382 IMAGINE that your parents have bought you the most advanced robot. He looks like a real person. He talks to you and plays with you. Hecan even think for himself and figure out what you need.It may feel as if you have a considerate new brother who keeps youcompany all the time. But come to think of it, can you really trust him?Ever since the first robot was created decades ago, scientists have obsessed(迷恋)over the task of making robots more like humans. However, as they have gotten closer to that goal, doubts have grown. According to the BBC, Japanese robot designer Masahiro Mori argues that the more lifelike robots become, the more humans feel a connection to them. But once they become too similar to humans, people begin to feel uncomfortable. This theory is what led to the creation of a brand new robot in Switzerland earlier this month. Roboy, as the new machine is called, has various human-like abilities such as hand-shaking and bicycle-riding, but instead of a skin-like covering, Roboy is wrapped in shiny white armor that clearly indicates its robot status.“As long as people can clearly see that the robot is a machine, even if they project their feelings into it, then they feel comfortable, ”Rolf Pfeifer, the creator of Roboy from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, told the BBC.But the problem that people have with robots is not just with the way they look. It also has to do with the roles that they play in our lives.A survey last year of European Union countries showed that 88 percent of those interviewed agreed that robots are“necessary as they can do jobs that are too hard or dangerous for people”, such as space exploration and war fighting. But when it comes to taking care of children, 60 percent of respondents said that robots should not be allowed to participate, because as robots become more sophisticated(先进的), parents may be tempted to hand over too much responsibility to them.No matter what, robots will soon enter our homes, Pfeifer said. What is not yet clear is whether they will act more like servants who work for us or companions who live with us.1. What is the purpose of the text?A. To introduce the newly-invented robot, Roboy.B. To discuss problems related to designing robots.C. To explore the roles robots will play in our future lives.D. To argue what kinds of robots appeal to people more.2. Why did Pfeifer make Roboy look like a robot?A. To better protect it.B. To make it look cool and modern.C. To distinguish it clearly from a human.D. To keep its price down.3. According to the second-to-last paragraph, most of the people interviewed .A. welcome robots into their homesB. believe robots are useful for certain dangerous tasksC. think families with children s houldn’t use robots for houseworkD. are afraid that children will become less responsible if robots take care of them4. David wasquick at connecting the shape of things to their words. When my son was about four years old, I walked with him to the backyard. I knew that there was an ant colony under one of the slate stones in the walkway near the shed, so I said to David, “Come on. I want to show you something. ”As I showed David the ants that were crawling around the slate stone, he crouched down on his legs and looked with great intensity at the ants. For days after that, David wanted to look under every rock in the garden, and we often found worms, ants and so on. I recognized that David loved to look at things closely and observe how things moved, and so I continued to point things out to him as he grew older: planes, cars, shells etc. . David was a keen observer, and I just gave him the suggestions as to where to look.Today David is a medical doctor at Columbia University Center. I did not know that David would someday be a doctor, someone who has to pay close attention to what he sees, and yet I felt compelled when he was a boy to encourage his enthusiasm for observation. That is what teachers and parents do: encourage a child’s enthusiasm for a particular interest: music, swimming, art, reading. And we provide tools for the children. If a child likes to draw, give him brushes, pens, and paper. If a girl likes to tap on the table top, give hera drum. If a child wants to sing, give him a microphone and a Frank Sinatra recording.5. Clayton kept talking about himself allthrough the entire conversation: he had solved problems no one elsecould; only his views were right; other researchers’work wasinaccurate or unimportant. I could not put in a word. Extremely annoyed, I planned to avoid Clayton in the future. In fact, I decided never to have another conversation with him.A few days later I was in an education class. Our professor explained how one child could become the target of the other students’ ridicule(讥笑).“Usually it’s because the class sees their own weaknesses glaringly magnified(放大)in that student. They don’t want to admit they have the same weakness, so they ridicule and exclude the student. The behavior of both the class and the excluded student is caused by personal insecurity. ”As I took notes, suddenly I thought of Clayton. It struck me that I have many of the same faults. How easily I rule a conversation and leave others out. I, too, sometimes feel that only my opinion is right. My concerns or work easily seems most important. As my professor had described, I reacted negatively to someone in whom I experienced my own weakness.I changed my mind. Shedding (流) some tears c an often make us feel better and help us put things in perspecti ve. But why is crying beneficial? And is there such a thing as a " bad cry"?The researchers analyzed the detailed accounts of more than 3 ,000 recent crying experiences and found that the benefits of cr ying depend entirely on the what, where and when of a particul ar crying episode The majority of persons reported improvements in their mo od following a short period of crying. However, one third reporte d no improvement in mood and a tenth felt worse after crying. C riers who received social support during their crying episode we re the most likely to report improvements in mood.Research to date has not always produced a clear picture of th e benefits of crying, in part because the results often seem to d epend on how crying is studied. The researchers note several c hallenges in accurately studying crying behavior in a laboratory setting. Volunteers who cry in a laboratory setting often do not d escribe their experiences as making them feel better. Rather, cr ying in a laboratory setting often results in the study participants feeling worse; this may be due to the stressful conditions of th e study itself, such as being videotaped or watched by research ers. This may produce negative emotions, which neutralize (使无效) the positive benefits usually connected with crying. However, these laboratory studies have provided interesting fin dings about the physical effects of crying. Criers do show calmi ng