人教版英语七年级下册1-6单元综合性作文
人教版英语七年级下册1-6单元综合性作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My School LifeHi there! My name is Li Ming and I'm a 7th grade student at Sunshine Middle School here in Beijing. Things have been pretty exciting this year with lots of new experiences, so I thought I'd share a bit about my school life.To start with, I have a bunch of different classes throughout the week. My favorite is definitely English class because I love learning about other cultures and being able to communicate in a foreign language. Our English textbook has been really interesting so far this semester. In Unit 1, we learned about festivals and celebrations from around the world like Thanksgiving in the United States and Diwali in India. It was fun finding out how people in other countries celebrate special days. I remember writing about Chinese Spring Festival and the different traditions my family follows like eating dumplings and watching the Spring Festival Gala on TV.Unit 2 was about sharing experiences and personal stories. We had to interview our parents or grandparents about what life was like when they were young. My grandpa grew up in a small village and told me all about having to fetch water from the well and helping out on the farm as a kid. It's crazy how much things have changed in just a couple of generations! For the unit project, I worked with some classmates to put together a video sharing our interviews. Then in Unit 3, we moved on to the topic of animals and wildlife conservation. Did you know that there are less than 2,000 giant pandas left in the wild? We learned about the threats they face from habitat loss and how organizations are working hard to protect endangered species. As part of a group project, we designed a poster campaign to raise awareness about wildlife protection. One of the highlights of the semester was definitely Unit 4 on sports and fitness. We had so much fun learning about different sports like basketball, soccer, gymnastics and more from around the globe. I've been trying to get more active and stay healthy, so the unit motivated me to join the school's ping pong team. My coaches have been really encouraging and it's been awesome making new friends who share my interests. Most recently in Unit 5, we studied the topic of jobs and careers. I have to admit, thinking about potential future careers kind of stresses me out a bit! There are just so many interesting options to consider. We did some self-assessment activities to identify our strengths and interests which was helpful. I could maybe see myself doing something related to technology or engineering down the road, but who knows? I've got plenty of time to figure it out still. The current unit we're working on is Unit 6 covering travel and transportation. It's been really cool learning about different modes of transportation used globally, as well as hearing my classmates' travel experiences and seeing photos/videos from their trips. Personally, I haven't had the chance to travel overseas yet, but I'd love to someday. Maybe I could be a pilot or flight attendant? For our unit project, my group is researching and putting together a multi-media travel guide for a country of our choice.Outside of our academic classes, there are lots of other awesome activities to get involved with at school too. I'm part of the Student Council, which has given me great leadership experience through organizing events like holiday celebrationsand charity drives. We also have a ton of interest clubs to join based on hobbies like music, art, robotics, and more. While 7th grade has kept me quite busy with classes, homework, extracurriculars and everything else, I've still had an amazing experience so far. Middle school is a blast (most of the time at least)! I'm making incredible memories and growing as an individual. Can't wait to see what the next couple of years have in store.Well, that's a little snapshot into my daily life as a 7th grade student here in Beijing. Thanks for reading and I'll catch you next time!篇2My Life as a 7th GraderHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 7th grade student here in China. A lot has happened this school year already and I wanted to tell you all about my experiences so far.At the start of the year in September, I was feeling a mix of emotions - excited to see my friends again after the summer break, but also a bit nervous about being in 7th grade and having lots of new subjects and responsibilities. My parents triedto encourage me though, telling me that I was growing up to become a "big girl" now. I didn't feel that big to be honest! My first few weeks were spent just getting used to the new routine and classes. I love learning English and that has continued to be one of my favorite subjects this year. In Unit 1 we learned about some different festivals celebrated around the world like Thanksgiving and Halloween. It was really interesting to compare the customs and traditions to the festivals we celebrate here in China. I remember writing a report on the Mexican Day of the Dead festival - I found the decorated skull masks they use quite spooky at first but then I understood it was meant to be a joyful celebration of life.In Unit 2 we studied about different jobs that people do. I've always dreamed of being a scientist when I grow up, so I was really fascinated to learn about some of the careers in fields like biology, chemistry and environmental science. I wrote a career profile on a marine biologist who studies and protects ocean life. It sounds like such an adventurous job! Getting to scuba dive and explore the oceans would be amazing. I still have a lot of time to decide what career path to take, but learning about the different options has helped give me some ideas. One of the units I struggled with most was Unit 3 on travel and transportation. There was just so much new vocabulary to memorize - different types of vehicles, describing locations and giving directions. I worked really hard though and my English grades have been pretty good. My parents were very proud when I got an A on my unit test! The topic of travel also inspired me to convince my parents to plan a family trip during the winter break. We ended up going to Beijing to see all the famous sights like the Forbidden City, Summer Palace and of course the Great Wall. It was tiring with all the walking but so much fun to experience a new city together.Unit 4 was about hobbies and recreational activities. My biggest hobby is definitely reading - I'm a total bookworm! I love getting lost in the world of fiction novels. This unit gave me a chance to share my passion for reading with my classmates and teachers. I did an oral presentation all about my favorite book series, Harry Potter. I brought in some of the books from home and talked about the plots and characters. I was nervous speaking in front of everyone at first, but then I remembered how well I knew the material since it's something I love. The presentation went really well!More recently in Unit 5, we studied environmental protection which is such an important topic in today's world. We learned about things like renewable energy, recycling, and reducing pollution and waste. My class got into some great discussions about how we can all do our part, even as students. We decided to start a "green club" at school to look for ways we can make our campus more environmentally friendly. Some of the ideas we've come up with so far are setting up recycling bins, organizing trash clean-ups, and taking public transportation instead of getting rides from parents when possible. I'm really excited to get this new club off the ground! The current unit we're working on is Unit 6 covering science and technology. I find this subject area fascinating as the world seems to be evolving so quickly with new inventions and innovations every day. We've learned about things like biotechnology, artificial intelligence, renewable energy sources and more. For our unit project, my group is researching and giving a presentation on the future of environmentally-friendly transportation like electric and solar-powered vehicles. We want to show how technology can help create a more sustainable society. I can't wait to start digging into the topic more!Phew, I've certainly covered a lot of ground this year so far in only 7th grade! There's still about 3 more months left in the school year too. I know I'll keep working hard and doing my best. While there are challenges, I genuinely enjoy learning new things every day across my different classes. My teachers have been great at making the content interesting and relevant to our lives.I'm also trying to have fun and live a balanced life outside of academics. I still make time to hang out with my friends, read for pleasure, and exercise by playing badminton a couple times a week. Oh, and I can't forget about my favorite hobby - playing video games! I have to be careful not to play too much though or else my parents will cut off my game time.Looking ahead, I'm starting to feel