The most important book for me is my undergraduate major textbook which is called marketing. Because as we all know that marketing is a kind of major which cuts across the boundaries of many different disciplines, so it broadens my knowledge scope, such as the aspects of advertising and trade. On the other hand, well, a plenty of cases are included in this book, in addition, many definitions can explained very acceptable so it definitely helps me to get a deeply understanding of my major.2.

As far as I am concerned, television has more positive effects towards the modern society than its negative sides. First, from the news broadcasting in the television, we can know what is happening in the outside world even without stepping out our living room with television in it. And second, watching television with family members after supper is a good way to relax after a hard day’s work. What’s more, its visual effect makes people feel less stressed and has a great inf luence on the way people think and talk.3. Describe the most important decision that you made in your life.Personally speaking, the most important decision that I have made in my life is to choose marketing as my major in university, as we all know that marketing is a kind of major which cuts across the boundaries of many different disciplines, so in order to learn it well, I have to learn various subjects such as international trade and brand management. What’s more, i’m little timidity in front of chal lenges such as doing the presentation and negotiation, I guess most of the people may have this kind of stage fright, So marketing is a major can definitely anneal myself. During the studies in university, I learned hard and practiced as much as I could. Finally, I got the highest GPA in my grade.4. Do you think the high school should teach music and art as other basic science?I bet no one could deny that the main responsibility of a high school is to help its students develop various abilities not only the academic abilities. In other words, music and art should be viewed as basic science. Firstly, It is very important to get fully educated for students. Music and art can help the students appreciate beauty in our lives, and that will broaden knowledge s cope of students. Also Music and art do good to students’ mentality. A sound mentality is essential to the student’s future.5. When I have time to kill, I usually like to surf the internet to pay close attention to new fashion trade. Such as the fashion week, respectively, New York fashion week, Paris fashion week, London fashion week and Milan fashion week. The rest of time, I usually go to the library to find some valuable books and a park to relax myself. There are many books to my taste, such as fashion magazines, inspirational books, and professional books. These books can make me healthier and energetic. And last thing I’d like to do when I am free is to eat out with my family members. You may be surprised to know that I have tried all the restaurants in our community!6. 打手机该不该在一些地方禁止?I strongly agree with the opinion that the use of a mobile phone should be forbidden in some places, such as library and airplanes. The most common reason for people going to a library is to find a silent environment to read their favorite books without interruption. But if you receive a phone call in the library or just send out messages, the mobile phone will ring. Though people have personal right to use their mobile phone, the others are not supposed to be involved in the unnecessary disturbance. And I do not think it is very polite unless you can turn down the volume. Another place is airplane. As we all know that it is very dangerous to have a phone call in airplane. It may causes interference between the signals. Therefore mobile phone should be forbidden in airplanes unless there is a new technique can avoid it.7.

So it’s no surprise that cultures around the world celebrate spring by honoring the egg. Some traditions are simple, like the red eggs that get baked into Greek Easter breads. Others upgrade the egg into a fancy art, like the heavily jewel-covered “eggs” that were favored by the Russians starting in the 19th century. One ancient form of egg art is egg painting, which comes to us from Ukraine. For centuries, Ukrainians have been drawing complicated patterns on eggs. Contemporary artists have followed this tradition and adapted the traditional methods to create eggs that speak to the anxieties of our age: Life is precious, and delicate. Eggs are, too.“There’s something about their delicate nature that crazily appeals to me,” says New Yorker cartoonist Roz Chast. Several years ago, she became interested in egg painting and learned the traditional Ukrainian technique to draw her very modern characters. “I’ve broken eggs atevery stage of the process — from the very beginning to the very, very end.”But there’s an appeal in that vulnerability. “There’s part of this sickening horror that I kind of like, the horror of knowing you’re walking on the edge with this, knowing that it could all fall apart at any second.” Chast’s designs, such as a worried man alone in a tiny boat, reflect that delicateness.Traditional Ukrainian decorated eggs also spoke to those fears. The complex and detailed patterns were believed to offer protection against evil.Egg painting art, dating back to 300 B.C., was later absorbed into the Christian church. The old symbols, however, still survive. A decorated egg with a bird on it, given to a young married couple, is a wish for children.A decorated egg thrown into the field would be a wish for a good harvest.28. What do we learn about the decorated “eggs” in RussiaA. They are shaped like jewel cases.B. They are heavily painted in red.C. They are favored as a form of art.D. They are valued by the rich.29. Why have contemporary artists continued the tradition of egg paintingA. Because eggs serve as a symbol of the coming of spring.B. Because eggs provide a source of protein in winter’s end.C. Because eggs provide a unique surface to paint on.D. Because eggs reflect the anxieties of people today.30. Which of the following best explains “vulnerability” underlined in paragraph 5A. Delicateness.B. Technique.C. Fear.D. Anxiety.31. What is the main idea of the textA. Egg painting art preserves traditional and popular symbols.B. Different cultures have different ways of honoring the egg.C. Ukrainian egg painting art appeals to contemporary artists.D. Egg painting art continues and develops in pace with time.DImagine you enter a car with no steering wheel, no brake or accelerator pedals (踏板). Under a voice-activated command, you say an address. “The fastest route will take us 15.3 minutes. Should I take it ” You say “yes” and you are on your way. The car responds and starts moving all by itself. All you have to do is to sit back and relax. How strange would it be if, one day in the future, everyone had such a car No crazy driving, no quarrels, no cutting in; traffic laws would be respected and driving much safer. On the other hand, imagine the cost savings for local police enforcement (强制执行) and town budgets without all those speeding and parking tickets.A new technology has the potential to change modern society thoroughly. There’s no question that self-driving vehicles could be anenormous benefit. The potential for safer cars means accident statistics would drop: some 94% of road accidents in the U.S. involve human error. Older drivers and visually-or physically-disabled people would gain a new level of freedom. Maintaining safe speeds and being electric, self-driving cars would sharply reduce pollution levels and dependency on non-renewable fuels. Roads would be quieter, people safer. But we must also consider the impact of the new technology on those who now depend on driving for their living. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, in May 2015 there were 505,560 registered school bus drivers. The American Trucking Association lists approximately 3.5 million professional truck drivers in the U.S. The companies developing self-driving vehicles should be partnering with state and federal authorities to offer retraining for this massive workforce, many of whom will be displaced by the new technology.New technologies will, and should, be developed. This is how society moves forward. However, progress can’t be one-sided. It is necessary for the companies and state agencies involved to consider the moral consequences of these potential changes to build a better future for all.32. What would be the effect of the wide use of driverless carsA. More policemen would inspect the streets.B. People would never feel angry about the traffic.C. It would save local governments a lot of money.D. Traffic regulations would be a thing of the past.33. How would the elderly and the disabled benefit from driverless carsA. They would get rid of air pollution.B. They could enjoy greater mobility.C. They would suffer no road accidents.D. They could go anywhere they want.34.

