托福独立写作六篇高分范文推荐写作题目
托福独立写作:六篇高分范文推荐写作题目:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People spend too much money on their pets even though there can be other good ways to spend money. Give details and examples to support your response. 人们花了太多的钱在宠物身上,而实际上有其他更好的消费方式,用细节和例子支撑你的观点。
写作范文With the rise of the middle class, more and more people spend money on things that are not essential to their daily needs. As the average wealth of households has increased, many trends have emerged. One trend that has appeared recently in my neighborhood is the increase in the amount of money people spend on their pets, and for me this is definitely the truth. The reason why people spend too much money on their pets is because they believe their pets to be more than just animals. They assign to them many human characteristics. This does not mean that I do not like pets. I love pets. My father is a biologists and growing up our house was always filled with lots of strange and unique pets. Pets play a very important role in families and I think we should take care of animals. I love volunteering for the local animal shelter and helping find homes for stray pets. I like taking care of animals and I will be the first to help an animal in need. I do not, however, believe that we should treat pets like humans. My neighbors, on the other hand, have a different opinion. They love their dogs, but I think they are a rather extreme when it comes to taking care of their dogs. For example, their dogs have their own feather beds that cost 300 dollars each. I think tha t’s how much all of the furniture in my bedroom costs! My neighbors claim that their dogs have back problems and that the dogs need these beds. I am not sure the dogs realize this, because last time I visited my neighbors I saw that the dogs had ripped a bunch of holes in these beds. Maybe humans think these dog beds are more comfortable, but I highly doubt that dogs know the difference between a several hundred dollar mattress and a ten dollar mattress. Buying these kinds of luxury items for pets is very silly.Spending exorbitant amounts of money on one’s pet is not only pointless, but it’s also wasteful. It’s pointless because pets can’t determine the quality of an object. It’s wasteful, because there are so many better things on which to spendone’s money. Take for example the animal shelter. Rather than spending 300 dollars on a fancy mattress, my neighbors could have donated that money to the animal shelter. The animal shelter helps find pets homes and helps control the local animal population. Before the animal shelter was set up, my town was overrun with feral cats and stray dogs. Now, thanks to the shelter, those animals have been taken off the streets. If my neighbors loved animals so much, they would try and help as many as they could instead of wasting all of their money on their dogs.I believe people today spend too much money on their pets. I love animals, but I believe there are better ways to spend one’s money. Spending a lot of money on pets is extravagant and senseless.写作题目:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: People will spend less time on cooking food in twenty years. 人们在20年之内,会减少在烹饪食物上的时间,是否认同?写作范文Food is typically one of the most important parts of a person’s day. “When, what, and where will I eat?”are questions people all over the world ask themselves every day. In twenty years, these questions will remain, but people will not spend less time cooking their own food for several reasons. To begin, food is obviously important to people. People enjoy food that tastes good to them and relish a home-cooked meal. As technology advances and tasks at work are completed more efficiently, people find they have more leisure time. During the extra leisure time, families might begin to cook meals together as an activity to connect with one another. Preparing home-cooked meals is a timeless activity that families participate in and enjoy. For example, families gather for large home-cooked meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas in the United States. These family gatherings are a way for families to reconnect and catch up over a meal.Secondly, it is economical for someone to cook their own meal. Instead of going out to lunch to buy food, people will continue to pack their lunches and eat leftovers. Packing lunches and finishing left overs is not only a great way to save money, but will reduce excess and unnecessary environmental waste, especially if the person is using reusable containers to carry his food. Cooking your own food will not only beimportant in twenty years; it’s important now! With populations skyrocketing all around the world, it has never been more important to reduce unnecessary environmental waste to sustain our world for future generations. Finally, as rates of obesity continue to rise, fast food and eating out is beginning to get a ‘bad rap.’Health is a high priority. When someone cooks themselves a meal, he is completely aware of what is being added, as well as the hygiene of the food because he purchased it. In other words, he is familiar with the food before he eats it. Being conscious of what you are consuming is extremely important, especially in order to stay healthy. Cooking your own food is the best way to maintain your weight and this will certainly not go out of style in twenty years. In twenty years, people will continue to cook their own food. Cooking your own food allows you to spend time with family doing something meaningful for everyone involved, it helps maintain optimal health, and it is economical in many aspects.写作题目Some people think that it is an important part of a child's education to go on a field trip (for example, museums), other people think a child's time is better spent learning in a classroom at school. Which do you prefer? 有人认为实地考察对孩子的教育很重要,例如去博物馆,而另一些人认为孩子最好在教室里学习,你更认同哪种观点?