a little worried about eventually having to take that big test at the end of 9th grade, the high school entrance exam. I know it's still a couple years away but the pressure is already building! My parents have high expectations for me to get into one of the top high schools. I'll just have to stay focused and keep working hard. For now though, I'm trying my best to enjoy being a 7th grader - that perfect balanced age of not being too young but also not yet a jaded teenager! These really are the fun, carefree years. While there's homework and tests, I don't have manyserious responsibilities weighing me down. I can be a kid but I'm also becoming more independent and discovering my true interests and identity.I feel very fortunate to be getting such a well-rounded education, especially with the emphasis on English language learning. Being bilingual will open up so many opportunities for me in the future. I don't know exactly what I want to do for a career yet, but I'm keeping an open mind and exploring many possibilities. Who knows, maybe I'll end up as a scientist, author, environmental activist or video game designer! The world is wide open for me right now. Thanks for letting me share a little glimpse into my life as a 7th grade student here in China. It's a bit of a crazy roller coaster sometimes, juggling classes, activities, friends and growing up. But I'm enjoying the ride and making the most of this special time. I'll check back in with you all again next year to report on my 8th grade adventures! Until then, happy studying everyone!篇3My School LifeHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a seventh grader at Greenwood Middle School. Let me tell you all about my life as a student. To start with, I have a pretty typical daily routine. I wake up around 6:30 every morning after my mom calls me. I brush my teeth, wash my face, get dressed and have breakfast - usually some cereal, eggs, or toast with jam. Then I pack up my school bag with all my books, notebooks, pencil case and lunch box before heading out the door. The school day begins at 8am sharp. My first class is usually math or science. I really like science, especially learning about animals and the environment. My favorite animals are pandas - they're just so cute and cuddly! In science class, we get to do lots of fun experiments like making a volcano erupt with baking soda and vinegar. Math is okay but can be kind of boring sometimes with all the calculations. After those classes, we have a short break to run around outside in the playground and play games like tag or hopscotch with our friends. That's when I can snack on some crackers, a granola bar or fruit from my lunchbox. Getting some fresh air and exercise helps me re-energize for the rest of the morning. Then it's time for Chinese and English classes. In Chinese, we're reading some ancient fables and poems right now. Some of them are pretty confusing with all the proverbs and symbolism, but our teacher is really good at explaining them to us. English is probably my favorite subject - I find it super cool to learn a whole new language! We get to practice dialogues, read stories, learn new vocabulary and grammar structures. I'm getting better at listening, speaking, reading and writing in English.Around 12pm, we break for a longer lunch period. In the cafeteria, my friends and I can choose from all kinds of dishes - noodles, fried rice, dumplings, steamed vegetables. My absolute favorite is kung pao chicken though! After eating, there's more time to run around outside or just hang out and chat. The afternoon classes are a mix of subjects like history, geography, art, music and PE. In history, we're studying ancient China and learning about dynasties, emperors, philosophies and traditions. It's all really fascinating stuff! For geography, we get to look at maps and learn about different countries, cultures and landforms around the world. Art class allows us to get creative by painting, drawing, sculpting with clay and more. I just lovegetting my hands messy with all the paints, pastels and art supplies!Music is great too because we can sing songs, play instruments like the recorder or hand bells, and even put on little performances. Getting some exercise in PE is always fun whether we're running, playing basketball or doing aerobics and stretches. Sometimes we even go on hikes in the park nearby. Finally, the school day ends at 3:30pm. Some days I have extra-curricular activities like joining the art club to work on projects, taking Chinese yo-yo lessons, or practicing for the school play. Other times, I just head home, have a snack, and start on my homework. I have to review what we learned, complete worksheets and assignments, and practice things like multiplication tables or vocabulary words. It can get kind of tedious but I know it's important. In the evenings, we'll have dinner as a family - my mom is such an amazing cook! Her dumplings, wontons and noodle soups are the best. After that, I like to unwind by reading books, playing outside, or watching some TV shows and movies. Before bedtime, I get ready for the next day by laying out my school uniform, packing my bag again, and getting a good night's sleep. That's a typical day and week in my life! Going to school keeps me busy but I'm always learning such cool, new and interesting things. I have lots of fun with my teachers and classmates too. While homework can be a drag sometimes, I know it's helping me become smarter and more prepared for the future. Overall, I really love being a student! Let me know if you have any other questions about school life.篇4My Life as a 7th GraderHi there! My name is Li Ming and I'm a 7th grade student at Sunshine Middle School. I want to tell you all about my life and what I've been learning this year in my English class. It's been a wild ride so far!My Interests and Hobbies (Unit 1)First off, let me tell you about some of my favorite hobbies and interests. I'm a huge sports fan, especially basketball and soccer. I play pickup games with my friends almost every day after school. We've even formed our own little team and made t-shirts! I also really enjoy reading fiction novels and comic books in my free time. I know you might think that life as a12-year-old isn't all that exciting, but trust me, there's never a dull moment! Let me take you on a journey through my daily routine and some of the most memorable moments from this school year.First off, let's talk about my morning routine. Like most kids my age, waking up for school is a real struggle. My mom has to practically drag me out of bed every morning. But once I'm up and dressed, I head to the kitchen for a hearty breakfast. My favorite is pancakes with maple syrup – it gives me the energy I need to tackle the day ahead. After breakfast, it's time to grab my backpack and head to school. I live quite close, so I usually walk or ride my bike. On the way, I always stop to chat with my best friend, Emily. We've been inseparable since kindergarten, and we love to gossip about the latest happenings in our class.Once I arrive at school, the real fun begins! My first class is usually English, and I have to admit, it's one of my favorites. Our teacher, Ms. Wilson, is so awesome and makes learning the language really enjoyable. We've been studying all sorts of topics this year, from daily routines to hobbies and interests. One of the highlights was when we learned about different festivals and celebrations around the world. We even got to do a project where we researched a particular festival and presented it to the class. I chose to learn about the Chinese New Year, and I had so much fun making a traditional paper lantern and learning about the customs and traditions. After English, we usually have math class. Now, I know what you're thinking – math can be pretty boring. But our teacher, Mr. Thompson, has a way of making even the most complex equations seem fun and engaging. We've been learning about fractions, decimals, and percentages this year, and I have to say, I'm starting to get the hang of it.One of my favorite math lessons was when we learned about money and budgeting. Mr. Thompson gave us a hypothetical budget, and we had to figure out how to allocate our money for different expenses like rent, food, and entertainment. It was a real eye-opener for me, and I gained a newfound appreciation for the importance of managing money wisely. After recess, we usually have science or social studies class. Science has been particularly fascinating this year, as we've been learning about the human body and how it works. We even got to do a dissection on a frog, which was equal parts cool and gross! In social studies, we've been studying different cultures and civilizations around the world. One of the most interesting units was when we learned about ancient Egypt. We got to make our own hieroglyphics, buil篇6My Life as a Primary School StudentHi there! My name is Emma, and I'm a 12-year-old student in the final year of primary school. I thought I'd share with you what