effects such as slower breathing, but they also experience a lot of unpleasant stress, including increased heart rate and swe ating. What is interesting is that bodily calming usually lasts lon ger than the unpleasant. The calming effects may occur later an d overcome the stress reaction, which would account for why p eople tend to remember mostly the pleasant side of crying. Research has shown that the effects of crying also depend on who is shedding the tears. For example, individuals with anxiety or mood disorders are least likely to experience the positive eff ects of crying. In addition, the researchers report that people who lack insight into their emotional lives actually feel worse after crying.12. We can infer from the passage that __________________.A. people don't like being seen cryingB. crying in public makes people feel betterC. a bad cry is as common as a good cryD. a good cry can sometimes help us face problems rightly13. The beneficial effects of crying can be shown when _______ __.A. your breath becomes slowB. you sweat a lot.C. your face turns paleD. you are being watched14. 370 Millions of people are using cell phones today. In many places it is actually considered unusual not to use one. In many countries, cell phones are very popular with young people. They find that the phones are more than a means of communication—having a mobile phone shows that they are cool and connected. The explosions around the world in mobile phone use make some health professionals worried. Some doctors are concerned that in the future many people may suffer health problems from the use of mobile phones. In England, there has been a serious debate about this issue. Mobile phone companies are worried about the negative publicity of such ideas. They say that there is no proof that mobile phones are bad for your health. On the other hand, why do some medical studies show changes in the brain cells of some people who use mobile phones? Signs of change in the issues of the brain and head can be detected with modern scanning(扫描)equipment. In one case, a traveling salesman had to retire at a young age because of serious memory loss. He couldn’t remember even simple tasks. He would often forget the name of his own son. This man used to talk on his mobile phone for about six hours a day, every day of his working week, for a couple of years. His family doctor blamed his mobile phone use, but his employer’s doctor didn’t agree. What is it that makes mobile phones potentially harmful? The answer is radiation. High-tech machines can detect very small amounts of radiation from mobile phones. Mobile phone companies agree that there is some radiation, but they say the amount is too small to worry about. As the discussion about their safety continues, it appears that it’s best to use mobile phones less often. Use your regular phone if you want to talk for a long time. Use your mobile phone only when you really need it. Mobile phones can be very useful and convenient, especially in emergencies. In the future, mobile phones may have a warning label that says they are bad for your health. So for now, it’s wise not to use your mobile phone too often.1. The mother was having a major operation and would be lying down for several weeks. Of course, I responded with an immediate“Yes! ”. As I planned the meal in my head, I reflected on how many times over the years I had been asked to prepare food. I have done so countless times with a very open heart. But the truly amazing thing is that I have received double over the course of my life. When my mother passed away, our house was filled with fresh dinners for weeks. A woman from the church of our community stopped by each evening with some food. The gift of food was her small way oftrying to ease our pain.Later in my life, when I was on bed rest during my pregnancy with twins, women of the church again stepped in to help. They arranged babysitting for my two-year-old daughter, and brought lovely dinners to our house. Even when I was put in the hospital, my husband would bring cooked meals to my hospital room. How we relied on these dinners to feed my tired husband and young daughter.Food is all about comfort. It feeds our bodies, but it can also feed our souls. Reducing the amount of garbage we produce in the first place is one of the best ways to save the planet. From Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2012, I saved every piece of my garbage. No, I’m not homeless, and I didn’t lose my mind. Keeping all my trash meant literally living with the impact of my daily decisions, which led me to make dramatic changes in my lifestyle.I should clarify that I saved all my nonbiodegradable(不能生物降解的)trash—things like glass, foam, and plastics, which don’t rot naturally. I set aside banana peels, coffee grounds, eggshells, and other biodegradable waste for composting(制成堆肥). Just as I washed my dishes, I scrubbed my soda cans, potato chip bags, and juice bottles with soap and water and hung them on my dish rack to dry. “Doesn’t your trash stink? ”people often asked. As long as I washed and dried everything, it didn’t smell.I believe that“waste”is actually a resource that can be used rather than discarded. Saving my tra sh allowed me to recycle or“repurpose”it. Rather than throw out my plastic bags, I’ll put them into plastic bottles that can be sued as“bricks”to build bus stops, benches, and even houses. This spring, I was part of a group of students at the University of California, Davis, who used plastic bricks to create a bench for the campus.Though I won’t be saving all my trash again this year, my experience has permanently changed my consumption habits. Every time I go to the grocery store, I bring reusable bags. And I avoid consuming drinks from glass bottles. In short, I’ll never again be able to buy anything without pausing to ask myself: Is this really something I need? Is there a way to get it that involvesless waste? I also hope that all people will see“waste”as just a resource in the wrong place.11. What does the author mainly talk about in Paragraph 3?A. How he cleaned his trash.B. How he dealt with his trash.C. How he stored biodegradable waste at home.D. How he selected his nonbiodegradable trash.12. The underlined word“discarded”in Paragraph 4 means.A. recycledB. valuedC. thrown outD. handed over13. We can learn from the text that the author .A. kept his trash in the garageB. saved garbage for half a yearC. made the best use of his trashD. will continue to save his trash14. According to the last paragraph, the author’s experience.A. gave him much pleasure and joyB. allowed him to save a lot of moneyC. made him show little interest in shoppingD. increased his awareness of the need to reduce waste15. The text is mainly about .A. how garbage ended up polluting the soilB. how trash changes our modern lifestyleC. the author’s experience of saving garbageD. the author’s good consumption hab its【拓展训练】根据C篇文章回答问题。

