1)Why does the author mention the questions in paragraph 1?A. To express his doubts about junk food.B. 2021年上海卷高考英语阅读题真题解析
2021年上海卷高考英语阅读题真题解析题目一:Passage 1(2021·上海卷A篇)Being angry may actually have some benefits. Recent research suggests that expressing anger can lead to positive outcomes in certain situations. In one study, participants were divided into two groups. Both groups were presented with an unfair situation where they could potentially lose money. The first group was instructed to express their anger towards the unfairness, while the second group was told to remain calm and not show any anger. The results of the study showed that the participants who expressed their anger were more likely to be treated fairly in the future. The researchers believe that this is because when people express their anger, it signals to others that they are not happy with the situation and are willing to stand up for themselves. This can lead to a change in behavior from others, resulting in fairer treatment. However, it's important to note that not all situations can be resolved through anger. In some cases, expressing anger can actually make the situation worse. It's crucial to evaluate the situation and consider whether expressing anger will lead to positive or negative outcomes.Overall, the research suggests that expressing anger can be beneficial in certain situations. It can help individuals assert themselves and ensure fairtreatment. However, it's important to exercise judgment and use anger appropriately in order to achieve favorable results.题目二:Passage 2(2021·上海卷B篇)On April 11, 2021, a massive fire broke out in Notre-Dame de Paris, a historic cathedral. Many consumers are becoming more conscious of the environmental impact of the fashion industry and are seeking out eco-friendly alternatives.Sustainable fashion refers to the production and consumption of clothing in a way that is environmentally friendly and socially responsible. This includes factors such as using organic and recycled materials, reducing waste and pollution, and ensuring fair labor practices. One way that companies are addressing sustainability in fashion is through the use of eco-friendly materials. For example, some brands areusing recycled plastic bottles to create clothing, while others are using organic cotton grown without the use of harmful chemicals. In addition to materials, sustainable fashion also focuses on reducing waste. This can be achieved through initiatives such as clothing recycling programs and the promotion of second-hand clothing. By extending the lifecycle of clothing, the amount of waste generated by the industry can be significantly reduced.Furthermore, sustainable fashion seeks to ensure fair labor practices throughout the supply chain. This means providing safe working conditions, fair wages, and supporting workers' rights. Companies are increasingly transparent about their manufacturing processes and are working towards improving the overall sustainability of the industry. The shift towards sustainable fashion is not only driven by consumer demand but also by the recognition that the current fashion industry is not sustainable in the long term. The production and disposal of clothing contribute to pollution and waste, as well as the exploitation of workers. In conclusion, sustainable fashion is an important movement that addresses the environmental and social impact of the fashion industry. By using eco-friendly materials, reducing waste, and ensuring fair labor practices, companies can work towards a more sustainable future. As consumers, we can also contribute by making conscious choices and supporting brands that prioritize sustainability.。

Each passage is followed by several questions or unfinished statements. For each of them there are four choices marked A, B, C and D. Choose the one that fits best according to the information given in the passage you have just read.(A)Most people agree that honesty is a good thing. But does MotherNature agree? Animals can't talk, but can they lie in other ways? Can theylie with their bodies and behavior? Animal experts may not call it lying, but they do agree that many animals, from birds to chimpanzees, behavedishonestly to fool other animals. Why? Dishonesty often helps themsurvive. Many kinds of birds are very successful at fooling other animals. For example, a bird called the plover sometimes pretends to be hurt in order to protect its young. When a predator(猎食动物)gets close to its nest, the plover leads the predator away from the nest. How? It pretends to have a broken wing. The predator follows the "hurt" adult, leaving the baby birds safe in the nest.Another kind of bird, the scrub jay, buries its food so it always has something to eat. Scrub jays are also thieves. They watch where others bury their food and steal it. But clever scrub jays seem to know when a thief is watching them. So they go back later, unbury the food, and bury it again somewhere else.Birds called cuckoos have found a way to have babies without doing much work. How? They don't make nests. Instead, they get into other birds' nests secretly. Then they lay their eggs and fly away. When the baby birds come out, their adoptive parents feed them.Chimpanzees, or chimps, can also be sneaky. After a fight, the losing chimp will give its hand to the other. When the winning chimp puts out its hand, too, the chimps are friendly again. But an animal expert once saw a losing chimp take the winner's hand and start fighting again.Chimps are sneaky in other ways, too. When chimps find food that they love, such as bananas, it is natural for them to cry out. Then other chimps come running. But some clever chimps learn to cry very softly when they find food. That way, other chimps don't hear them, and they don't need to share their food.As children, many of us learn the saying "You can't fool Mother Nature." But maybe you can't trust her, either.66. A plover protects its young from a predator by______.A. getting closer to its youngB. driving away the adult predatorC. leaving its young in another nestD. pretending to be injured67. By "Chimpanzees, or chimps, can also be sneaky" (paragraph 5), the author means______.A. chimps are ready to attack othersB. chimps are sometimes dishonestC. chimps are jealous of the winnersD. chimps can be selfish too68. Which of the following is true according to the passage?A. Some chimps lower their cry to keep food away from others.B. The losing chimp won the fight by taking the winner's hand.C. Cuckoos fool their adoptive parents by making no nests.D. Some clever scrub jays often steal their food back.69. Which of the following might be the best title of the passage?A. Do animals lie?B. Does Mother Nature fool animals?C. How do animals learn to lie?D. How does honesty help animals survive?文章介绍了动物为了求生,而采取的“欺骗”行为。