写作范文I would never suggest that students do their learning entirely through field trips, but I think field trips are an indispensable part of learning.First of all, field trips can make children more enthusiastic about learning. Few children look forward to sitting in a classroom all day listening to lectures, regardless of how interesting the material might be. Field trips do two things to make learning more palatable to kids: they provide a break from the monotony of class, and they give children an opportunity to absorb information in more direct and interesting ways. Trips to science museums are a good example. Instead of reading about planets, kids can see planets projected in vivid color in a planetarium. Instead of reading about sound waves, they can see how sound travels through a series of tubes.Second of all, classroom learning does not prepare people for the real world. Someone who does well studying a subject in class doesn’t necessarily have the ability to solve real-world problems. Take my aunt who attended business school, for example. Even though she spent three years studying the ins and outs of business theory, she was completely overwhelmed when it came time to start her own business. In the end, she turned to a friend with real-world experience for help. This person never went to business school, but because they had been through the trials of running a start-up several times, they could give her practical advice. Field trips bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world experience, so they can definitely add something to a child’s education.Granted, some types of information are better absorbed inside a classroom. Mathematics, for example, doesn’t benefit so much from out-of-classroom learning. However, this does not mean that field trips are not important for those studying subjects like mathematics. In these cases, it may be especially important to take field trips so that students can connect their theoretical knowledge to real things. Learning about fractals, for instance, students can take a trip to see some fractals in nature, like those found in certain plants and animals. Learning about Fibonacci numbers, students can go to the beach to collect shells that follow the sequence to form logarithmic spirals.Field trips should never compose the bulk of schooling. However, they can supplement classroom learning by making education fun, impactful, and relevant. Because of this, they are still an essential part of any child’s education.写作题目:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement. Movies and television have more negative effects than positive effects on the way young people behave. 电影和电视对年轻人带来的消极影响大于积极影响,是否认同?写作范文Movies and television are often accused of affecting young people adversely. Thus some people conclude that the negative effects of entertainment media far outweigh the benefits. I disagree.Admittedly, entertainment media has had certain negative effects on children. Increasing scenes of violence and pornography have caused imitation amongteenagers. Since teenagers are particularly impressionable at that age, anything they are exposed to could seriously impacts their perception of reality. According to a recent survey conducted by the Chinese Adolescent Delinquency Association, after polling hundreds of young criminals aged 12 to18, most respondents claimed that they copied violent behavior learned from television shows or movies. Thus, to some extent, TV and movies are responsible for the problematic behavior of some teenagers. However, television and movies also benefit children. For one thing, educational TV programs and documentaries are instrumental in teaching children in an interesting way. Unlike textbooks and ordinary class activities, movies provide can teach children about subjects in different and more interactive ways. Take my sister for example. She is majoring in zoology. According to her, watching the Discovery Channel as a little girl first made her interested in nature and animals. The Discovery Channel’s vivid pictures and lively footage helped her gain more knowledge about a variety of rare species and learn to appreciate the beauty of wildlife. Without the aid of television, the tedious description from textbooks would have hardly aroused any interest in my sister when she was young. In addition, movies and television shows provide young people with a temporary escape from their stressful lives, full of studying. Entertainment movies can inspire creative thinking in children and teach them important values in an interesting way. By seeing flying cars in the Matrix, children can think more about future innovations in technology. Seeing martial arts in Kung Fu Panda has even made children more interested in the traditional art and history of China. From the Harry Potter series, children learn the importance of courage and friendship. All in all, despite a few isolated cases of negative influence, I believe that the overall impact of television and movies is positive. 题目(Topic):Some people believe that the best way to solve environmental problems is to increase the cost of fuel for cars and other vehicles. Others think that there are better ways to achieve this goal. What is your opinion? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.范文(Essay):英文版(English Version):In my opinion, increasing the cost of fuel for cars and other vehicles is an effective way to address environmental problems. Higher fuel prices can encourage people to use public transportation, carpool, or even consider alternative methods of commuting, which can significantly reduce carbon emissions and alleviate environmental damage.Firstly, raising the cost of fuel makes public transportation a more appealing option. When fuel prices are high, people are more likely to choose buses, trains, or subways for their daily commute. This increased usage of public transportation not only reduces traffic congestion but also decreases the overall carbon footprint of a community.Secondly, higher fuel prices can promote carpooling among commuters. Carpooling allows multiple individuals to share a ride in onevehicle, thereby reducing the number of cars on the road. Fewer cars mean less pollution and reduced consumption of fossil fuels, leading to a healthier environment.Additionally, expensive fuel can drive innovation and adoption of eco-friendly vehicles, such as electric cars and hybrids. As fuel prices rise, the demand for fuel-efficient and electric vehicles increases, prompting automobile manufacturers to invest more in environmentally friendly technologies. This shift towards cleaner transportation options is crucialin combating environmental problems caused by traditionalgasoline-powered vehicles.中文版(Chinese Version):在我看来,提高汽车燃料和其他交通工具的成本是解决环境问题的有效途径。

