Warm-up and Speaking
Ⅰ.My understanding of the material
My understanding of the teaching material includes 3 parts: the status and the function, the important and difficult points.
The status and the function:This unit is about giving advices by using some new sentences .Actually giving advice is an important part of making friends while talking,so it's very important to obtain the skill.
The important and difficult points:According to the national curriculum of English and language learning theory,so the points is how to make students grasp the new words 、phrases and how to improve their fluency of speaking about giving advice
Teaching objective:in order to fulfill the learning task of this lesson, I make the following objectives:
The objective of Warm-up:
Words:acquire the new words about giving
advice:advice,argue,bored,carefully,complain,explain,fair,keyboard,midnight,moddy and so on in the vocabulary.
Sentences:acquire the sentence of describing adventure:you should……,you shouldn't……..
The objective of Speaking:Learn how to giving advice smoothly.
Teaching methods:Generally speaking, I adopt task-based language teaching and communicative approach in my class. Computer and blackboard as my teaching aids.
Learning ways:as for students, they will learn through independent reading, discussing and responding my questions one by one.
Teaching procedure:here comes the most important part.It includes 5 steps: Step I: Lead-in and new words learning, Step II: While-reading, Step III: Consolidation, Step IV: Post-reading, Step V: Homework.
Step I: Lead-in and new words learning.
There are three questions to leading the lesson:"have you ever had some trouble?","have you ever given your friends advice?"""what problem did he/her have and what was your advice?"
New words learning:students read words following my leading from the vocabulary.
After learning new words,enough students to give answers to my question.
Step II: While-reading
Get students to read the passage and then finish the task on the book.

Step IV: Post-reading
Get students to review words and paragraph through reading.
Step V: Homework
Students are required to review the learned lesson and underline the useful words and phrases in the text. This one is for them to consolidate what they’ve learn ed and make preparation for the next lesson.In addition,the homework below are required to finish.
1.Copy the new words appearing in the passage for three times.
2.Write a composition about a problem and advices.。
