My Good Habits and Bad Habits
Hi there! I'm going to tell you about some of my good habits and bad habits. We all have things we do well and not so well. That's just part of being human!
Let me start with some of my good habits. One really good habit I have is that I always brush my teeth twice a day - once in the morning after breakfast and once at night before bed. My parents taught me when I was little how important it is to brush to keep my teeth healthy and avoid cavities. I also floss every night which my dentist says is really great. I like having fresh, clean breath and a bright smile!
Another good habit is that I get lots of exercise and fresh air.
I ride my bike or scooter to school instead of taking the bus. It's about a mile away so I get exercise going there and coming back.
I also love playing sports like soccer, basketball and running around at recess every day. Exercise keeps me fit and gives me energy!
I generally eat pretty healthy foods too. For breakfast I'll have whole grain cereal with fruit or oatmeal. I pack a healthy lunch like a sandwich on whole wheat bread, carrot sticks, an apple and a granola bar. I do allow myself one treat per day like a small cookie or slice of cake though! Having fruits and veggies gives me vitamins and nutrients to grow properly.
One more good habit is that I always do my homework right after school before playing. I like to get it done early so I don't have to worry about it. I keep my backpack neat and organized too so I don't lose assignments. Developing good study habits now will really help me later in middle school and high school.
Okay, now I'll admit to some of my bad habits! I have a habit of biting my nails when I'm bored, nervous or just out of habit. I know it's a bad habit because it can spread germs and my nails look ugly when I bite them. I'm trying to break that habit but old habits are really hard to break!
Another bad habit is that sometimes I procrastinate and put things off until the last minute. Like if I have a big project due, I might keep putting it off until right before the deadline. Then I'm really stressed trying to get it all done at the end. I'm working on getting started on big tasks earlier.
I can also be a little disorganized and messy at times. My room gets pretty cluttered and messy because I just toss things around instead of putting them away properly. That drives my parents crazy! I need to get into the habit of cleaning up after myself.
One final bad habit is that I am definitely a night owl! I have a hard time going to bed at a decent hour because I don't feel tired. But then I'm really tired and grumpy in the mornings. I need to work on having a better sleep routine.
So those are some of my good habits and bad habits. I'm pretty normal for a kid - I have a mix of good and bad ones just like everyone. But I'm aware of my habits and know which good ones to keep doing and which bad ones I need to improve. Habits are hard to change but I'll keep working on my bad ones!

My Good Habits and Bad Habits
Hi there! Today I'm going to tell you all about my habits - the good ones and the bad ones. We all have habits, don't we? Some of them are awesome and make our lives better, but some of them are not so great and can actually cause problems. I've got a mix of both kinds!
Let me start with my good habits first. One of my very best habits is that I always try to get enough sleep. My mom says I need about 9-10 hours every night to be a growing kid. I go to bed around 8:30pm and get up at 6:30am on school days. On weekends I sleep in until 8 or 9am. Getting enough sleep helps me have energy, focus better in class, and be in a good mood. It's one of the most important habits!
Another really good habit I have is staying active and exercising. I play soccer three times a week on my school's team. We have practices and games that keep me running around for a couple hours. I also like to go for bike rides, jump on my trampoline, or just play running games in the backyard with my dog. Exercising is so much fun and it keeps me healthy and strong. My doctor says kids need at least an hour of activity every day.
Here's another great habit of mine - I always eat a healthy breakfast in the morning. My mom makes me oatmeal or yogurt with fruit and granola. Sometimes I have whole grain toast with peanut butter too. Eating a nutritious breakfast fuels my body and brain so I can pay attention during my morning classes at school. A lot of my friends skip breakfast, but not me!
Those are some of my good habits, but I definitely have some bad ones too that I need to work on. My biggest bad habit is probably that I spend too much time looking at screens - TV, iPad, video games, you name it. I get reallyreally into whatever show or game I'm watching/playing and hours can go by. My parents are always telling me to get off and go play outside or read a book instead. They say too much screen time isn't good for my eyes, posture, or brain development. I'm trying to limit it but it's hard!
Another bad habit is that I tend to procrastinate on big homework assignments and projects. I'll put them off until the very last minute. Then I'm up late at night scrambling to get everything done before the due date. This causes me a lot of stress that I could avoid if I just spaced the work out over time instead of leaving it all for the end. I need to get better about making a schedule and not procrastinating. Maybe I can set phone reminders to help me stay on track?
One more bad habit is that I don't always listen closely when people are talking to me. I zone out sometimes and get distracted by random thoughts in my own head. Then I have to ask "What was that again?" and the person has to repeat themselves. This habit is pretty rude and makes me seem like I
don't care about what others are saying. From now on, I'm going to work harder on staying focused when someone is speaking to me.
