Then she spent hours at the market until she sold them all. I was too young to understand the influence of the situation. I was just glad that I didn't have to go to school anymore. I played soccer every day until Mom came home at one in the morning
A few weeks passed. I started missing the nights when we ate dinner together as a family. Before this misfortune(不幸)happened, I was always spicy(挑剔的) about food. But now I did not have any food at all and I had no one to eat with. For six months every day was the same: woke up in the morning, asked the neighbors for food, fed my brother, played soccer until dark, lay on the ground and looked up at the stars until Mom got home. When Dad was back home from hospital, for the first time, I came face to face with the feeling of being grateful
Now I'm eighteen years old and I believe that I'm the rose that learned how to grow