my life is like as a primary school student, covering some of the topics and experiences from my English textbook this year.Unit 1: My Favorite SubjectOne of my favorite subjects in school is English. I find it fascinating to learn a new language and explore different cultures. In our first unit, we talked about school subjects and the importance of education. I remember learning how to express likes and dislikes, such as "I like math, but I don't like history." My favorite part was when we had to introduce our favorite subjects to the class. I spoke about my love for English and how it opens up a world of possibilities.Unit 2: My DayIn the second unit, we learned about daily routines and schedules. It was interesting to compare my day with that of students from other countries. For me, a typical day starts with waking up around 7 AM and getting ready for school. After having breakfast, I take the bus to school, which usually takes about 20 minutes. Classes start at 8:30 AM, and we have different subjects throughout the day, with short breaks in between. My favorite part of the day is lunchtime when I get to hang out with my friends in the cafeteria or on the playground. After school, I often have extracurricular activities like music lessons or sports practice. Then, it's back home for dinner, homework, and some free time before bed.Unit 3: My WeekendWeekends are a much-needed break from the busy school week. In this unit, we learned how to talk about weekend activities and plans. My weekends are usually a mix of relaxation and fun. On Saturdays, I sometimes sleep in a little later, catch up on my favorite TV shows or movies, and hang out with friends. We might go to the park, play sports, or visit the mall. Sundays are often family days, where we might go for a hike, visit relatives, or have a big family dinner. One of my favorite weekend activities is reading books or comics – it's a great way to unwind and let my imagination run wild.Unit 4: My HometownIn Unit 4, we explored different types of communities and talked about our hometowns. I live in a small town called Oakville, which is about an hour's drive from the city. It's a charming place with tree-lined streets, plenty of parks, and a lovely town center with shops and restaurants. One of my favorite things about Oakville is the annual summer festival, where there are carnival rides, live music, and delicious food stalls. I also love spending time at the local library, which has a great selection of books and a cozy reading area.Unit 5: My VacationWho doesn't love talking about vacations? In this unit, we learned how to describe different vacation destinations and activities. Last summer, my family went on a road trip to the Grand Canyon. It was an incredible experience! We drove for two days, stopping at interesting places along the way, like quirky roadside attractions and historic towns. When we finally reached the Grand Canyon, the breathtaking views took my breath away. We went hiking along the rim trails, took a scenic helicopter tour, and even went white-water rafting on the Colorado River. It was an adventure I'll never forget!Unit 6: My FutureThe final unit of our textbook focused on aspirations and future plans. As a 12-year-old, I'm still exploring different interests and possibilities for my future career. Sometimes, I think about becoming a writer or a journalist because I love storytelling and exploring new。

I've been learning English since the 1st grade, and I absolutely love it! In this essay, I'll share with you some of my experiences and thoughts about learning English in school.Unit 1: My DayLet me start by telling you about a typical day in my life. I wake up around 7 a.m. every morning, have breakfast with my family, and then get ready for school. My school starts at 8:30 a.m., so I usually leave home around 8:00 a.m. to make sure I'm not late.Once I arrive at school, I go to my classroom and greet my classmates and teacher. Our first class is usually English, which is my favorite! We start with a warm-up activity, like a fun game ora short conversation practice. Then, our teacher introduces the new lesson and explains the grammar points and vocabulary. We do a lot of interactive activities in our English class, like role-playing dialogues, singing songs, or playing language games. I really enjoy these activities because they make learning English fun and engaging. After our English class, we have other subjects like math, science, and Chinese.During the lunch break, my friends and I usually play games or chat in the playground. After lunch, we have more classes until the end of the school day at around 4:00 p.m. When I get home, I do my homework, have dinner with my family, and then have some free time to read, watch TV, or play games.Unit 2: My HobbiesOne of my favorite hobbies is reading. I love getting lost in the world of books, and I especially enjoy reading English storybooks. They not only help me improve my English skills but also transport me to different places and times through their captivating stories.Another hobby of mine is playing badminton. I joined the school badminton club last year, and I really enjoy practicing andparticipating in tournaments. It's a great way to stay active and make new friends who share the same interests. In my free time, I also like to draw and paint. I find it relaxing and a great way to express my creativity. Sometimes, I even combine my love for art and English by drawing illustrations for English stories or poems.Unit 3: My FamilyI come from a loving and supportive family. My parents have always encouraged me to study hard and pursue my interests. They help me with my homework and attend school events whenever they can.My younger brother, Tom, is in the 4th grade, and we sometimes study together or play games. They love hearing about my school life and the things I'm learning, especially when I share interesting English phrases or stories with them.Unit 4: My CommunityI live in a friendly and vibrant neighborhood. There's a park nearby where my friends and I often go to play or have picnics. We sometimes practice our English by having conversations or playing language games while enjoying the outdoors. Our community also has a library, which is one of my favorite places. I love browsing through the shelves and discovering new English books to read. The librarians are always happy to recommend good books and help me with any questions I have.During the summer holidays, our community center organizes various activities and camps for children, including English camps. Last summer, I attended an English drama camp where we learned about acting, improvisation, and putting on a short play entirely in English. It was a fantastic experience that helped me gain confidence in using English in a fun and creative way.Well, that's a glimpse into my school life and my journey of learning English. I hope you found it interesting and enjoyable to read. Learning a new language can be challenging, but with dedication, practice, and a positive attitude, it can also be an incredibly rewarding and enriching experience. I'm excited to continue exploring the world of English and all the opportunities it opens up for me.篇2My Summer Holiday AdventuresHi there! I'm Lily, a 12-year-old student who just finished Grade 7. I had an awesome summer holiday filled with lots of fun and exciting experiences. Let me tell you all about it!Unit 1: A Letter to KatyIt all started when my friend Katy went on a trip to Australia with her family. We've been best friends since kindergarten, so I was really sad to see her go. To cheer myself up, I decided to write her a letter telling her about my summer plans. In the letter, I mentioned that my family was going to visit my grandparents in the countryside. I was looking forward to playing in the fields, catching bugs, and swimming in the lake. I also told Katy that I was going to read lots of books and practice my English during the holidays.A few weeks later, I got a reply from Katy. She said she was having a great time in Australia! She had seen kangaroos, koalas, and even gone surfing. Katy also wrote that she had made some new friends and they were teaching her Australian English slang words like "g'day" and "mate."Unit 2: Making DumplingsOne of my favorite summer activities was making dumplings with my grandma. She taught me the traditional way of mixing the dough, rolling it out, and carefully folding the delicious fillings inside.I remember the first few dumplings I made were a bit messy and lopsided. But with grandma's patient guidance, I soon got the hang of it. By the end of the day, we had made over a hundred perfect little dumplings! After boiling them, we sat down to enjoy our hard work. The dumplings were so tasty and satisfying. Grandma said she was proud of how quickly I had learned. I felt really happy and accomplished.Unit 3: A Dreamy JourneyYou'll never believe the crazy dream I had one night! In my dream, I was a brave explorer journeying through a dense, tropical rainforest. Colorful