Middle School English Writing Competition Briefing
On April 15, 2022, our school held the Middle School English Writing Competition in the school auditorium. The competition aimed to enhance students' writing skills, stimulate their creativity, and promote their interest in English learning.
The competition was open to all students from grades seven to nine. Participants were required to write an original essay on the given topic: "The Importance of Education in Today's Society." The essays were judged based on content, organization, language use, and creativity.
A total of 50 students took part in the competition, and the essays were evaluated by a panel of five English teachers. The judges were impressed by the high quality of the essays submitted, which reflected the students' critical thinking skills and their ability to express their ideas effectively in English.
After much deliberation, the judges selected the top three essays as the winners of the competition. The first-place winner was Wang Ming from Grade Eight, the second-place winner was Zhang Wei from Grade Seven, and the third-place winner was Li Na from Grade Nine.
In addition to individual awards, the judges also awarded a prize to the class with the highest overall performance in the competition. The winning class was Class 8A, whose students demonstrated exceptional writing skills and teamwork throughout the competition.
Overall, the Middle School English Writing Competition was a great success. It provided students with an opportunity to showcase their writing talents and receive recognition for their hard work. We look forward to organizing similar competitions in the future to continue to encourage and support our students' English learning and development.
