This unit is designed to teach students how to order food at a restaurant by using would like . This lesson is closely related to students’ daily lives. It’s quite easy to arouse students’ interests in communicating with each other by using the English learnt in this unit. In the process of learning, students are encouraged to express and share their own willing and ideas on describing what they would like, what kind of noodles they would like and what size they would like at a restaurant. Students are expected to learn the key words and the target language in the first period of Section A of this unit.Analysis of the students:Students in Grade 7 are eager to get new information. They are interested in the food they usually like to eat. So they must be interested in the topic of this unit. Because they have learnt much knowledge about fruit, vegetables and many kinds of food such as noodles, dumplings, dessert and so on. They are supposed to understand how to use would like to order food. However, it’s difficult for many students to show their willing and ideas about what kind of noodles they would like and what size they would like at a restaurant .