So there you have it - some of my good habits and bad habits! The good ones like getting sleep, exercising, and eating breakfast are helping me be a healthy, happy kid. But those bad habits with screens, procrastinating, and not listening are not so great. I'm going to try my best to keep up the good habits and break the bad ones. Wish me luck! Developing positive, productive habits is so important as we're growing up. What are some of your good and bad habits? We can work on them together!

My Good Habits and Bad Habits
Hi, my name is Eric and I'm going to tell you about some of my good habits and bad habits. First, let me start with the good ones!
One of my very best habits is that I always try to keep my room clean and organized. Every morning before school, I make my bed neatly with the covers pulled up tight. I put away any clothes or toys that might be lying around on the floor. I stack
my books and notebooks on my desk so they look nice and tidy. My mom says I'm one of the most organized kids she knows!
Another really good habit I have is being helpful around the house. Whenever my parents ask me to do a chore like taking out the trash, sweeping the kitchen floor, or folding the laundry, I do it right away without complaining. I even try to do little extra things sometimes without being asked, like setting the table for dinner or making my own snacks so mom doesn't have to. My parents always thank me for being so helpful.
In school, one of my best habits is paying close attention and participating in class. I sit up straight, keep my eyes on the teacher, and raise my hand to answer questions. I try my hardest to stay focused instead of daydreaming or getting distracted. After school, I go straight home and do my homework before playtime so it's out of the way. My teachers tell my parents that I'm a great student.
I also have a very healthy habit of getting lots of exercise and eating nutritious foods. I play sports like soccer, basketball and baseball after school almost every day to stay active. Instead of chips or candy, I prefer healthy snacks like fruits, veggies, yogurt and granola bars. My parents cook balanced meals with protein,
grains and produce for dinner. I've been at a healthy weight my whole life thanks to these good habits.
Those are some of my good habits, but unfortunately I do have some bad habits too that I need to work on. One of my worst habits is biting my nails. I can't seem to stop doing it, even though my parents keep telling me how unsanitary and unattractive it is. My nails always look chewed up and ragged. Sometimes I bite them so much that they start to bleed. I need to break this bad habit once and for all.
Another bad habit is that I have a really hard time waking up in the morning. My mom has to call me

My Good Habits and Bad Habits
Hi there! My name is Sarah and I'm a 6th grader. Today I'm going to tell you all about some of my good habits and bad habits. It's important to have good habits because they can help make your life better and easier. But we all have some bad habits too that we need to try to get rid of. Let me start with the good habits!
One of my very good habits is that I always make my bed first thing in the morning. As soon as I wake up, I pull up the
covers and fluff up the pillows to make my bed look neat and tidy. My mom taught me it's a good idea to make your bed every day because it helps start your day off right and gives you a clean space. Plus it only takes a couple minutes! Making my bed in the morning makes me feel more organized and ready to tackle the rest of my daily routine.
Another excellent habit I have is reading every single night before going to bed. I love getting cozy under my covers with a book and reading for at least 30 minutes. Reading helps expand my vocabulary and imagination. My parents started reading to me when I was just a baby, so I grew up loving books and stories. Now as an older kid, reading before bed helps relax my mind after a busy day of school, homework, and activities. Some nights I read classic novels, while other nights I prefer magazines or comic books. No matter what I read though, this nightly habit is one of my favorites!
One more really good habit is that I try my best to always be on time. I HATE being late to things – it's just so rude and inconsiderate in my opinion. So I make sure to keep track of the time and leave early enough to make it places when I'm supposed to. My parents are sticklers for punctuality too, which has definitely rubbed off on me. They say being on time shows
respect for other people and their time. I always get my homework done right after school so it's not left until the last minute. And if I have an appointment or am meeting friends somewhere, you can bet I'll be there right on time if not five minutes early. Getting into the habit of being punctual will serve me well for the rest of my life.
Those are some of my good daily habits, but I'll admit – I have some bad habits too that I'm trying to work on. One of my worst habits is a really bad one: I bite my nails constantly! I've done it for as long as I can remember. My parents are always telling me how unsanitary and gross it is, not to mention how bad it is for my nails. Whenever I'm watching TV, reading a book, or just spacing out and get a little anxious or nervous, I automatically start gnawing on my nails. It's a terrible nervous habit that I know I need to quit. I've tried tons of methods to stop too – from bitter nail polish to putting bandages on the tips of my fingers. But somehow I just can't seem to break this bad habit, no matter how hard I try!
