About this Manual
This User Guide describes how to use the Jennic JN51xx Flash Programmer
application for loading binary code into the Flash memory of a Jennic board, module
or dongle based on the JN51xx wireless microcontroller.
Organisation
This manual consists of four chapters and three appendices, as follows:
• Chapter 1 introduces the JN51xx Flash Programmer application.
• Chapter 2 describes how to use the GUI version of the Flash Programmer.
• Chapter 3 describes how to use the CLI version of the Flash Programmer.
• Chapter 4 outlines a two-stage process for downloading binary code to Flash memory devices not directly supported by the JN51xx Flash Programmer.
• The appendices provide procedures for connecting a PC to a Jennic board and procedures for downloading binary code when using a USB dongle.
Conventions
Files, folders, functions and parameter types are represented in bold type.
Function parameters are represented in italics type.