官方真题TPO1托福独立写作题目文本+满分范文官方真题Official1托福独立写作题目原文:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? At universities and colleges, sports and social activities are just as important as classes and libraries and should receive equal financial support. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.官方真题Official1托福独立写作满分范文1:As people regard education as an essential part of life more and more, where the educational budgets should be devoted to rises to a hot topic. Some people hold the view that money is supposed to be put into classes and libraries, while others believe that an equal amount of financial support should begiven to sports and social activities at universities and colleges. From my perspective, sports and social activities make a complete campus life together with classes and libraries, so I firmly agree with the statement. First of all, playing sports makes a person healthy and energetic to face the future challenges. It can be seen everywhere that more and more students wear glasses, and too much reading along with facing computers for a long time makes it even worse. Then they may suffer from eye problems or other physical diseases. The only way of improving this case is to encourage them to take some time relaxing in sports. Furthermore, playing a ball game together is the best method to promote teamwork spirit. After a period of playing together, members will develop a way to solve problems and achieve their common goal. Therefore, sports strengthen ones body as well as enhance the spirit of teamwork. Besides, social activities can help foster abilities that students cannot gain during classes or self-studying. Though being smart and diligent, some students are called pedants because of not being able to exchange ideas with others freely. Only if a person is equipped with knowledge and is capable of expressing it can he become competent. So, it is significant for them to take part in social activities with the aim oflifting their communication skills. When pedants are forced to talking with others, its a great chance for them to make new friends and express their thoughts, which may be an opportunity for their future career. Last but not the least is that the places provided for sports and social activities are in need of money. It is common that the school will spend a large sum of money to purchase updated books and facilities to fulfill the requirements of classes and libraries. However, finding a suitable place to play sports or hold social activities is always hard. Take my university as an example, if I want to read a book, I can easily find a seat in the library, but if I want to run for half an hour, the crowded gym will just turn me into a upset mood. Then, requiring the same amount of financial support to ameliorate the condition is just reasonable. In a nutshell, financial support should be contributed to sports and social activities just like classes and libraries, for they help with strengthening bodies, making progress in communication skills and they are in shortage of fund.官方真题Official1托福独立写作满分范文2:Some people claim that universities and colleges should not spend a great deal of money on sports and social activities, as their budgets should prioritize classes and libraries. However, as educational institutions, universities and colleges have an obligation to provide a wide range of knowledge to their students to help them develop academically and socially. An increasing number of businesses have high demand for people who are not only specialists in their fields, but also skilled in social interaction. With the ever changing science and technology, no task can be fulfilled by a single person and given the need for collaboration, social skills and team spirit are indispensable qualities for success. Clearly, sports and social activities in universities and colleges provide students with the perfect settings to practice their social skills. By playing football in a team or joining in a contest, for instance, students can develop a sense of belonging and experience team spirit, both of which are quite essential for their future careers. Aside from fostering social skills and team spirit, sports and social activities can greatly help students release their pressures. Nowadays, students not only have to finish all the tasks assigned by teachers, but also have to attend many extra-curricular training courses. Even the most enthusiastic people feel tired and exhausted if they keep this busy schedule for a pretty long time. For example, when I was in high school, I would playbasketball with my classmates. I could always get good refreshment and resume schoolwork with higher efficiency later on. Admittedly, academic education will always be at the heart of a university. In universities, sports and social activities should by no means take the place of a focus on academic study. However, what I believe is that universities and colleges are supposed to invest in academics as well as sports and social activities. For instance, in the United States, almost all famous universities have plenty of sports teams and social groups, and universities provide adequate financial support for these events. Both of these fields are highly valued. For these reasons, I maintain that universities and colleges should spend enough money on academic education and social movements to prepare students for their future development.