He published his first song when he was eighteen years old. During the next twenty years he wrote more than five hundred songs. Many of Gershwin’s songs were first written for musical plays performed in theatres in New York City. These plays were a popular form of entertainment in the 1920s and 1930s。

Many of his songs have remained popular as ever. Over the years they have been sung and played in every possible way - from jazz to country。

And so far, we have achieved many successes. But there are still numerous tasks in front of us and we should not stop trying to progress. The international space station (ISS) is an important step we should take in space exploration. It is not only helpful but also essential. It provides a proper space environment for many experiments that we have wanted to do for a long time. It is also a base for the observations of the earth and the universe. It could also be an important base for later travel to the moon and Mars. In a word, if we want to explore space more, the first thing we should do is to set up a space station. As the space station costs a lot of money, it is hard for one country alone to establish one. The USA seems to be the only country that has the ability to build a space station alone, and it has tried to do so, but not very successful. So it aggregated many other countries to work on it together. Though it is still extremely expensive, it is much cheaper than doing it alone. It is really a job that needs everyone’s effort and will benefit everyone.Led by the U.S. and Russia, the ISS is a joint project between six space agencies involving 16 countries. Called the greatest achievement in human cooperation, the ISS has come to the end of a ten-year’s hard work in construction. China has applied for participation in (taking part in) theproject many times. Unfortunately all the applications were rejected, which drove China onto the path of independent development. As the Long MarchⅡ-F/T1carrier rocket blasted off (leave the ground) and successfully carried the Tiangong-1 into space on September 29, 2011,China takes a big step toward its Space Station Era.Some West media suggested that the successful launch of Tiangong-1 would disturb the balance of global space power, raising concerns (关注) about “China threat”. China’s space project is not designed for military (军事的) purpose but for developing space technology to explore space resources and make use of them for mankind’s well-being.45. From Paragraph 2 we learn that ________.A. the necessity of building the international space station is not realized nowB. many experiments have been done in the international space stationC. the international space station is necessary for people to explore space moreD. people have traveled to Mars from the international space station46. Which of the following is NOT a reason for countries’ cooperation in building the internationalspace station?A. That it requires a lot of money.B. T hat it needs everyone’s effo rt.C. That it will benefit every participating country.D. That it is too far away from the earth.47.The underlined word “aggregated” in Paragraph 3 can be replaced by “________”.A. unitedB. scoldedC. allowedD. forbade48. China wants to build its space station in order to __________.A. break the balance of global space powerB. show that China can build space station aloneC. raise international concerns about “China threat”D. make use of space peacefully for mankind’s well-being参考答案44、C 46—58. DAD阅读理解-----C“In only six days I lost seven pounds of weight.”“Two full inches in the first three days!”These are the kinds of statements used in magazine, newspaper, radio and television ads, promising good shapes and new looks to those who buy the medicine or the device. The promoters of products say they can shape the legs, slim the face, smooth wrinkles, or in some other way add to beauty or desirability.Often such products are nothing more than money-making things for their promoters. The results they produce are questionable, and some are dangerous to health. To understand how these products can be legally promoted to the public, it is necessary to understand something of the laws covering their regulation. If the product is a drug, FDA (Food Drug Administration) can require proof under the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act that it is safe and effective before it is put on the market. But if the product is a device, FDA has no authority to require premarketing proof of safety or effectiveness. If a product already on the market is a danger to health, FDA can request the producer or distributor to remove it from the market voluntarily, or it can take legal action, including seizure (查封) of the product. One notable case a few years ago involved an electrical device called the Relaxacisor, which had been sold for reducing the waistline. The Relaxacisor produced electrical shocks to the body through contact pads. FDA took legal action against the distributor to stop the sale of the device on the grounds that was dangerous to health and life.Obviously, most of the devices on the market have never been the subject of court proceedings (法律诉讼), and new devices appear continually, Befor e buying, it is up to the consumer to judge the