摘要：An elevator capable of gently stopping a cage when a normally running cage is to be emergency-stopped and capable of suddenly stopping the cage when a cage running with its door open is to be emergency-stopped. To do so, when the cage of a normally driven elevator is to be emergency-stopped, braking force is caused on a brake device while controlling deceleration of the cage. On the other hand, when a predetermined driven state of the cage with its door open is determined, braking force is caused on the brake device to make the stopping distance of the cage shorter than a case where the normally running cage is to be emergency-stopped.
