My Favorite Pop Star
Wow, you want me to write about my favorite pop star? That's so cool! I just love pop music and all the big stars. It's hard to pick just one favorite, but I'll try my best.
I think my number one favorite has to be Ariana Grande. She's just incredible! Her voice is so powerful and beautiful. I've been a huge fan ever since I first heard her song "Problem" a few years ago. That beat is so catchy! From that moment on, I was hooked.
Ariana first became famous from her role on the Nickelodeon TV show Victorious. She played Cat Valentine, who was so funny and quirky. I used to love watching that show after school. When Ariana released her first album Yours Truly in 2013, I begged my parents to buy it for me. We played it over and over in the car!
Since then, Ariana has released several more super popular albums like My Everything, Sweetener, and Thank U, Next. Her songs are always at the top of the charts. Hits like "Bang Bang," "Side to Side," and "7 Rings" get stuck in my head for days! I know all the words and love singing along.
What I admire most about Ariana is her incredible talent as both a singer and performer. Her range is unbelievable - she can hit whistle notes that are so high, it's crazy! She works so hard at perfecting her live vocals too. Ariana's concerts are out of this world, with amazing choreography, costumes, and visuals. I went to her Sweetener World Tour with my mom and it was the best night ever!
Not only is Ariana a stellar performer, but she also seems like such a sweet, caring person off-stage too. She overcame so much tragedy after the horrible bombing at her Manchester concert. Yet she had the courage and strength to keep going and spread a positive message of love and resilience through her music. What an inspiration!
Ariana is a huge advocate for animals and uses her platform to bring awareness to pet adoption. She has like 10 dogs herself that she just adores! Her dogs are always popping up on her
social media. It's adorable how much she loves them. I really respect that about her.
Ariana is also an amazing role model when it comes to body positivity and self-love. She's spoken out about not listening to body shamers and learning to embrace her beautiful curves. I think it's fantastic how confident and empowered she is at such a young age. It motivates me to be kinder to myself too.
On top of everything else, Ariana is totally stylish and pulls off the coolest looks. From her signature high ponytail to her bold eye makeup and oversized jackets, she makes everything look so good! I'm always in awe of her fashion sense. I love trying to copy some of her looks, though I could never pull them off quite like she does.
Honestly, I could just go on and on about why Ariana Grande is the greatest. Her songs, performances, personality, values - she has the full package! I hope I get to see her in concert again soon. If you're reading this Ariana, I'm your biggest fan! Thank you for inspiring me with your incredible talent and beautiful spirit. You're simply the best!

My Wonderful Family
Hello, my name is Lily and I'm going to tell you all about my wonderful family! We are a pretty big family with lots of people. Let me introduce everyone to you.
First, there are my parents. My dad's name is Robert and he is 42 years old. He has brown hair and green eyes. My dad works as an engineer at a big company. He designs bridges and roads and other cool structures. I think his job sounds really interesting! My mom's name is Jessica and she is 39 years old. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. My mom is a nurse at the hospital. She helps take care of people when they are sick or hurt. I'm really proud of both my parents and the important work they do.
Then there are my siblings - that means my brothers and sisters! I have an older brother named Jake who is 15 years old. Jake loves sports, especially basketball and soccer. He is really tall and athletic. I also have a younger sister named Emma who is 8 years old. Emma loves art, dancing, and anything related to unicorns and rainbows! She is a lot of fun to play with.
We can't forget about our pets too! We have a dog named Buddy who is a golden retriever. Buddy is very friendly and loves to play fetch and go for walks. We also have a cat named Cleo who likes to sleep a lot but is still pretty cute and cuddly.
In addition to my immediate family members, I also have grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins too. My grandparents live in a different city but we visit them a few times a year. I have two uncles, three aunts, and five cousins ranging from ages 3 to 16 years old. When we all get together for holidays or special occasions, it is a huge party with so many people!