parrots soared overhead and exotic flowers bloomed all around me.Suddenly, I stumbled upon an ancient temple hidden among the trees. I curiously wandered inside, marveling at the intricatestone carvings. That's when I met a wise, old monkey who could speak English! The monkey told me I had to complete three challenges to find the legendary Emerald of Eternity. For the first task, I had to navigate a maze filled with tricky riddles. Next, I crossed a raging river by swinging on vines like Tarzan. Finally, I defeated an evil snake sorcerer in an epic battle of wits. After all my hard work, the monkey rewarded me with the Emerald of Eternity. I woke up feeling like a real-life adventurer!Unit 4: The School Talent ShowA few days before going back to school, our town held its annual children's talent show. I was really excited because I had been practicing my magic tricks all summer. When it was my turn to perform, I pulled a bunny out of my hat to start the show. The audience went wild with cheers and applause! I then did some cool card tricks and even made a silk scarf disappear into thin air.For my final trick, I attempted to saw my friend Jerry in half using a mysterious old box. Don't worry, it was just an illusion! But it sure looked realistic. When Jerry emerged unharmed, everyone gasped in amazement. The judges must have been impressed because I ended up winning first prize - a big gold trophy! I was overjoyed and felt like a superstar magician. It was the perfect way to wrap up my summer before heading back to school.Well, those were some of the most memorable moments from my action-packed summer holiday. I had such an incredible time making dumplings, dreaming wild dreams, and showing off my magic skills. I can't wait to see what other adventures await me this school year!篇3My Exciting School LifeHi everyone! My name is Tony and I'm in the 7th grade. I wanted to share with you some of the fun and interesting things I've been learning about in my English class this year.Unit 1 was all about introductions and making new friends. We learned how to greet each other, ask questions like "What's your name?" and "Where are you from?", and give basic information about ourselves. My teacher had us do a lot of roleplaying activities where we pretended to meet new people and introduce ourselves. It was a little awkward at first, but I gotused to it. I made a new friend named Li Ming who just moved to my city from Beijing. He seems really nice.In Unit 2, we talked about our hobbies and free time activities. I learned vocabulary words like "collecting", "dancing", "fishing", and "camping." We had to do a show-and-tell presentation about our favorite hobby. I brought in my baseball card collection and talked about why I enjoy collecting them so much. Some of my classmates have really cool hobbies like playing the guitar, baking cakes, and even raising pet rabbits!Unit 3 was my favorite so far because it was all about food, eating, and nutrition. I love eating (maybe a little too much!). We learned menu vocabulary like "appetizer", "entree", "side dish", and "dessert." We also studied words for different dining establishments like "cafeteria", "food court", and "buffet restaurant." The best part was when our teacher brought in all sorts of plastic food models and we got to practice ordering meals from each other. I ordered a gigantic banana split for dessert! There was also a section about healthy and unhealthy foods.I learned that foods like French fries, milkshakes, and candy bars have too much fat, sugar, and calories. But fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins are good for you. My teachersaid I need to eat less junk food and more healthy snacks like yogurt, nuts, and fresh fruit. I'm trying, but it's hard to resist my cravings for chips and chocolate! We'll see how it goes.Unit 4 has been about daily routines and household chores. Kind of boring, but also useful vocab to know. We studied words and phrases like "make your bed", "sweep the floor", "walk the dog", and "take out the trash." I have to admit, I'm not the best at doing my chores around the house. My mom is always nagging me to clean up my room, put my dishes in the sink, and help with the laundry. I keep promising I'll start being more responsible, but then I get distracted playing video games or watching YouTube videos. Oops!We also learned how to tell time and talk about our schedules, like "At 7 AM, I wake up and get dressed for school." A typical weekday for me goes like this: wake up, eat breakfast, go to school, come home, play outside, eat dinner, take a shower, finish homework, read or watch TV for a little while, then go to bed around 9 PM. On weekends, I get to sleep in late (my favorite!) and just hang out with friends. We'll play basketball at the park, go to the movies, or have sleepovers.Well, those are the highlights from my English class so far this year. It's been a lot of fun and I'm excited to keep learningmore. Speaking of which, I should probably stop procrastinating and start my homework for tomorrow! Time to hit the books. Thanks for reading, catch you later!篇4My Memorable School DaysHi there! My name is Lucy and I'm a 7th grader at Greenhill Primary School. Looking back on my school days so far, there are so many fun and interesting memories that come to mind. Let me share some of the highlights with you!First up, the start of this school year in Unit 1 was all about "Hello, Nice to Meet You!" It was exciting to catch up with my friends after the summer break and meet some new classmates too. I remember feeling a bit nervous on the first day, but my teacher Ms. Parker made us all feel so welcome. She had us play some icebreaker games to get to know each other better. One game I really enjoyed was "Two Truths and a Lie" where we had to guess which statements about our partners were true or false. It was hilarious trying to spot the lies!In that unit, we also learned how to properly introduce ourselves and ask others questions like "What's your name?", "How old are you?", and "Where are you from?". Practicing thoseconversations really helped build my confidence for making new friends. My favorite part was sharing about my hobbies and interests. I love reading fantasy novels, so I brought in my favorite book to show the class. Quite a few classmates seemed interested in it too! Then in Unit 2, the theme was "My Things". We learned all sorts of vocabulary for describing different objects and stationery items. I'll never forget the fun we had with those "I Spy" games, trying to correctly identify random objects our teacher would hold up. We also wrote descriptive paragraphs about our favorite belongings and shared them with partners. I wrote about my treasured teddy bear that I've had since I was a baby. He's a bit worn out these days, but I love him just the same! For the skills part of that unit, we practiced using apostrophes to show possession. That was pretty tricky at first, but doing all those practice exercises really helped it stick. By the end, I could properly say things like "Lucy's teddy bear" or "The color of Timmy's pencil case" without a problem. Using apostrophes correctly has made my writing more precise.Moving on to Unit 3, the big topic was "My Hobbies". This was one of my favorites because I got to learn about the coolhobbies my classmates enjoy. Amy gave a presentation on her coin collection, while Jack taught us some basic soccer skills during an outdoor activity. So many interesting options like reading, dancing, hiking, arts and crafts, and more! I enjoyed broadening my horizons. For my part, I talked about my hobby of stargazing with a telescope I got for my last birthday. I made a poster with pictures of different planets, moons, and constellations that I've observed.I also brought in my telescope to class and some of my friends even got a peek through it at the moon! It was awesome sharing my passion with everyone. This unit really opened my eyes to the diverse talents and interests we all have. The language focus for that unit was on using phrases with gerunds, like "I'm interested in collecting coins" or "Jack enjoys playing soccer". It took some practice, but eventually I got the hang of it. Now I can properly discuss my hobbies and those of others with those neat gerund phrases. Finally, let's talk about Unit 4 which covered "Popular Games and Sports". As you can probably guess, this was another super engaging unit! We learned tons of new vocabulary related to different sports, games, equipment, rules, and more. There was alively discussion when we talked about our favorite games and why we enjoy them so much.I'll never forget when we had a special guest, a professional soccer player, come to our school and run an event for us. She taught us some pro techniques for dribbling, passing, and shooting. Then we had a mini-tournament with teams competing in relay races and other fun drills. My team ended up winning, which made me feel like a superstar! What a memorable experience. For the language focus, we worked on using phrases like "good at", "interested in", and "bored with" to describe our abilities and interests related to sports and games. I am "good at" soccer and "interested in" learning new games, but I have to admit I'm "bored with" some of the boardgames my little brother loves. Using those phrases accurately makes my meaning really clear.Well, there you have it - a whirlwind tour through some of my most memorable experiences from 7th grade English so far! From icebreakers and self-introductions, to exploring hobbies, belongings, games and sports, it's been such an engaging journey. My English skills have grown by leaps and bounds. Not only have I expanded my vocabulary and mastered some tricky grammar concepts, but I've also become more confident in speaking, writing, and sharing my thoughts. Collaborative activities, presentations, and skill practice have all contributed to this progress. Thanks to my amazing teacher and the engaging PEP materials, English class has been my favorite part of 7th grade so far!