上海市建成了“上海学生资助管理信息系统”，为资助工作的科学决策提供数据支持。
东北师范大学以数学建模的方式，立足于10万余条数据信息，确立了新的“量化测评模型”。
这些大数据的手段不仅能够“精准”地找到资助对象，还能更加切合实际为他们的成长成才找到精准的切入点。
西安交通大学副校长郑庆华介绍，学校利用大数据平台可以每天实时采集学生在校学习、生活的信息，并进行实时分析，对学生成绩下降、迟到早退、消费反常、上网成瘾等异常行为进行实时预警。
郑庆华说：“通过大数据平台对经济困难学生的隐形特征挖掘分析，我们发现这些学生普遍存在提高自信心、提升人际交往能力、明晰职业规划、开拓国际视野、增强创新精神等发展性需求。