My family means everything to me. We love spending time together and making fun memories. On weekends, we like having movie nights, playing games, going to the park, or grabbing ice cream together as a family. Every summer we take a big vacation somewhere new and exciting. Last year we went to Disney World - it was magical!
Even though we are a big, loud, crazy family, we always support and care about each other. My parents work hard to give me and my siblings a happy life. My siblings drive me a little nuts sometimes like all brothers and sisters, but I know they've got my back no matter what. We might fight and argue occasionally, but at the end of the day, we are a team.
I feel so grateful and lucky to have such an amazing family surrounding me with love. They teach me right from wrong and how to be a good person. They encourage me to follow my dreams and never give up. My family brings so much joy,
laughter, and fun into my life. I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world! Families come in all shapes and sizes, but I think mine is pretty special.
Well, that's my wonderful family! I could go on and on about them forever. Just thinking about my crazy bunch puts a huge smile on my face. I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit about my family and the people who mean the most to me. Thanks for reading!

My Wonderful Summer Vacation
Yay! Summer vacation was finally here! No more classes, no more homework, just three full months of fun and relaxation. I had been looking forward to this all year long. My parents promised to take me on an awesome trip during the break. I could hardly wait!
The first couple of weeks, I just lazed around at home playing video games, watching TV and reading comics. My parents let me sleep in as late as I wanted. It was the life! However, after a while I started getting a little bored just sitting around all day. That's when my parents surprised me - they
announced we were going on a big adventure to a place called Thailand!
I had never even heard of Thailand before. My dad showed me some pictures on the internet and it looked like a totally different world. Gleaming Buddhist temples with golden roofs, stunning tropical beaches, colorful markets selling bizarre foods I couldn't identify. It seemed like a magical, exotic wonderland. I was buzzing with excitement for our upcoming trip.
Finally, the day arrived and we headed to the airport bright and early. I had only been on a plane a couple of times before for short domestic flights, so I was totally blown away by this long 10-hour international journey. The plane was huge, with compact little seats crammed together. The food didn't look very appetizing either. But I didn't care, I just stared out the window in awe as we soared over clouds, oceans and unfamiliar lands.
When we finally landed in Bangkok, the heat and humidity hit me like a sledgehammer. I had never experienced anything like it! We collected our bags and headed outside, where a cheerful Thai man holding a sign with our names greeted us. He led us to a waiting van and soon we were zipping through the chaotic Bangkok streets. I gaped out the window at the endless maze of highrises, street vendors, outdated buses billowing
black clouds, makeshift shelters and shrines on every corner. Bangkok was like another planet!
Our first stop was a place called the Grand Palace. As we approached, the architecture seemed to belong in a fairy tale with its grandiose buildings, gleaming golden spires and intricate carved decorations. I couldn't believe something so magnificent and ornate existed in the real world. We spent hours wandering around, marveling at the grandeur. That was just a small taste of the incredible sights we would take in during our two-week adventure.
The next day, we traveled to one of Thailand's famed beach resorts in an area called Phuket. After the intensity of Bangkok, the powdery white sand, swaying palms and turquoise waters seemed like a mirage. Our resort was like a little self-contained village of bungalows, pools and outdoor restaurants. We spent entire days just relaxing on the beach, splashing in the sea and feasting on mouthwatering fresh seafood and exotic fruits. I had never tasted anything so delicious!
One afternoon, we took a boat tour to some nearby islands. The beaches there seemed virtually untouched, with soft sand sculpted into curves and coves. The water was so blindingly bright you almost needed sunglasses. Best of all, we got to go
snorkeling! Slipping on my mask and flippers, I descended into an underwater paradise of vibrant coral and kaleidoscopic tropical fish. I felt like I was swimming in an enormous aquarium. Spotting a sea turtle gliding gracefully by was a particular highlight.