篇5My Summer Vacation and School LifeHi there! My name is Amy, and I'm a student in Grade 7. Today, I'm going to share with you about my summer vacation and the first few months of my new school year. Get ready for an exciting adventure!During the summer break, my family and I went on a fantastic trip to the countryside. We stayed at my grandparents' house, which is surrounded by beautiful fields and forests. It was so refreshing to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the peaceful environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. One of the highlights of our trip was visiting a local farm. We got to see all kinds of animals, like cows, sheep, chickens, and even a friendly donkey named Daisy. The farmer showed us howto milk the cows and collect eggs from the chicken coop. It was a lot of fun, and I learned so much about where our food comes from.Another exciting activity we did was going on a nature hike. My dad is an excellent guide, and he taught us how to identify different plants and animal tracks. We even spotted a few deer grazing in the distance! During the hike, we also had a picnic lunch by a lovely stream. The sandwiches tasted extra delicious in the great outdoors. When we weren't exploring the countryside, I spent time helping my grandparents in their vegetable garden. We planted tomatoes, carrots, and cucumbers, and I learned how to properly water and care for the plants. It was really satisfying to see the fruits (and veggies!) of our labor grow day by day.Towards the end of the summer, we visited a nearby small town for their annual fair. There were so many fun things to do, like riding the Ferris wheel, playing games, and trying all sorts of delicious food from the vendors. I even won a giant teddy bear at the ring toss game! After our wonderful summer vacation, it was time to head back to the city and start a new school year. I was both excited and a little nervous to be in Grade 7. On the first day of school, Imet my new classmates and teachers. Everyone seemed really nice, and I made a few new friends right away.In English class, we started Unit 1, which was all about daily routines and habits. We learned how to talk about our morning routines, like getting ready for school, having breakfast, and brushing our teeth. We also discussed good habits, like exercising regularly and getting enough sleep. It was interesting to compare our routines and habits with our classmates.Next, we moved on to Unit 2, which focused on sports and hobbies. We learned a lot of new vocabulary related to different sports and activities, like tennis, swimming, painting, and playing the piano. We even had a fun project where we had to create a poster about our favorite hobby and present it to the class.Unit 3 was all about food and cooking. We learned about different types of cuisines, like Chinese, Italian, and Mexican food. We also learned how to follow recipes and talk about our favorite dishes. One of the highlights was when our teacher brought in some ingredients, and we got to make our own simple snacks in class. Mine didn't turn out too great, but it was still a lot of fun!The most recent unit we covered was Unit 4, which was about shopping and money. We learned how to talk aboutdifferent types of stores, like clothing stores, bookstores, and supermarkets. We also practiced asking for prices, making purchases, and counting change. Our teacher even brought in some fake money, and we did role-plays where we pretended to be shoppers and cashiers. So far, Grade 7 has been a wonderful experience. I've learned so many new things, made new friends, and had a lot of fun in the process. I can't wait to see what the rest of the school year has in store!Well, that's all for now. I hope you enjoyed reading about my summer vacation and the first few units of our English class. Until next time, take care!篇6Certainly! Here's an essay written in English, covering Units 1-4 of the PEP English textbook for Grade 7, with a length of around 2,000 words, and in the voice of an elementary school student. My Exciting School LifeHi there! My name is Emily, and I'm a seventh-grader at Sunshine Elementary School. I can't wait to share with you all theexciting things I've experienced this year so far. Get ready for a rollercoaster ride of adventures, challenges, and lots of fun!Unit 1: Making New FriendsThe beginning of the school year was a little nerve-wracking for me. I had to say goodbye to my old friends who moved to different schools, and I worried about making new ones. However, on the very first day, I met a girl named Sophie during recess. We instantly hit it off, bonding over our love for reading and our shared dream of becoming authors someday. From that day on, Sophie and I became inseparable. We would spend our lunch breaks chatting about our favorite books, swapping stories we had written, and even coming up with crazy plots for imaginary novels. It was like finding a long-lost best friend!Unit 2: Exploring New HobbiesAs the weeks went by, Sophie and I discovered a shared passion for painting. We joined the art club and spent countless hours after school, unleashing our creativity on canvases. Our art teacher, Mrs. Davis, was amazed by our talent and encouraged us to enter a citywide art competition. With our brushes in hand, we poured our hearts into creating masterpieces. Sophie's painting portrayed a magical forest filled with whimsical creatures, while mine depicted a vibrant underwater world teeming with colorful marine life. The day of the competition arrived, and we were both ecstatic when our names were announced as winners! It was a moment of pure joy and pride, and we vowed to continue nurturing our artistic talents.Unit 3: Dealing with ChallengesDetermined not to give up, we sought help from our teacher, Mr. Thompson. He patiently guided us through the concepts, and we spent countless hours practicing problems together. Slowly but surely, the fog began to lift, and math started making sense. The day of the big math test arrived, and we were both nervous wrecks. But as we put our pencils to the paper, the lessons we had learned kicked in, and we tackled each question with newfound confidence. When the results came back, we had both passed with flying colors!Unit 4: Embracing DiversityOne of the most enriching experiences of the school year was the International Culture Fair. Our school was a melting pot of different cultures, and this event celebrated the beauty of diversity.Sophie and I volunteered to help set up the various booths, each representing a different country. We learned about traditional dances, sampled delicious cuisines, and even tried our hand at creating intricate crafts from around the world. But the highlight of the fair was the talent show, where students showcased their unique cultural performances. We were mesmerized by the vibrant costumes, the rhythmic dances, and the beautiful melodies that filled the auditorium. As the year came to a close, Sophie and I reflected on the incredible journey we had embarked upon. We had made lifelong friends, discovered hidden talents, overcome challenges, and embraced the richness of diversity. It was a year filled with laughter, tears, and countless memories that we would cherish forever. As I look ahead to the next school year, I can't help but feel excited for the adventures that await. With my best friend by my side and a heart full of dreams, I know that the possibilities areendless. So, here's to another year of growth, learning, and making the most of every moment!。