(1)Which one do you prefer, to solve problems on your own experience and knowledge, or to ask others for advice?范文:As knowledge and experience serve as twin towers in problem-solving, one is often presented with two major paths that pave the way for final fulfillment, either to wrack his brain, just like what happened to Newton, siting for many years under an apple tree and eventually figuring out ond of the greatest universal rules that govern the whole globe, or to seek for o thers’ wisdom through their advice, just as in the case of Benjamin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Both ways work. When a practical goal is involved, however, Benjamin Franklin may best be regarded as a role model in this respect and asking people for advice often turn out to be the prime alternative.Experience and knowledge borrowed or learned from others’advice contribute greatly to effectiveness and efficiency for a goal-accomplishment. Not all experience and knowledge related to problem-solving can be obtained by personal effort alone due to limitations of mind and capabilities of each individual. A single thought in someone’s mind is, more often than not, far less shining comparedwit h group’s wisdom. That explains the famous old saying that one sees further when standing upon the shoulders’ of past great giants; that explains why a great leader is always with greater minds; that also explains why teamwork in cooperation is highly emphasized in the 21st century. Brainstorm and exchange of ideas between different thoughts never fail to enhance capabilities of each individual involved, a team, a company, an institution, a country, or even the entire global village.Asking others’advice instead of getting everything done on one’s own promotes democracy and communication too. In terms of democracy, it is necessary to give others rights and chances to speak since the problem may concern them in different ways, and their saying in turn reflects our respect toward freedom of speech as well as their wisdom. In terms of communication, idea exchange sometimes focuses more than solutions, and hereby better mutual understanding about perspectives, principles, practicalities and personalities of each other.Admittedly turning to others for help and suggestion by no means refers to absolute and irresponsible dependence. Consideration upon different thoughts and ideas broadens our mind, enlarges our vision, furthers understanding, enhances more effective and efficient brainstorm, and stresses mutual respect in groups and communities, which undoubtedly gives rise to better, if not the best solutions. As is paraphrased from John F Kenedy, brainstormed, there is little we cannotdo while divided, there is little we can do.(2)After they complete their university studies, some students live in their hometowns. Others live in different towns and cities. Which do you think is better? Give reasons for your answer.范文:After they complete their university studies, some students prefer to live in their hometowns while others choose to live in different towns or cities. Everybody has his own reasons for his preference. After my graduation, I will go back and live in my home city. I have made this decision because of the following reasons.Firstly, my home city is a big city that can offer a lot. There are plenty of opportunities for work, many big libraries for studies, several different museums for visit, and numerous cinemas, theaters and centers for entertainment. When I go back there, I will have no difficulty in finding a job suitable for me and I can make use of all the facilities available there. Secondly, if I go back to my home city, I can look after my parents. I take this into consideration because I am their only child and they are now weak and getting on in age. If I live in the same city with them, I can visit them very often and help them whenever it is necessary.Thirdly, if I live in my home city, I will have a lot of friends, schoolmates and relatives to visit and to turn to for help when I need. Of course, I could get acquainted with many people and make many friends if I were to go to live in a strange place, but that takes time. If I go back to my home city, everybody will be waiting for me and I will be able to settle down comfortably without any trouble and waste of time.In short, my choice is based on a careful consideration of my home city and my family. I think it is a better or sensible choice; in a certain sense, it is a must.(3)Neighbors are the people who live near us. In your opinion, what are the qualities of a good neighbor? Use specific details and examples in your answer.范文:If you have a good neighbor, you are a lucky person. You have someone who cares about your needs and your property, who is helpful in the little day-to-day situations that come up, and who is supportive in times of crisis.A good neighbor is someone who, for instance, understands that your children may occasionally run across his lawn,- even though you tell them not to. He'll realize that children can be careless about things like that, and he won't make a big fuss about it unless it becomes a regularthing. In the same vein, he knows that you'll understand if some of the trash from his trash cans blows across into your yard. In other words, he is sensitive to the unintentional things that can happen. He doesn't make a big deal about them.A good neighbor is also respectful of your property. For example, she asks your permission before doing anything that interferes with what's yours. This means she wouldn't plant a huge tree in between your houses without asking how you felt about it. If she wanted to put up a fence, she would let