一、学习目标:
1. 学会谈论过去发生的事情;
2. 学会过去进行时(Past Progressive Tense): was/ were doing。

3. 一般来说,begin to do和begin doing可以互换,但在以下三种情况下,用to do。

1)主语不是指人,而是it等。

如:It began to rain.
2)begin后接表示心理活动的词。

如begin to know还有believe, wonder, think等。

3)begin本身是ing形式,为避免重复后接to do。

即:beginning to do
heavily adv.很大程度上的,大量的,可修饰V-rain, snow,heavy修饰n.
4. suddenly adv.突然;忽然可置于句首、句中、句末

区别:
1)由when引导的时间状语从句,主句用过去进行时,从句应用一般过去时;
由while引导的时间状语从句,主句用一般过去时,从句应用过去进行时。

Eg. When the teacher came in, we were talking.
当此句改变主从句的位置时,则为:While we were talking, the teacher came in.
2) 如果从句和主句的动作同时发生,两句都用过去进行时的时候,多用while 引导。

如:They were singing while we were dancing.
