Unit 2 Two KindsI. Introduction of the authorAmy Tan (born February 19, 1952) is an American writer whose works explore mother-daughter relationships. Her most well-known work is The Joy Luck Club, which has been translated into 35 languages. In 1993, the book was adapted into a commercially successful film.Tan has written several other bestselling novels, including The Kitchen God's Wife, The Hundred Secret Senses, The Bonesetter's Daughter and Saving Fish from Drowning. 目的是帮助学生巩固各国货币名称及货币符号的英文表达。

第二部分是Listening,由听力练习和歌曲欣赏两部分组成。

听力练习首先以“连线搭配物品与名称”为听前的热身活动。

在此基础上,提供听力材料两篇,即关于银行取钱的一个对话和两名学生如何花费打工报酬的一则小短文。

两篇听力材料均结合情境,通过选择、正误判断、填空等多种练习形式检测、训练、提高学生捕捉具体信息的能力。

英语歌曲欣赏部分是一首名为Eversleeping的英语歌曲,通过听歌、填词、学唱等形式,让学生在优美的音乐旋律中,感受音乐的魅力,并提高英语听力能力。

第三部分是Having Fun,A部分是一则关于金钱的幽默故事,在轻松愉悦的课堂氛围中,帮助学生提高语言学习能力。

B部分是English mottoes,主要是帮助学生了解与金钱、财富相关的英语格言,领略金钱、财富词汇的妙用,再次明确学习主题。

Section B由对话和短文组成。

第一部分1A是一篇关于银行开户的小对话,要求学生听录音,并模仿跟读。

1B要求学生结合四个不同银行帐户的图片,仿照1A操练对话。

该部分为2A长对话的顺利展开作铺垫。

第二部分2A是一个比较完整的关于银行业务办理的对话。

在1A小对话的基础上,语言、信息更丰富,更具有交际意义。

2B中的两幅图片给学生提供了清晰、丰富的关于银行业务办理的信息,让学生在完成2A的基础上编写、操练对话,引导学生学以致用。

第三部分是一篇介绍“学生打工挣钱”的小短文。

3A以阅读短文并选择的形式,考查学生对短文的掌握情况。

3B以对话的形式,根据课文的内容补全对话并展开讨论,让学生表达自己的观点,进一步提高会话能力。

Section C由课文、词汇练习、写作、拓展阅读和语法五部分组成。

第一部分是一篇关于介绍货币历史的文章,主要介绍多个国家的货币发展历史。

通过填表、正误判断、选择题和小组讨论等形式,让学生内化所学知识,同时培养学生预测、略读、细读等阅读技巧,提高阅读能力。

第二部分是V ocabulary Practice,通过拼出正确的单词并找出中文意思、单词的正确形式填空,根据课文内容填空等形式,帮助学生掌握课文中出现的重点词汇,使学生能够在特定语境中准确运用所学的语言点。

第三部分是Writing,通过看图造句、翻译句子、看图表介绍一周的开销计划等练习,帮助学生将所学语言用于日常学习与生活,为写作打下基础,同时复现课文中的重点词汇和句型。

第四部分Extra-reading,是一篇介绍如何省钱的文章。

主要介绍了可以通过团购生活必须品、不购买名牌、不使用信用卡等来节省开支。

通过选择小标题,判断正误等形式,帮助学生理解文章内容,提高阅读能力。

第五部分Grammar。

通过判断句子是否含有宾语从句,用that、if或whether填空、看图完成句子和改写句子等练习,从而帮助学生正确理解和运用宾语从句。
