English:
"Farewell to Cambridge, which I'm leaving, may Cambridge remain unchanged. Farewell to those who were my companions, may they prosper wherever they are. Whatever happens, my heart will always be tied to Cambridge, and I'll carry its memories with me wherever I go. As I bid farewell to the bridges, the rivers, the gardens, and the towers, I know I'm leaving behind not just a place but a part of myself. Yet, life's journey beckons, and I must move forward, knowing that Cambridge will always hold a special place in my heart."

In 1929, Xu Zhimo, a famous Chinese poet, penned a poem titled "Saying Goodbye to Cambridge Again." This poem depicts his emotions and sentiments as he bids farewell to Cambridge, where he had studied and fallen in love. Xu Zhimo's eloquent words portray his deep love for the city and his conflicted feelings as he leaves the place that held so many precious memories.Cambridge, the city that witnessed Xu Zhimo's personal and academic growth, is described as a place of profound beauty. He writes, "Quietly I leave, just as quietly as I came." This line perfectly captures the tranquility and serenity he experienced during his time in Cambridge. It may also signify his desire to leave without disturbance, so as to preserve the blissful memories he had accumulated. The poem takes a melancholic turn as Xu Zhimo reflects on the unavoidable separation. He mourns the passing of time, acknowledging that "a thousand emotions lie unspoken." The poet's heart is heavy as he contemplates the end of his journey in Cambridge. He had hoped for an everlasting stay but is now forced to say goodbye.Despite his longing to stay, Xu Zhimo recognizes that life is a series of departures. He acknowledges that "the world is vast, while the distance is short." This line epitomizes the changes and transitions that individuals face in life. It serves as a reminder that all good things must come to an end, urging him to accept the reality and move forward, embracing new experiences. In the final part of the poem, Xu Zhimo reflects on the importance of cherishing memories. He writes, "After our parting, perhaps it will be difficult to meet again on this vast sea of people." The poet understands that he may never have the opportunity to return to Cambridge or relive the joyous moments he experienced. He encourages the reader to treasure their time in beloved places and with loved ones, for they may never come again."Saying Goodbye to Cambridge Again" is a heartfelt expression of love, loss, and acceptance. Xu Zhimo's words beautifully capture the emotions associated with leaving behind a beloved place. This poem serves as a reminder that life is full of goodbyes and that it is essential to appreciate each fleeting moment of beauty and joy.。
