I heard a tiger calling for help in the forest. It sounded desperate and scared. As a wildlife conservationist, I knew I had to investigate and help if possible. I
followed the sound and found the tiger trapped in a
poacher's trap. Its leg was caught and it was bleeding. I knew I had to act fast.
I approached the tiger slowly, talking to it in a calm voice. I knew that tigers are not aggressive unless they
feel threatened, so I made sure to keep my distance. I examined the trap and saw that it was too strong for me to open with my bare hands. I needed tools.
I ran back to my truck and grabbed my toolbox. I returned to the tiger and started working on the trap. The tiger was surprisingly patient and didn't try to attack me. After a few minutes, I managed to release its leg from the
trap. The tiger limped away, but it seemed grateful.
I felt relieved and happy that I could help the tiger.
It reminded me of why I became a wildlife conservationist
in the first place. I want to protect animals and their habitats, and I want to inspire others to do the same.
