Introduction

As an 8th grader, English class is becoming increasingly important to help prepare me for high school and beyond. While I've been studying English for years, I know I have room for improvement in several areas. This workbook outlines my plan to optimize my English lessons and skills over the second semester of 8th grade.

Areas for Improvement

Vocabulary Expansion: My vocabulary is fairly limited, especially when it comes to more advanced words used in literature, science, history and other subjects. I often have to stop and look up meanings, which disrupts my reading flow. Expanding my vocabulary is key.

Conversational Confidence: While I can hold basic conversations in English, I'm not always confident, especially with unfamiliar topics. I need more practice expressing myself comfortably.