safety or effectiveness of such items.49. It can be inferred that ads mentioned in the text are_____.A. objectiveB. costlyC. unbelievableD. illegal50. The rise of the so-called “boomerang generation” is revealed in official figures showing that almost one in five graduates in their late 20s now live with their parents.By contrast, only one in eight university graduates had failed to fly the nest by the same age 20 years ago. It also found that grown-up sons are twice as likely as their sisters to still be living with their parents in their late 20s. With nearly a quarter of men approaching 30 still living at ho me, the findings are bound to lead to claims of a “generation of mummy’s boys”.Young professionals in their late 20s or early 30s have been nicknamed the “boomerang generation” because of the trend toward returning to the family home having initially left to study. Recent research has suggested that young people in Britain are twice as likely to choose to live with their parents in their late 20s than their counterparts elsewhere in Europe.Rising property prices, mounting student debts and the effects of recession on the job market have forced a wave of young people to move back into the family home at an age when they would normally be moving out. But commentators warned that the phenomenon may have more to do with young people facing “dire” prospects th an simply a desire to save money. While the proportion of those of university or college age moving out from the family home has continued to rise in the last 20 years, among those in their mid and late 20s the trend has been reversed. Overall 1.7 million people aged from 22 to 29 now share a roof with their parents, including more than 760,000 in their late 20s. In 1988, 22.7 per cent of men aged 25 to 29 were still living with their parents but last year the proportion was 24.5 per cent.49. What is the main idea of the passage?A. The economic crisis has shown its effect on the young generation.B. More young professionals are returning home to live.C. British parents are suffering more loads from their grown-up children.D. Britain is suffering more than any other country in Europe.50. Which of the following statements is TRUE?A. Male children seem to more independent than females.B. Eighty percent of university graduates were able to liveindependently two decades ago.C. The grown-up children choose to live with their parents only to savemoney.D. More and more children are moving out at university age.51. What does the underlined word “dire” probably mean?A. promising.B. inconvenient.C. very bad.D. hopeful52. The following factors may account for the phenomenon except _____.A. that living prices have risen a lot.B. that it’s difficult to land a job.C. that education has already cost them a lotD. that parents can help them more参考答案49-52 BDCDAs thousands of communities in the USA — especially in the South —became booming gateways for immigrant families from Central and South America during the 1990s and the early years of the new century, public schools struggled with the unfamiliar task of serving the large numbers of English learners arriving in their classrooms.Education programs needed to be built from scratch. “We had no teaching resources suitable for English learners here before. We had to develop them all ourselves,” a Texas principal said. Throughout the country, districts had to train their own teachers to teach English to non-native speakers or recruit teachers from elsewhere. School staff members had to figure out how to communicate with parents who spoke no English. But even as immigration has slowed or stopped in many places, and instructional programs for English-learners have matured, serving immigrant families and their children remains a work in progress in many public schools, especially those in communities that are skeptical, or sometimes unwelcoming, to the newcomers. One of the biggest challenges educators face, is communicating effectively with parents who d on’t speak English — an issue that, in part, has contributed to recent complaints of discrimination by Latino students in some cities.“The parents’ role is very important for the success of these students, but it's also one of the most difficult thing s we’ve had to tackle,” said Jim D. Rollins, the president of the Springdale school district, where the 19,000-student school system has gone from having no English-learners 15 years ago to more than 7,500 now. “You have to make it a priority and work on i t, work on it, and work on it.”Aside from the practical challenges, such as finding bilingual (会说两种语言的) staff members, guiding districts through such dramatic changes requires school leaders to bridge difficult political and cultural divides. For school leaders in the South, especially in the last few years, this difficult job has been made harder still by the negative attitudes of some locals towards immigrants.36. According to the passage, what is the problem that public schools are facing?A. Handling more cases from the immigrant Mexican communities.B. Offering services to immigrant families in the southern states.C. Offering enough communicative lessons to immigrant parents.D. Providing education for non-native English learners.【答案】D【解析】细节理解题。