you know first. She might work with you to decide where it should be placed. Maybe the two of you would even split the cost.A good neighbor would lend you some milk if you ran out. She'd give you a ride to work if your car was broken, and let your children stay at her house in the evening if you got stuck working overtime. You would do the same for her. Both of you would help make the other's life easier. When something really awful happens to you, like a death in the family, a good neighbor will volunteer to help in any way he can. This could mean something small, like making some casseroles to put in your freezer to feed visiting relatives. Or it could mean something big, like helping you get through the sadness of the funeral.I think only someone who has experienced a bad neighbor can really appreciate a good one! A good neighbor can be a good friend. He or shecan make all the difference in the world to your life.(4)Some people prefer to eat at food stands or restaurants. Other people prefer to prepare and eat food at home. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.范文:Some people like to eat out at food stands and restaurants, while others like to prepare food at home. Often it depends on the kind of lifestyle people have. Those with very busy jobs outside the house don’t always have time to cook. They like the convenience of eating out. Overall, though, it is cheaper and healthier to eat at home. While eating in restaurants is fast, the money you spend can add up. When I have dinner at a restaurant with a friend, the bill is usually over twenty dollars. I can buy a lot of groceries with that much money. Even lunch at a fast-food stand usually costs five or six dollars for one person. That’s enough to feed the whole family at home.Eating at home is better for you, too. Meals at restaurants are often high in fat and calories, and they serve big plates of food-much more food-than you need to eat at one meal. If you cook food at home, you have more control over the ingredients. You can use margarine instead of butter on your potatoes, or not put so much cheese on top of your pizza. At home, you can control your portion size. You can serve yourself as little as you want. In a restaurant, you may eat a full plate of food "because you paid for it."It’s true that eating out is convenient. You don’t have to shop, or cook, or clean up. But real home cooking does not have to take up a lot of time. There are lots of simple meals that don’t take long to make. In fact, they’re faster than eating out, especially if you think of the time you spend driving to a restaurant, parking, waiting for a table,, waiting for service, and driving home. Both eating at restaurants and cooking at home can be satisfying. Both can taste good and be enjoyed with family and friends. I prefer cooking at home because of the money and health issues, but people will make the choice that fits their lifestyle best.(5)题目:It has recently been announced that a new movie theater may be built in your neighborhood. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.范文:A New Movie TheaterEntertainment is an important part of everyone’s life. We all need to take time to relax insgroupsto live healthy lives and do our workefficiently. It is easier to relax when an appropriate form of entertainment is convenient and close by. Therefore, I would support a proposal to build a new movie theater in my neighborhood.Entertainment places can bring some disadvantages to a community such as increased traffic and noise, but I believe the advantages of a new movie theater would outweigh these concerns. For one thing, the people in my neighborhood would save time. When they wanted to see a movie they could simply walk to the new theater rather than spend time traveling by bus or car. In addition, it would be safer for children to visit a nearby movie theater rather than one in some other part of the city. And finally, a new theater might attract other businesses, such as restaurants and coffee shops, where the people of my neighborhood could go to relax. In short, a new movie theater in the neighborhood would increase the number of entertainment options for the residents. They could enjoy themselves more easily without spending a lot of time traveling to another part of the city. For these reasons I would support the building of a movie theater in my neighborhood.译文:一家新电影院娱乐是每个人生活中一个重要的组成部分。

Use specific reasons and examples to support your choice..范文I think the most important discovery that has been the most beneficial for people in my country is the invention of Internet. So far as I can tell, the Internet has been beneficial to people around the globe. My view is a commonsense one, based on the fact that the Web is a vast storehouse of information and opinion, which can be scientific, literary, political, sporting or sexual. Anyone with access to a computer and a dialup connection can unlock the door and trawl through its offerings. The Internet can be used as a broad base of knowledge that contributes to the educational system. Students and teachers benefit from the use of the Internet, as well as administrators and others outside of formal education. Students benefit because the Internet provides a resource to supplemental information for any subject. Educators benefit because the Internet provides a vast knowledge base to prepare for topics. People are not only learning from the Internet, they are contributing and sharing knowledge through networked communities. The Internet is the advancement of education for all its users.Internet can deliver better customer services to people. The Internet is changing the way we do business. Using Internet broadcasting, we are able to target the right audience, prepare and present a technical presentation on a popular topic, interact with new customers, and collect hundreds of highly qualified leads. As Internet companies continue to find innovative ways to leverage the capabilities of the Internet for businesses, the more we will learn how to provide optimal solutionsfor customers. Which in turn, will greatly benefit people. The Internet today is a way to transfer and share information. On the whole, it is a benefit to individuals of all kinds. We do have problems surrounding the Internet that need to be solved, but as with all new technologies there are debates and opinions. Since the Internet technology is spreading, it will soon become as popular as all other forms of communication. If you have not tried it, do so.