Students will be able to master the new words such as Easter and April’s Day and etc.
2) Ability aim
Students can master some listening skills such as skimming and scanning by finding out the main idea and detailed information according to some key works or sentences they hear.

Students can be more interested in talking about different holidays. 2. Important and difficult points

Students will be guided to master the new words Easter and April’s Day and etc.

Students will enhance their listening skills as well as the ability to properly and freely use the new words and sentence patterns to communicate with others.

4. Teaching procedures
Step 1: Lead in
I will lead in the new class by asking students some questions.
Step 2: Pre-listening
1)Showing pictures. I will lead students to guess which holiday the picture indicates.
2)Showing video. I will present a video to introduce April Foo l’s Day Step 3: While-listening
1)Skimming. Students will be asked to listen to the tape for the first time and find out the main idea of the passage.
2)Scanning. I will read the passage for the students and they need to fill in the table on the blackboard.
Step 4: Post-listening
Students will be asked to do a survey in groups.
Step 5: Summary and homework
Summarize what they have learned in this class and I will supplement the missing parts.
Homework:
Retell the passage to their parents.