Written accounts from the 18th and 19th centuries described flocks(群)so large that they darkened the sky for hours. It was calculated that when its population reach its highest point, there were more than 3 billion passenger pigeons – a number equal to 24 to 40 percent of the total bird population in the United States, making it perhaps the most abundant birds in the world. Even as late as 1870 when their numbers had already become smaller, a flock believed to be 1 mile wide and 320 miles (about 515 kilometers) long was seen near Cincinnati.Sadly, the abundance of passenger pigeons may have been their undoing. Where the birds were abundant, people believed there was an ever-lasting supply and killed them by the thousands. Commercial hunters attracted them to small clearings with grain, waited until pigeons had settled to feed, then threw large nets over them, taking hundreds at a time. The birds were shipped to large cities and sold in restaurants.By the closing decades of the 19th century, the hardwood forests where passenger pigeons nested had been damaged by Americans’ need for wood, which scattered(驱散)the flocks and forced the birds to go farther north, where cold temperatures and spring storms contributed to their decline. Soon the great flocks were gone, never to be seen again. In 1897, the state of Michigan passed a law prohibiting the killing of passenger pigeons, but by then, no sizable flocks had been seen in the state for 10 years. The last confirmed wild pigeon in the United States was shot by a boy in Pike County, Ohio, in 1900. For a time, a few birds survived under human care. The last of them, known affectionately as Martha, died at the Cincinnati Zoological Garden in September 1, 1914.24. In the 18th and early 19th centuries, passenger pigeons .A. were the biggest bird in the worldB. lived mainly in the south of AmericaC. did great harm to the natural environmentD. were the largest bird population in the US25. The underlined word “undoing” probably refers to the pigeons’ .A. escapeB. ruinC. liberationD. evolution26. What was the main reason for people to kill passenger pigeons? A. To seek pleasureB. To save other birdsC. To make moneyD. To protect crops27. What can we infer about the law passed in Michigan? A. It was ignored by the publicB. It was declared too lateC. It was unfairD. It was strictCA typical lion tamer(驯兽师)in people’s mind is an entertainer holding a whip (鞭)and a chair. The whip gets all of the attention, but it’s mostly for show. In reality, it’s the chair that does the important work. When a lion tamer holds a chair in front of the lion’s face, the lion tries to focus on all four legs of the chair at the same time. With its focus divided, the lion becomes confused and is unsure about what to do next. When faced with so many options, the lion chooses to freeze and wait instead of attacking the man holding the chair. How often do you find yourself in the same position as the lion? How often do you have something you want to achieve(e.g. lose weight, start a business, travel more)--- only to end up confused by all of the options in front of you and never make progress? This upsets me to no end because while all the experts are busy debating about which option is best, the people who want to improve their lives are left confused by all of the conflicting information. The end result is that we feel like we can’t focus or that we’re focused on the wrong things, and so we take less action, make lessprogress, and stay the same when we could be improving. It doesn’t have to be that way. Anytime you find the world waving a chair in your face, remember this: All you need to do is focus on one thing. You just need to get started. Starting before you feel ready is one of the habits of successful people. If you have somewhere you want to go, something you want to accomplish, someone you want to become … take immediate action. If you’re clear about where you want to go, the rest of the world will either help you get there or get out of the way.28. Why does the lion tamer use a chair? A. To show off his skills.B. To trick the lion.C. To get ready for a fight.D. To entertain the audience.29. In what sense are people similar to a lion facing a chair? A. They feel puzzled over choices.B. They hold on to the wrong things.C. They find it hard to make changed.D. They have to do something for show.30. What is the author’s attitude towards the experts mentioned in Paragraph 3?