After a blissful week in the islands, we traveled inland to the jungles and forests of northern Thailand. We visited incredible ancient ruins, hiked through lush rainforests teeming with exotic birds and plants, and explored traditional villages where the locals still lived a very simple, agricultural lifestyle. One night, we stayed in a village where there was no electricity after dark. We dined by the flickering glow of firelight and oil lamps, then huddled around a bonfire as the villagers performed traditional dances in ornate costumes. Gazing up at the blazing canopy of stars you could never see in the light-polluted cities was magical.
Another day, we embarked on an extremely adventurous hike through a dense bamboo forest to reach a breathtakingly beautiful hidden waterfall. After our strenuous trek, we stripped down to our bathing suits and spent a few hours splashing and swimming in the inviting pool at the base of the falls. I felt totally refreshed and invigorated.
All too soon, our incredible two weeks in Thailand were over and it was time to return home. As we flew back, I spent the entire flight gazing out the window again, reminiscing about all the unbelievable sights, sounds and flavors we had experienced. Thailand was such an amazing departure from my normal life - like being transported to an entirely different universe. I knew I would never forget the precious memories we had made during our Southeast Asian odyssey.
Returning home, everything seemed so ordinary and monotonous after our grand adventure. Lazing around playing video games, watching movies and hanging out with friends started to get boring very quickly. All I could think about was our next big trip. Maybe somewhere in Europe with castles, cathedrals and medieval villages? Or trekking through the jungles of the Amazon? The exotic possibilities were endless for our future vacations. Thailand had opened up an entire world of travel and my thirst for adventure was now insatiable.

My Awesome School Trip
Wow, I just got back from the coolest school trip ever! Our whole 7th grade class went to Beijing for a week and it was so much fun. I'm going to tell you all about it!
First off, the bus ride there took forever. Like 8 whole hours! I played games on my tablet for a while, but then the battery died. So I had to look out the window instead. China is suuuper big so we saw all kinds of stuff - mountains, valleys, rivers, villages, farms with cows and crops, and lots of other cool scenery.
When we finally made it to Beijing, we went straight to our hotel. It was this gigantic skyscraper taller than any building in our city. The rooms weren't too fancy, but the view was amazing! We could see outover the whole skyline with all the neon signs and lights and everything.
The very first morning, we woke up bruISeearly to visit the Forbidden City. It's this massive palace from dynastic times with like a million rooms and gardens and courtyards. Our guide told us all about the emperors who lived there and the crazy rules they had back then. Like, regular people couldn't even look at the emperor, or they'd be executed! So brutal.
Next up was Tiananmen Square. It's one of the biggest public squares anywhere on earth. We took a classic class photo there in front of the giant portrait of Mao Zedong. The square
was packed with locals and tourists just like us. Vendors were selling snacks and knickknacks everywhere you looked.
After Tiananmen, we walked right over to the Forbidden City next door. Exploring those ancient buildings and learning about the history was my favorite part of the whole trip. The architecture was just mind-blowing. And the details carved into the marble and woodwork were works of art in themselves. I felt like I was transported back in time.
On Day 3, we went to the Summer Palace, which was this gigantic park and lake area where the emperors used to chill during the hot months

My Favorite Season
I love all the seasons, but my favorite one is summer! Summer is the best time of year because school is out, the weather is nice and warm, and there are so many fun things to do. Let me tell you all about the awesome summer activities I enjoy.
First off, I'm so happy when summer arrives because that means no more school for a few months! Don't get me wrong, I
actually like school and learning new things. But it's really nice to have a long break from homework, tests, and waking up early every day. During summer, I can sleep in as late as I want without my mom nagging me. I get to stay in my pajamas all day if I feel like it. It's true freedom!
With no school, my daily schedule opens up for fun summer activities. One of my absolute favorite things is going to the community pool or the beach. I'm a strong swimmer and I love splashing around in the cool water when it's hot outside. My friends and I have awesome pool parties - we play basketball, water polo, and marina monster in the pool. We have swimming races and diving contests off the boards too. At the beach, we boogie board, build sandcastles, and play fun beach games like frisbee and volleyball. After swimming, it's fun to relax in the sun, work on my tan, and eat popsicles or ice cream.
