Dear Peter,
I'm excited to receive the invitation to your afternoon tea party this Sunday. As it's the first time that I've been invited
to such an event,I would like to ask about the basic manners for an English tea party.
Firstly, could you please tell me what I should wear to the party?Am I supposed to wear a shirt and a tie?I think it may be impolite to show up in sportswear.Secondly,I'm wondering if I am expected to bring a gift to the party.I don't want to be rude with empty st but not least,I'm curious about how I can behave properly at the table, including where to sit and when to start drinking.
I would be very thankful for your suggestions. And I can't wait to enjoy the tea party with you!
Best wishes, Li Hua。
