One of the most iconic customs of the Lantern Festival is the display of lanterns. Lanterns of various sizes and shapes are hung up in streets, parks, and public spaces, creating a brilliant and magical scenery. Traditional lanterns are made of paper or silk, with intricate designs and vibrant colors. They come in different shapes, such as animals, flowers, or toys, each carrying its own symbolic meaning. Another famous custom of the Lantern Festival is the lion and dragon dances. These traditional dance performances have a long history and are believed to bring good luck and protect against evil spirits. The lion dance involves two performers, one controlling the

In addition to lanterns and traditional food, another important custom of the Lantern Festival is the guessing game of lantern riddles. People write riddles on pieces of paper and attach them to lanterns. Visitors to the lantern displays can try to solve the riddles, and those who succeed will be awarded a small prize. Lantern riddles are usually in the form of short poems or puzzles, challenging the wit and intelligence of the participants.