第3题又是一道细节题,答案从以下文字中可找到“According to US government repo rts , emissions(排放)from cars and trucks have dropped from 10.3 million tons a year to 5.5 tons. The number of cities producing CO beyond the standard has been reduced from 40 to 9.Although serious problems still remain and need to be dealt with , the world is a safer and healthier place.A kind of “Green thinking ” has become part of practices.”

2014高考英语阅读理解抓分训练精品(30)及答案阅读理解-———EI promised Michael I wouldn’t mention this until the season was over. Now l think it's time.Early last season, I wrote a column about an art of kindness I had seen Jordan do to a disabled child outside the stadium. After it ran,I got a call from a marl in the western suburbs. He said,“I read what you wrote about Jordan.but I thought I should tell you another thing I saw.”Here it comes,I thought。

It always does. Write something nice about a person, and people call you up to say that the person is not so nice。

A few weeks later Jordan and I were talking about something else before a game, and I brought up what the man had said。

Was the man right?Had Jordan really been talking to those two boys in that poor and dirty .neighborhood?”Not two boys,” Jordan said。

”But four。

"And he named them. He said four names. And what did they talk about?"Everything," Jordan said。

2014高考英语阅读理解评估检测(30)C2[2013·江西卷]The light from the campfire brightened the darkness, but it could not prevent the damp cold of Dennis's Swamp (沼泽地) creeping into their bones. It was a strange place. Martin and Tom wished that they had not accepted Jack's dare. They liked camping, but not near this swamp.“So,” Martin asked as they sat watching the hot coals. “How did this place get its name? ”“Are you sure you want to hear it? It's a scary story,” warned Jack.“Of course!” cried out Tom. “If there wer e anything to be scared of, you wouldn't have chosen this place!”“OK, but don't say I didn't warn you,” said Jack, and he began his tale.“Way back in time, a man called Dennis tried to start a farm here. He built that cottage over there to live in. In those days, the area looked quite different—it was covered with tall trees and the swamp was a crystal-clear river. After three hard years, Dennis had cleared several fields and planted crops. He was so proud of his success that he refused to listen to advic e.”“‘You are clearing too much land’,warned one old man. ‘The land is a living thing. It will hit back at you if you abuse it.’‘Silly fool’,said Dennis to himself. ‘If I clear more land, I can grow more crops. I'll become wealthier. He's just jealous!’”“Dennis continued to chop down trees. Small animals that relied on them for food and shelter were destroyed. He was so eager to expand his farm that he did not notice the river flowing slowly towards his door. He did not notice salt seeping to the surface of the land. He did not notice swamp plants choking all the native plants.”“What happened? ” Martin asked. It was growing colder. He trembled, twisting his body closer to the fire.“The land hit back—just as the old man warned, ” Jack shrugged. “Den nis disappeared. Old folks around here believe that swamp plants moved up from the river and dragged him underwater. His body was never found.”“What a stupid story, ” laughed Tom. “Plants can't…” Before he had finished speaking, he screamed and fainted(晕倒). The other two boys jumped up with fright, staring at Tom. Suddenly, they burst out laughing. Some green swamp ivy (常春藤) had covered Tom's face. 56.

由第八段“If I clear more land, I can grow more crops. I'll become wealthier. He's just jealous!”

由最后一段倒数第二句“Some green swamp ivy (常春藤) had covered Tom's face.”