假如时光能倒流,你最希望对回到什么时候,最希望到什么地方去?If you could go back to some time and place in the past, when and where would you go? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your choice.范文Till now, there is only one thing that makes me feel repentant of. My girlfriend died in Japan, and at that time I was doing my TOEFL test. If I could go back to some time and place in the past, I chooseto go back to January 19th 2002...I will use a story to show the reasons for choosing this time in the past. My girlfriend's was Christina. Her father is Japanese, and her mother is Chinese. That is why she looks as beautiful as an angel. Last winter vacation, I was preparing for the TOEFL test. Of course, I did not pay enough time for her as usual. I only saw her for twice a month. The night before the TOEFL test, she came to my house. I enjoyed her cooking, and everything looked fine as usual. The next morning, she cooked the breakfast for me.Before I left, she kissed me and said " Jackey, good luck. I love you!" I replied:"Thanks, honey! I love you, too." The test goes fine. After the test, my cell phone rang as I turned it on. It is one of my best friends Moon. He said " Jackey, Christina went back to Japan. She tried to kill herself. Now she is in the hospital and she isin danger period. You must arrive to the airport in three minutes. The visa, passport and the air ticket are in the car. You have to come to Japan right now. We will see you in Japan!"When I saw her, she said," I think your business is more important than me. I do not think you need me any more! Goodbye, forever." She sleeps forever. If I go back to the time, I will stay with her and spend much more time on her. I even can drop my business. In fact, it is impossible for backing that time! Christina is died. There is not another Christina for me, but will have four times per year for the TOEFL test. The lost would never be back.你喜欢早起工作还是晚起工作到很晚?Some people prefer to get up early in the morning and start the day's work. Others prefer to get up later in the day and work untillate at night. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examplesto support your choice.范文Some people prefer to get up early in the morning and start the day’s work. Others, however, prefer to get up later in the day and work until late at night. As far as I am concerned, getting up early is a good habit because it is good for health and is easy to take care of everyday works. In the first place, everyone knows that getting up early is a very good habit for our health. You can enjoy the fresh air in the early morning, and also you can get a good night sleep during the quiet midnight time. Moreover, if you get up early, before go to work, you still have enough time to do some exercises, such as walking, running and riding the bike. Without doubt, all of the exercises do help your health. In the second place, it is a little bit easy to take care of everyday works if people get up early. For example, if everyone in the family gets up early, wife will have enough time to prepare the breakfast for the whole family, children will have enough time to catch the school bus, husband will never forget to change his dirty shirt. Everything is on the order.Admittedly, some people who work until midnight and get uplater in the day claim that working in the midnight is more efficient and can concentrate the work without distraction. However, the advantages of getting up early carry more weight than those of getting up later. To sum up, from what I have discussed above, we can safely draw a conclusion that getting up early can benefit not only because it is good for ours health but also it is easy for us to take care of everyday works. Therefore, I prefer to get up early in the morning and start the day's work.。

1.Do you agree or disagree governments have done enough to educate the people the importance of the good nutrition and healthy eating.A balanced lifestyle and healthy eating are essential things for a government to develop and advance that they are so deeply relevant for a great nation to be.In my country,I think my government is not doing enough to educate its citizens to keep a balanced lifestyle and to eat healthily.Firstly, the government emphasizes more on the development of economy than a sound lifestyle. To be more concise,it always makes attempts to boost the growth of economy trying to prove that my country is a great one and people living on this land are happy and content. However, economy progression is not a sound indicator to this regard due to the fact that people are expected to work harder and to sacrifice their spare time in order to fulfill the anticipation of the company and the government.A balanced life means people do not just work for their career or jobs, but also for their pleasures, for their hobbies and for their family. In the