Another one of my bad habits is that I can be a terrible procrastinator when it comes to big projects or tasks I don't enjoy. I definitely tend to put things off until the very last minute if it's something I'm dreading or finds boring. Then I end up
feeling stressed because I'm scrambling to get it done right before the deadline. You'd think I would learn by now, but I just can't seem to help my procrastinating ways! Take my super volcano model I had to make last year – I waited until the night before it was due to even start on it. I was up until midnight working frantically on painting the papier mâché mountain and adding all the safety features. My project ended up being just okay instead of awesome because I ran out of time at the end. I really need to get better about stopping this bad habit of procrastination!
Finally, my last bad habit is that I can be a little disorganized and messy sometimes. I'm not horrible, but I do tend to let things pile up in my room or make a mess and then eventually clean it in one big burst. It would be way better if I just stayed on top of mypickingup after myself as I go. My backpack is a pit of crumpled papers and missing pencils, and you don't even want to see under my bed! I need to get more bins and storage containers to keep my spaces tidy. A little bit of organization would go a long way towards ending this bad habit.
Well, there you have it – some of my good habits and bad habits laid out for you. I'm pretty proud of the good habits I've built like making my bed, reading nightly, and being punctual.
Those are habits that make me feel accomplished and in control. But I've also got some bad habits like nail biting, procrastinating, and messiness that I'm still working on overcoming. I guess having a mix of both good and bad habits is just part of being human! We're all works in progress, right? The key is recognizing your bad habits and making an effort to improve. I'm going to keep up my good habits and chip away atbreaking those bad ones. Wish me luck!

My Good Habits and Bad Habits
Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm a 6th grader. Today I'm going to tell you all about some of my good habits and bad habits. We all have things we do that are good for us and things we do that maybe aren't so good. That's just part of being a kid!
Let me start with some of my good habits. One really great habit I have is that I always make my bed in the morning. My mom taught me when I was little that making your bed sets a tone of organization for the whole day. So even if my room gets a little messy, at least I started the day off right by making my bed neat and tidy. It makes me feel accomplished first thing in the morning.
Another awesome habit I have is reading every single night before bed. I'm a total bookworm! My parents started reading to me when I was just a baby, and now I can't imagine going to sleep without reading a chapter or two from a good book. Sometimes I read longer fantasy novels, but other times I'll read short stories or articles from kids' magazines. No matter what though, I always read something. It's a great way to relax and wind down after a busy day. Plus, reading helps expand my vocabulary and imagination which is great for school.
I also have a good habit of drinking lots of water throughout the day. I have a reusable water bottle that I refill over and over again. It's important to stay hydrated, especially when I'm running around playing sports or just being active in general. Having a full water bottle with me at all times helps remind me to keep sipping on it regularly. My body definitely thanks me for giving it the hydration it needs!
Those are some of my good habits, but I'll be honest - I'm not perfect! I definitely have some bad habits too that I should probably work on. Want to hear about those?
My biggest bad habit is probably that I am a major procrastinator. I always seem to wait until the very last minute to do my homework or study for tests. It's something I've struggled
with for as long as I can remember. I'll put things off by scrolling through social media, watching YouTube videos, or just generally finding other things to do besides my actual schoolwork. It drives my parents crazy! I know it's a bad habit that can really stress me out, but for some reason I just can't shake it. Maybe one day I'll get my act together and stop procrastinating so much.
Another bad habit I have is biting my nails. It's a nervous habit that I've done since kindergarten. Whenever I start feeling anxious or stressed, I'll chomp down on my fingernails without even realizing it sometimes. By the end of the day, my nails are chewed down to little stubs. It's not a very attractive or hygienic habit, that's for sure. My parents are always getting onto me about it and telling me to stop. I've tried lots of things like putting bitter nail polish on or wearing little plastic covers, but the nail biting always comes back eventually. Maybe I'll grow out of it one day?
My final bad habit is a bit of a silly one, but I tend to leave messes everywhere I go. I'm just kind of a sloppy, disorganized person by nature. Like at dinnertime, I always spill crumbs and make a mess of my placemat. Or when I'm getting dressed in the morning, clothes end up strewn all over my bedroom floor. No
matter what I'm doing or where I am, there always seems to be a little path of clutter and messes trailing behind me. It drives my neat-freak mom up the wall! She's always nagging me to be cleaner and pick up after myself, but old habits die hard I guess.
So those are some of my good habits and bad habits! I'm still a work in progress, just like any other kid my age. The great thing is, I'm totally aware of what habits I should keep up and what habits I should ditch. Sometimes being aware is the first step to improving yourself. I may have some bad habits now, but who knows - maybe by this time next year I'll have them all knocked out. A girl can dream, right? I'll just have to keep on working on creating good habits and breaking those bad ones. Wish me luck!。