Milan Fashion WeekANCHORThe fashion world has descended on Italy. The Milan Fashion Week brings together the country’s top designers with names like Prada, Gucci and Georgio Armani taking center stage, but it’s also a time for lesser known Italian desig ners to showcase their work. Milan Fashion Week follows similar extravaganzas, of course, in New York and London. Here to tell us more, Richard Heller, he’s the European Editor of Forbes Global. Thanks for being here. How does Milan rate against some of the other big names?

RICHARD HELLER, EUROPEAN EDITOR OF FORBES GLOBALWell, let’s see. The four gre at shows are New York, London, Milan and Paris. And if I were going to do a one-worder on each, I’d say commercial------New York, daring------London, slick------ Milan, and classic------Paris.

ANCHORWell, they weren’t so slick with the power going out across the country, wer e they? How did they get on? 那么有何新的变化呢?RICHARD HELLERWell, I would have thought that would be a rather dark beginning for the festivities, but I think they’re alright. I talked to somebody down there this morning who said the lights went on in Milan about 5 oÕclock, so they’re alright.

ANCHORSo lesser known Italian designers are going to be showcasing their work, I mean, what are the sort of names that we should be looking out for? Who are going to be the next Armanis, the next Guccis? 谁将成为下一个阿曼尼,下一个古奇?RICHARD HELLERWell, I mean Dolce & Gabana, which is hardly lesser known but was not on your list. And there are a series of young people. But what we have here are the classic old names, theones you mentioned, Prad a, Gucci and so forth. But then there’s Valentino, which is a very old name. Pucci, which was a very old name. And all those names are being revived by young blood that’s coming in. I should say that these fashion shows, however, are the public face of a r ather tough private business, because Italy is both probably the world’s largest textile and apparel industry, in terms of exports in particular, but beyond that it is the workshop in the Western world for the fashion industry, the stitching and all that kind of thing.

ANCHORSure. No doubt we see a lot of smiles on the surface, I mean, is it so cozy underneath? I mean, when money’s at stake, I imagine it’s all pretty cut-throat.

RICHARD HELLERAnything but cozy. But the... some years ago there was a fellow named, I think his name is Ginochietti, who got up and gave a screamer about reorganizing the Milan shows to really let young people in, as opposed to people who are working for, let us say, the Pradas. And he was promptly shouted down. The old control system still works, as it does in Paris too.

ANCHORHow much money changes hands as a result of a show like this?主播举办这样的时装展会带来多少交易额呢?RICHARD HELLEROh... well, let’s see, that’s really hard because most of the selling goes on in showrooms in dingy quarters around the city. Very few clothes are sold while those glamorous ladies are marching up and down. And what we’re really talking about are orders f or the next season, which is to say you see a show and what you see in the catalogue is probably not what you’re going to buy. What you see in the catalogue, let’s say someone like Prada will produce the buzz that will make your buyers, let us say, Harrod’s or Bloomingdale’s, want to buy and so you place your orders for months in advance.