society, conversely, people are educated to use all their time to work diligently at the expense of anything in their life.A so unbalanced lifestyle it is that people are under pressure, such as construction workers needing to finish building projects as fast as possible so that they can earn more money;students trying to ace the test so that they can earn more time for their tests by sacrificing the time of exercising and spending time with their friends and family.Hardly do they take a rest to lead a balanced life because they are not educated to do so for a better living. Secondly, the government tends to ignore the fast development of unhealthy chain store. The food industry has a tremendous influence on the issue of healthy eating. However,it is so powerful that this great empire spends millions of dollars on advertisement, medium, movies or even on schools, for they are sponsors of certain school activities. So,most of the people are not educated well enough to eat a diet that is beneficial and wholesome to their physical condition. What they are“educated”instead is to eat in a fancy place and get(用这个字,是要表示轻蔑之意)their meals as fast as possible as in chain fast-food restaurants. As we all know that fruits, vegetables and water are essential elements for a healthy eating habit, yet the government seldom educates us to consume those things in our daily life;instead, unhealthy chain stores are taking the hand of the government in educating us what seems right to eat due to the ignorance of the rampant development of ill-nourished food industry.Admittedly, some people may still think our government has done its role of educating citizens to eat healthy and keep a balanced life. For instance,in the school, students are taught what nutrients are vital to our physical condition and some of the governmental organizations, taking Healthy and Sanitary Department for example. It is holding some activities to teach citizens what to eat to keep in a good shape and live healthily. However,to me,this is not enough.Greasy food and sugary beverages are still sold in the school due to its high profits.Salty food, high carbohydrate diets and fried products are not a rare sight when people go to supermarkets or when they turn on the TV or read the magazines. In conclusion, even though my government is trying its best to educate people to eat right in some aspects, this is not sufficient and not effectual. The government is still trying to focus more on the development of economy and people are still bombarded with the advertisements of the food industry,so people eat by the“trend,”rather than by the“nutrition facts”from food.Hence,I think my government is not educating their people enough concerning a balanced life and a healthy eating concept.2.Some people think that giving students time during a class to discuss ideas with each other is a good way to help students learn;others think giving students time for discussion is ineffective or a waste of time.Which idea do you agree, and why?中文提纲:(1)学习是一个需要思考的过程(2)只有讨论才能知道学生们薄弱的环节(3)讨论可以锻炼学生们总结自己观点的能力Among all the techniques that can be applied to the teaching process during class, discussion may be the most controversy one. There is a dilemma for teachers to choose between conducting a seminar and delivering a lecture without any interaction.Yet from my perspective, discussion is indeed a more preferable way to instill knowledge into the students’mind.First of all, effective learning requires critical thinking. In other words,a concept cannot be fully absorbed without questioning it. However, during an ordinary class session, students are usually too busy remembering all the terms and formulas they are taught and therefore lack opportunities to further deepen their understanding.Under such circumstances, students may need discussions owing to the fact that such procedure can verify the students’grasp of the lesson. It is even more crucial for them to have a seminar or related debate sessions in literature classes, for literary interpretation is not simply confined to a single answer. If teachers intend to achieve a better teaching result, they should provide discussions for students to exchange their ideas. What’s more, participating in a discussion is also an indispensable way for students to reflect on what have learned.A typical class size usually consists of one teacher and dozens of students, which is arduous for teacher to examine the comprehension of students one by one. Additionally,it is often easier to find the underlying mistakes from others’prospective.Take history class as an example. As a subject which demands a good memory, history can sometimes be tough if student fails to remember a coherent chronology.Nevertheless, once they are accustomed to class discussion, they will be spontaneously focus on historical facts they are not as familiar with as others are in order to catch up with other stly, discussions can not only strengthen one’s understanding during class, but can improve their communication skills as well.A discussion,as opposed to a monologue, involves different people to convey their respective ideas. In this way, students are supposed to persuade others into their beliefs. It is actually a demanding task for them to form their logical opinions and to defend against others.Through such training, one can acquire a comprehensive development compared to what they may learn from hard cramming.Teaching is never merely a one-direction process. What students need is to learn effectively so as to receive a superior acquisition of knowledge.Thereupon,to conduct discussion during class would definitely be a favorable idea for students to practice their dialectic thinking and to enhance their communication skills. It is also a way to rectify their possible mistakes through argumentation. All in all,I would insist that teachers should use discussions as a tool in their classes.3.Do you agree or disagree with the following statement:Some people believe if it is a good idea to use cameras to watch and record people's activities in public can increase safety;others think it has too many negative consequences and should not be use.