After breakfast, I usually do my homework for the week and study for any upcoming tests. In the afternoon, I like to go out for a bike ride or visit a museum or park with my family. We always have a lot of fun exploring new places together. In the evening, I like to relax at home and maybe watch a movie with my family. Overall, I think weekends are a great time to relax, have fun, and spend quality time with family and friends.Unit 2My Daily RoutineMy daily routine is pretty simple but it keeps me busy throughout the day. I usually wake up at 6:00 am and then brush my teeth and wash my face. After that, I have a quick breakfast which usually consists of toast and milk. Then, I get dressed and head off to school.School starts at 8:00 am and I have classes until 1:00 pm. During the school day, I have English, Math, Science, History, andPE. After school, I have lunch with my friends and then we usually hang out in the schoolyard playing games or chatting until 3:00 pm.When I get home, I usually have a snack and then do my homework. I try to finish all my homework before dinner time so that I can relax and spend time with my family in the evening. We usually have dinner together and then watch TV or play games.I go to bed at around 10:00 pm so that I can get a good night's sleep and be ready for the next day. I think having a daily routine helps me stay organized and manage my time effectively.Unit 3My Dream VacationMy dream vacation is to visit Japan. I have always been fascinated by Japanese culture, food, and history and I would love to explore the country and learn more about it.One of the things I'm most excited about is trying authentic Japanese cuisine. I would love to taste sushi, ramen, yakitori, and all the other delicious dishes that Japan has to offer. I also want to learn how to make sushi myself and maybe even take a cooking class.I also want to visit famous landmarks like Mount Fuji, Tokyo Tower, and the ancient temples and shrines of Kyoto. I think it would be amazing to see these historical sites in person and learn more about the rich history of Japan.I also want to experience traditional Japanese culture like wearing a kimono, watching a tea ceremony, and maybe even staying in a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn). I think it would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will never forget.Overall, I think Japan is a beautiful and fascinating country that has so much to offer. I hope one day I can make my dream vacation a reality and explore all that Japan has to offer.Unit 4My Favorite HobbyMy favorite hobby is playing the guitar. I started playing the guitar when I was in elementary school and I have been practicing and improving ever since.Playing the guitar is a great way to relax and express myself.I love to strum the strings and learn new songs and melodies. It'sa creative outlet for me and I enjoy the process of learning and mastering new techniques.I also love the sound of the guitar. It's such a versatile instrument that can create so many different sounds and emotions. Whether I'm playing a soft ballad or a fast-paced rock song, the guitar always sounds beautiful to me.Another thing I love about playing the guitar is that I can play with other people. I have joined a band with some of my friends and we have a great time jamming together and performing at school events and talent shows.Overall, playing the guitar is a hobby that brings me a lot of joy and fulfillment. It's something I'm passionate about and I hope to continue playing and improving for many years to come.。
七年级下册人教版英语前三单元作文范文
七年级下册人教版英语前三单元作文范文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My School LifeHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 7th grader at Greendale Middle School. I thought I'd share a bit about my school life and what I've been learning in English class this year. It's been a fun ride so far! When I first walked through the doors on the first day of 7th grade, I was a bundle of nerves. Middle school seemed so big and intimidating compared to elementary school. But my fears quickly went away as I started meeting my new teachers and classmates. Everyone was just as anxious as me, so at least we were all in it together! My favorite class is definitely English. I've always loved reading, writing, and learning about different cultures. This year we've covered some really cool topics that have opened my eyes to the wider world around me.Unit 1 was all about talking about our daily routines and schedules. I learned a ton of new vocabulary related to common activities and household chores. It was interesting practicing dialogues about getting ready for school, doing homework, helping out around the house, and spending time with family. My partner and I even created a short skit acting out a typical weekend morning! What really stuck with me from Unit 1 was the emphasis on appreciating different cultures and customs. We read stories from around the globe discussing how teenagers in other countries spend their days. I was amazed at how different some routines and traditions were compared to my own life. It made me appreciate the diversity in the world.Unit 2 dove into the world of food, cooking, and healthy habits. I have to admit, this was probably my favorite unit so far. As a foodie, I loved learning new vocabulary about ingredients, recipes, and international cuisines. We had fun creating pretend menus and restaurants with classmates. My menu was an "Around the World" theme with dishes from Mexico, Italy, India, and more! The reading passages in this unit really opened my eyes to global issues surrounding food waste, sustainability, and foodinsecurity. I was shocked at some of the statistics I learned about hunger and malnutrition across the world. It made me want to get more involved with food drives and being more conscious about my own consumption habits.Unit 3 was where we really started diving into expressing our opinions, making suggestions, and stating preferences. This one took some getting used to because there was a lot of new grammar to master. Things like modal verbs, adjective clauses, and conditionals were tough nuts to crack at first!Once I got the hang of that grammar though, I loved being able to clearly articulate my thoughts, feelings, and viewpoints through writing and speaking activities. We did fun debates about controversial topics, gave persuasive speeches, and wrote argumentative essays. I still need to work on being more confident in expressing my opinions out loud, but the practice has definitely helped a ton.One of the coolest projects in Unit 3 was our "Fantastic Futuristic World" presentations. We had to envision our dream society and community, complete with innovative ideas for transportation, housing, education, and more. I went all out, imagining a city with flying cars, eco-friendly buildings, and virtual reality classrooms. Dreaming big was so much fun!Along the way in each unit, we've read tons of fun stories, articles, and books that brought all these ideas and concepts to life. Some standouts for me were the short story "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe (deliciously creepy!) and the classic novel Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne. I loved getting swept up in the adventures and far-off settings.Even though 7th grade isn't over yet, I already feel like I've grown so much as a student and a person. English class has given me confidence in my communication abilities, while also nurturing my curiosity about different cultures. Mastering skills like reading comprehension, writing, grammar, speaking and more will definitely come in handy as I get older. Most importantly though, I've learned how to be a more globally-minded citizen. I have a much greater awareness and appreciation for the diversity of our world's people, customs, and perspectives. It's inspired me to be more open-minded, respectful, and conscious about how my actions impact those beyond just my local community.Who knew that signing up for 7th grade English would help me become a born-again learner and globetrotter? I can't wait to see what other eye-opening lessons await me in the yearsahead. This magical journey of discovery has only just begun!