Another thing I really love is going on vacation with my family during the summer. We usually take a road trip to a new place I've never been before. Some of my favorite vacation spots so far were Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Canyon, and Hawaii. At Yellowstone, I got to see amazing geysers, colorful hot springs, and cute furry animals everywhere. The Grand Canyon was just breathtakingly huge and beautiful. In Hawaii, I went
snorkeling for the first time and saw incredible tropical fish. I also learned how to hula dance! On vacations, we go hiking, visit cool museums, try new foods, and make so many wonderful memories together.
When I'm not on vacation, I spend summer days hanging out with my neighborhood friends. We have incredible imaginations and spend hours playing make-believe games like pirates, superheroes, or explorers. We also \love having lemonade stands, putting on talent shows for our parents, and building cool forts and clubhouses. Nighttime is fun too - we go to awesome summer movies, have backyard campouts and stay up late roasting marshmallows and telling spooky stories.
Of course, summer also means summer camp! I go to an awesome day camp every year. We get to do awesome activities like archery, rock climbing, kayaking, ceramics, woodworking, and drama. We put on a big talent show and campfire at the end of camp that our parents come see. It's always a blast. Summer camp is the perfect way to make new friends and learn new skills.
The warm summer also nights mean getting to do fun evening activities that aren't possible during the school year. My family and I love going to baseball games, outdoor concerts, or just having backyard barbecues. The 4th of July is probably my
favorite holiday because of the incredible fireworks shows! I look forward to the town parade, festival with rides and games, and sparklers. Summer is also perfect for going on nighttime walks, catching fireflies in a jar, or just laying outside stargazing.
With all these amazing summer activities and no school responsibilities, you can see why it's my favorite time of year. From sleeping in late, to splashing at the pool, to going on fun vacations, to playing outside with friends, to summer camps and camps, to nighttime fun - summer is just nonstop excitement! Those delicious summer treats like popsicles, ice cream, s'mores, and lemonade make it even better. I cherish these carefree summer days because I know they'll be gone before I know it. The jump back into the school routine won't be easy, but at least I'll have amazing memories from yet another fun-filled summer!

My Favorite Weekend
Hi there! My name is Lily and I'm going to tell you all about my favorite weekend from last month. It was so much fun and I can't wait to share it with you!
It all started on Friday after school. My best friend Sophie came over to my house and we were so excited because my
parents said we could have a sleepover! We ran upstairs to my room and dropped our backpacks on the floor. "What should we do first?" Sophie asked with a big grin. I thought about it for a second before my face lit up. "Let's bake cookies!" I exclaimed. Sophie clapped her hands together. "Yes! That's a great idea!"
We raced downstairs to the kitchen and got out all the ingredients - flour, sugar, butter, chocolate chips, and everything else we needed. My mom helped us measure and mix everything together. It was kind of messy with flour going everywhere, but we didn't care because we were having a blast! After the dough was ready, we rolled it into little balls and put them on the baking trays. While the cookies were in the oven, we cleaned up the big mess we had made.
Finally, the kitchen timer went off and the cookies were done! They looked and smelled sooooo delicious. We waited impatiently for them to cool down before taking a bite. Oh my gosh, they were amazing! Warm, gooey, and perfectly chocolatey. Mom let us have a few before putting the rest away for later.
After our baking adventure, we went back upstairs to my room. "What should we do now?" Sophie wondered out loud. That's when I remembered the new board game I had gotten for
my birthday! "Let's play Candy Land!" I suggested excitedly, pulling the bright box out from under my bed. Sophie's eyes went wide. "Awesome, I love that game!"
We opened up the box and set up the colorful path and cards on the floor. Taking turns was really hard because we just wanted to keep going and going! The sweet names of the locations made our mouths water - Lollipop Woods, Gumdrop Mountains, Chocolate Swamp. In the。