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? In order to be well-informed, a person must get information from many different news resourc es.Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.范文:In modern society, media was almost everywhere. At the beginning of one day, I read a newspaper when eating breakfast. On the mass transportation to office, I listen to radio programs until the subway arrive my destination. A high school boy next to me is playing an I-phone, and people on the bus read books, journals, and magazines. I usually skimp newspapers and magazines when passing by a convenient store. Actually, there are too many sources providing information. I take advantage of them every day, but I still do not feel well-informed, because there is too much information filling into my thinking. So that is the reason why I disagree with the statement that a person must get information from various news sources to be well-informed.First of all, there are too many sources, and most of them give segment information. The segment information might be misleading our judgment. For example, the weather reports on channels always have different opinions. Sometimes a programs says there would be rain tomorrow with 30 percentage raining rate, the other provided that it would be cloudy tomorrow and possible a sunny day. Their forecasts are different and might be true. Unfortunately, people are more likely to get all of them, which made us harder to make a decision fo r tomorrow’s plan. Hence, people get information from different sources might mislead their judgment and be more difficult to be well-informed.Second, if the people have many sources for information, they will have no time to be well-informed, because they must spend more time integrating them. For example, when I was in the university, I did a study on earth quake and tsunami. I gathered the information from textbooks, national geographic magazines, and discovery channel, as wellas the internet. I spent many time organizing these information, and got different knowledge from different media. From the textbook, I knew causes of earth quake and its relationship with tsunami. Then, from the discovery channel, I learned the nascent point of view from well-known researchers. I also had the various theories on the internet and finally found they were partially obsolete. After I gathered all the information, I found that to integrate them into a study was really a task, since there was too much information. As a result, I needed more time to be well-informed, and I would rather to take a geological class about the topic. In sum, there are too many sources providing information. We could spend a lot of time to absorb it all, but the information might be different from different sources. This might make us misleading and lose our judgment. In addition, information from different sources might be too diverged to merge. With that, we have to spend more time on organization. Therefore, many different news sources are appropriate for a person who wants to be well-informed.托福独立写作:互联网Some people say that the Internet provides people with a lot of valuable information. Others think access to much information creates problems.Which view do you agree with?范文:The Internet is a great invention because it disseminates information freely. Freedom of information is in the interest of a country and its citizens, but, in light of the information anarchy onthe Internet, people need to learn and understand how to evaluate anduse the information they find at their fingertips. The Internet promotes freedom of information and freedom of speech, which are integral part of a successful modern democratic society. With innumerable news sources at their disposal, citizens have the opportunity to educate themselves, and this knowledge will allow them to contribute to the progression of their society. Similarly, the ability to consult different viewpoints, especially those diverging from their own, will allow people engage in meaningful dialogue with othercitizens. The result of this continued discourse will be a more open minded and also tolerant society. As a vehicle of communication the Internet will connect people of the same interests and the same concerns. Thus connected citizens will be encouraged to work together and theywill become active participants of society rather than passive subjects.Critics of the Internet's free flow of information are concerned that people will fall victim to bad or rather incorrect information and act on it. This concern is warranted in so far that the Internet is intrinsically anarchic, and anybody with a computer can create Website and post information thereon. As a result, it can be very difficult to determine what information is correct or reliable and which is not. However, difficult as it may seem, there are ways that one can navigate the information jungle of the Internet and arrive at conclusions. In order to do so one has to learn to valuate sources of information. For example, the Website of a research scientist at a major university orthat of a well-known non-profit organization is a more reliable sourceof information than the personal Website of a senior school student.。