篇2My Life in Seventh Grade So FarHi there! My name is Lucy and I'm a 7th grader at Riverside Middle School. I thought I'd share a little bit about my life and experiences so far this school year. It's been a bit of a roller coaster ride, but I'm having a lot of fun overall!Let me start by telling you about my classes and schoolwork. In 7th grade, we have to take a bunch of core subjects like math, science, history, and English. My favorite is definitely English class. I just love reading novels, analyzing poems, and creative writing. This semester, we read the book "The Giver" which was kind of weird but really thought-provoking. For our final project, we had to write our own dystopian short story. I had a blast letting my imagination run wild!Math is...well, let's just say it's not my forte. I really struggle with all the formulas, equations, and word problems. Algebra is just baffling to me. Thank goodness I have a great math tutor who comes over once a week to help me out. I don't know what I'd do without her patient explanations! As for science, I really enjoy the hands-on experiments and labs we get to do. Last month, we did a really cool lab where weextracted DNA from a strawberry. I mean, how amazing is that? I definitelywant to be a scientist when I篇3My Awesome Summer Vacation!Hey there! It's me again, your favorite storyteller. I'm back to share the adventures I had during my awesome summer vacation. Get ready for a wild ride because this wasn't just any ordinary summer break – it was filled with excitement, laughter, and unforgettable memories!Unit 1: My LifeLet me start by telling you a little bit about myself. My name is Alex, and I'm a 12-year-old kiddo who loves to explore the great outdoors. I live in a cozy little town surrounded by rolling hills and winding streams. During the school year, my days are packed with classes, homework, and after-school activities, but when summer rolls around, it's like a whole new world opens up!This summer, my family and I decided to go camping in the nearby mountains. We packed our trusty tent, sleeping bags, and plenty of snacks, and hit the road. The drive was long, but the scenery was breathtaking – towering evergreen trees,snow-capped peaks, and crystal-clear lakes. It was like something out of a postcard!Once we arrived at the campsite, we wasted no time setting up our home away from home. Dad expertly assembled the tent while Mom started a crackling fire for us to roast marshmallows. My little sister, Emma, and I went on a scavenger hunt, collecting pinecones, colorful leaves, and smooth river rocks. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we gathered around the campfire, swapping stories and laughing until our bellies hurt. The stars seemed to twinkle brighter than ever before, and the cool mountain air was refreshing. I felt so alive and free, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.Unit 2: Learning the LanguageDuring our camping trip, I had the chance to practice my English skills in a fun and natural way. Every morning, we would go on a short hike, and I would try to identify different plants and animals using the English names I had learned in school. It was like a real-life vocabulary lesson!"Look, Dad! That's a squirrel scurrying up the tree trunk!" I would exclaim, proud of myself for remembering the word."Great job, Alex! And do you know what that bird is called?" Dad would reply, encouraging me to keep learning. In the evenings, we would play word games around the campfire, challenging each other to come up with rhymes, tongue twisters, and silly jokes. It was a great way to build my confidence in speaking English while having a blast with my family. One night, we even tried our hand at telling spooky campfire stories. Mom's tale about a haunted cabin in the woods had us all huddled together, wide-eyed and giggling nervously. Even though the stories weren't real, it was a fantastic opportunity for me to practice my listening comprehension skills in a fun and engaging way.Unit 3: People and PlacesOn our last day of camping, we decided to explore the nearby town and learn about its rich history and culture. We visited an old mining museum, where a friendly guide showed us around and taught us about the town's past as a booming gold rush settlement.I was fascinated by the displays of rugged mining equipment and the stories of the brave men and women who came from allover the world to seek their fortune. It was like stepping back in time, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and respect for those pioneering spirits. After the museum, we strolled through the quaint Main Street, lined with charming shops and cafes. I tried my best to strike up conversations with the friendly shopkeepers, asking them about their wares and practicing my English in real-life situations."Excuse me, could you tell me a little bit about this beautiful pottery?" I asked the owner of a local arts and crafts store, marveling at the intricate designs."Why, of course, young man!" the kind lady replied, launching into a detailed explanation about the traditional techniques used by the local artisans.I listened intently, soaking up every word and feeling a sense of pride at being able to engage in such a meaningful exchange. As our vacation came to an end, I found myself feeling grateful for the incredible experiences I had shared with my family. Not only did we create lasting memories, but I also had the opportunity to practice my English skills in real-worldsituations, making the learning process feel more like an adventure than a chore.I can't wait to see what other exciting adventures await me in the upcoming school year. Who knows, maybe I'll even get to put my English skills to the test on an international field trip or something equally as thrilling! For now, though, I'll cherish the memories of our camping trip and the valuable lessons I learned along the way. Until next time, my friends!篇4My English Learning JourneyHey there! My name is Lily and I'm a 7th grader at Greendale Middle School. In this essay, I'll share my experiences with learning English over the past few months as we covered the first three units in our textbook. It's been quite an adventure!Unit 1: My FavoritesThe first unit was all about talking about our favorite things like foods, sports, books, movies and more. I really enjoyed this unit because it allowed me to express my personal interests and learn about my classmates' favorites too.One of the first things we learned were different ways to describe our tastes using phrases like "I'm keen on...", "I have a preference for...", and "My favorite ___ has to be ___". Describing my love for pepperoni pizza was a piece of cake with these handy expressions! We also learned how to ask others about their favorites politely using questions like "What's your favorite ___?" and "Do you like ___ or ___ better?" I discovered some surprising favorites among my friends - who knew Billy was such a big fan of romantic novels?Talking about favorites was not only fun but helped me realize how diverse everyone's interests are. Pierre prefers action movies while Emma loves comedies. Samantha is a basketball fanatic whereas I can't get enough of swimming. The world would be so boring if we all liked the exact same things!Unit 2: My Daily RoutineUp next was a unit focused on describing our daily routines and schedules. As a young teenager, my daily life is a constant juggling act between school, extracurriculars, homework and (hopefully) some fun activities sprinkled in.The key grammar points covered were using simple present tense for habits/routines and telling time. Phrases like "I get up at 7 am every day" and "I usually have soccer practice from 4 to 6 pm" became second nature. Mastering telling time was trickier, but I got the hang of it: "School starts at quarter to 9" or "I go to bed around 10:30 pm."We also learned some useful vocabulary related to daily activities like "get dressed", "have breakfast/lunch/dinner", "walk the dog", "do homework", and more. Sequencing words like "first", "next", "after that", and "finally" helped us describe our routines in an organized way.One amusing assignment was keeping a handwritten daily schedule and then swapping with a partner to see how our days differed. I was shocked by how early Brian's day starts for football practice at 5:30 am! No wonder he's always yawning in first period.Seeing the variety of schedules made me appreciate how we all have different responsibilities, commitments and interests that shape our daily lives in unique ways. Some of my classmates have part-time jobs, others are in the school band, and a few are committed scouts or volunteers. Our routines are like intricate puzzles we piece together day by day.Unit 3: Activities and HobbiesThe third unit allowed us to dig deeper into discussing our free time activities, interests and hobbies. As middle schoolers, we're at an age where we're still exploring new potential hobbies while holding on to beloved childhood pastimes.Early on, we learned to use phrases like "I'm interested in ___" or "My hobby is ___" to simply state our hobbies and interests. Verbs like "play", "do", "go", "watch", and "read" were paired with different hobby words - "I play video games", "I do karate", "I go hiking".Expressing frequency was key too, using adverbs like "often", "sometimes", "rarely", "never", and "every day/week/month". For example, "I often read fantasy novels" or "I rarely go camping".We covered making polite invitations and giving reasons ("Would you like to go cycling this weekend? It's great exercise!") and learned how to accept or turn down invitations smoothly ("Sure, I'd love to!" or "Sorry, I can't. I have a family event.")A fun assignment was creating visual hobby collages and presenting them to our classmates. I included pictures of swimming, reading novels, baking cupcakes, and caring for my pet rabbit Marshmallow. Seeing my classmates' hobbiesrepresented visually - whether it was rock climbing, chess, coding, or vlogging - made me appreciate the diversity of interests we have at our age.One insight I gained is that hobbies don't have to be physical activities or organized clubs. Antoine's passion is tinkering with electronics while Emma loves creative writing. Hobbies come in all shapes and sizes and can be solo or group activities.Looking AheadThose were the first three units we covered, and already I feel like my English skills and cultural knowledge have grown so much. I'm excited to continue my English journey and explore new units on topics like shopping, travel, careers, and more.Learning a new language truly opens a window to understanding different cultures, perspectives and ways of life. Even within my own classroom, I've gained a deeper appreciation for the uniqueness of my peers and how our backgrounds, interests and routines make us who we are.I may only be in 7th grade, but I know these English skills will serve me well in the future - whether I'm traveling abroad, reading books/watching movies from around the world, orconversing with people from diverse backgrounds. An open mind and a passion for communication are the first steps.Who knows, maybe I'll emerge from this journey as the next great American writer sharing stories from my middle school days. Or maybe I'll become a diplomat representing my country overseas. Or perhaps an English teacher, passing on the gift of cross-cultural connection to the next generation of students. The possibilities are endless when you have the world at your fingertips through language. I can't wait to see where this English learning adventure takes me next!