Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about the super cool world of robots. Robots are like awesome machines that can do lots of different jobs and tasks. Some are big and some are small, but they are all really neat!

Robots are also being used more and more to explore and work in harsh environments that would be too dangerous for humans. Without robots, we wouldn't be able to go to or learn about so many amazing places.
Another really exciting area is medical robots. These incredible machines can assist doctors and nurses by doing precise surgeries, delivering medications, or helping people recover from injuries. Robots have been around for a really long time. Way back in ancient Greece, there were myths about robots made of metal. But the first real robots were created in the 1700s. They were just
basic machines that could do simple things like play music. Boring! The modern robot revolution didn't start until the 1900s.
In the 1900s, scientists and engineers began making robots that could do more useful jobs. The first industrial robot was created in 1959. It was called Unimate and it worked on an assembly line building cars. Robots were really great at repetitive tasks like that because they never got tired or made mistakes.
As time went on, robots got smarter and more advanced. In the 1970s, the first computer-controlled robot arms were invented. They could be programmed to do very precise movements. This made them perfect for jobs like welding metal parts together.
