T: OK! Look at our classroom! Today, our classroom is a little town. There are two streets in the
town. One is Brideg Street, the other is Long Street. And there is a restaurant, a post office,a hospital, a bank, a police station, and a park. I am new in town. And I am hungry. So, I ask, “ Is there a restaurant around here?” How to answer me?
S1: Yes, there is. It’s on Long Street.
T: How can I get there? First, I need to go along Bridge Street. Then, turn left. ( Use the pictures to teach “go along”“turn left”“turn right”)
To get to the restaurant, I need to go along Bridge Street, turn left at the first crossing.(Use picture to teach “crossing”)
Write the sentences below on the blackboard.
—Excuse me, is there a restaurant around here?
—Yes. Go along Bridge Street, and turn left at the first crossing. The restaurant is on the left.(Let students read this conversation three times.)
Now, let’s play a guessing game. I tell you the way, and you walk. In the end,tell me what it is.
T: Go along Long Street, and turn right at the first crossing. It’s on the right. Tell me what it is.
S1: It’s a post office.(Choose three students to play this game.)
Then, make a conversation with your partner about asking ways. Later, I will
choose some of you to show e the sentence patters on the blackboard.
3.Do activity 1a.
Do activity 1a together quickly. It’s very easy.
4.Do activity 1b.
T: Look at the picture on the screen. This is a little town. There are three streets here, Bridge Street, Long Street, and New Street. There is also a library at the crossing, a supermarket on Long Street, a pay phong across from A. Look at this man and woman, one is asking the other ways to A and B. Now, lets listen and write down what A and B are.

S2: B is hotel.
T: Now, listen it again, and draw the ways to A and B on your book.(Choose two students to show us the ways.)