篇5Certainly! Here is an essay of around 2,000 words in English, written from a seventh-grader's perspective, covering the first three units of the seventh-grade English textbook (PEP Edition):A New School YearHey there! My name is Alex, and I'm a seventh-grader at Greenwood Middle School. I'm so excited to share my adventures with you from this new school year. It's been a whirlwind of new experiences, and I can't wait to tell you all about it!Let's start with the first unit we covered, "My Favorite Things." We learned how to talk about our likes and dislikes, which was a lot of fun. I got to share my love for video games and my favorite superhero movies with my classmates. It was really cool to find out that some of my friends share the same interests as me!One of the highlights of this unit was when our teacher, Ms. Johnson, asked us to bring in our favorite things from home and present them to the class. I brought my prized Lego collection, and let me tell you, my classmates were totally impressed! Even the coolest kids in class thought my Lego sets were awesome. The second unit we studied was called "School Subjects." This one was a bit trickier for me because, let's be honest, not all subjects are equally exciting. I mean, I love science and computer class, but math can be a real struggle sometimes. We learned how to talk about our favorite and least favorite subjects, as well as how to express our opinions on different school activities. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous when it was my turn to share because I didn't want to offend anyone by saying I don't like a particular subject. But Ms. Johnson is the coolest teacher ever, and she made sure everyone felt comfortable sharing their thoughts. Eventhough some of my classmates love math (which I findmind-boggling), we all respected each other's opinions. One of the most memorable moments from this unit was when we had to act out different school scenarios. My group had to pretend we were in a science lab, and let's just say our experiment didn't go as planned. We ended up making a huge mess, but we all had a good laugh about it afterwards. Now, let's move on to the third unit, "After School." This one was all about talking about our hobbies and after-school activities. I was super excited for this unit because I finally got to share my passion for soccer with everyone.During one of our lessons, we had to give a presentation on our favorite hobbies. I went all out and made a PowerPoint presentation with pictures and videos of me playing soccer. I even brought my soccer ball to class and did a few tricks for everyone. To my surprise, a lot of my classmates were really interested in soccer and asked me tons of questions about it. Some of them even wanted to join the school soccer team after seeing my presentation! One of the funniest moments from this unit was when our teacher organized an after-school activity fair. Each student had to set up a booth and promote their favorite hobby or activity. Let's just say things got a bit chaotic, but in a good way.My booth was all about soccer, of course, and I had a little game set up where people could try to score goals. It was a huge hit, and even some of the teachers joined in on the fun!But the real highlight was when my friend Jake set up his booth for his favorite video game. He had a whole gaming setup with multiple screens and controllers, and he was practically mobbed by all the gamers in our class. It was hilarious to see everyone crowded around his booth, completely engrossed in the game.Overall, these first three units have been an absolute blast! I've learned so much about my classmates and their interests, and I've even discovered some new hobbies of my own.Who knows what adventures await in the next few units? All I know is that seventh grade is turning out to be an unforgettable year, filled with laughter, learning, and some occasional chaos (but the good kind, of course).I can't wait to see what else this school year has in store for me and my friends. Stay tuned for more updates from yours truly, Alex the seventh-grader extraordinaire!篇6My New School YearHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 7th-grader at Riverside Middle School. I'm really excited to tell you all about my new school year so far. The first few months have been a whirlwind of new classes, new teachers, and lots of new things to learn!Unit 1 was all about "Greetings" and how to properly introduce yourself in English. I already knew some basic greetings like "hello" and "how are you?" from primary school. But we learned more advanced ways to greet people, like "It's a pleasure to meet you" and "I'm delighted to make your acquaintance." It was a bit tricky getting all the new vocabulary and expressions down at first. My English teacher, Ms. Roberts, had us do lots of role-playing activities where we pretended to meet new people at parties or business events. I have to admit, I felt a little silly at times acting all formal and proper! But I know it's an important skill, especially if I ever want to study or work abroad someday. In Unit 2, we studied "Countries and Nationalities." I was pretty familiar with naming countries and nationalities already from geography class. But in English, there are some funny little quirks you have to watch out for. Like how people from China are "Chinese", but people from Vietnam are "Vietnamese" instead of "Vietnamish." And for some countries, the nationality is totally different from the country name, like for Turkey (the nationality is "Turkish") or Switzerland ("Swiss"). We had to memorize all those irregular ones through chants and songs. A few of them still trip me up sometimes! This unit also taught us how to ask people "Where are you from?" and describe where we're from using phrases like "I'm from..." or "My home country is..."That brings me to Unit 3, which focused on "Family Members." In Chinese, we have specific terms for family relationships like maternal grandparents versus paternal grandparents. But in English, it's a bit simpler - you just have "grandmother" and "grandfather." We learned vocabulary for nuclear family members like parents, siblings, etc. as well as extended family like aunts, uncles, and cousins. One thing I thought was really interesting is how in English you specify if your aunt is on your mom's side or dad's side by saying "paternal aunt" or "maternal aunt." We don't really do that as much in Chinese. The hardest part about this unit for me was using possessive pronouns correctly. Like, you say "my mother" but "her daughter" - you can't say "sheherdaughter." Getting those right was really tricky at first because in Chinese we don't actually use separate possessive adjectives that way. But after a bunch of practice exercises and worksheets, I finally started getting the hang of it.We also learned how to describe our families using simple sentences like "I have two younger brothers" or more complex sentences like "My aunt is a nurse and she works at the hospital downtown." Describing family members' personalities, occupations, and other details like that was great writing practice. For the Unit 3 test, we even had to write a whole paragraph about our families! So those are the highlights from my first three units of7th-grade English so far. I've already learned so many useful English expressions and grammar points for introducing myself, talking about my background, and describing my family. I know these first units lay crucial groundwork, but I'm really excited to move on to more advanced topics and activities soon. Wish me luck as I continue my English studies this year! Let me know if you have any other questions.。
