Get ready for an awesome story!When I'm finally a high school student, I bet it will be the funnest, most exciting time ever! I'll wake up early and put on my uniform. Maybe it will be a cool blazer or have my school's super cool mascot on it. I'll grab my super heavy backpack filled with tons of textbooks and binders and lunch money so I can buy pizza or chicken nuggets in the cafeteria. Yum!Then I'll walk or take the bus to school with my best friends. We've been buddies since we were tiny. In high school, we'll still be total BFFs! We'll talk about the latest shows, video games, sports teams, and songs we're obsessed with. Brian always has the freshest kicks, so I'll ask him what new Jordans he's rocking. Melissa is really good at art, so maybe she'll show me her latest masterpiece she worked on for art class.Once we get to the big high school building, it will be like entering a whole new world! The hallways will be crowded with tons of students coming and going to classes. I'll try to open my locker and get my books out. Hopefully I remember the combo! We'll head to first period and the teacher will probably give us a crazy amount of homework to do over the weekend. No fair!At lunch time, we'll go to the cafeteria and get food from the lunch ladies behind the counter. There will be so many choices - maybe I'll get a green plastic tray filled with chicken nuggets, tater tots, a small carton of chocolate milk, and a small container of marinara sauce for dipping. My friends and I will find a table and eat together, chatting and joking around like always.After lunch it's time for more classes. Subjects like algebra, biology, and literature will be hard, but I'll work really hard so I can get good grades. I'll join some clubs too, like the math team or robotics club. We'll compete against other schools and maybe even win trophies!Once the final bell rings, it's finally time to head home. But that's when the real fun begins! I'll change out of my uniform into normal clothes to hang out with my crew. We'll go to the mall and walk around, grab a pretzel or some Auntie Anne's pretzels (those are my fav!), and maybe catch a movie if there's a new blockbuster out.On the weekends, we can finally sleep in without having to wake up early for school. I'll play video games, watch cartoons, and basically just veg out. If it's nice out, we'll go to the park and play pick-up games of basketball, soccer, or football. At night,we'll have bonfires and stargaze while eating s'mores. It will be the best!There will be dances at school too. I'll have to get my first suit or tuxedo to look fresh for prom. High school totally rocked!So in 9th grade, I was just a little kid, scared and nervous, trying to find my way around the huge school. The building was ginormous with like a million hallways and classrooms. I got lost a bunch of times those first few weeks. I'd be wandering around looking for my algebra class and end up in the cafeteria instead! Oopsies!But I made some great new friends right away. There was Billy, who was a total goofball and always cracking jokes. And Samantha who was really smart and helped me with my homework. We'd hang out at the mall after school, going to the food court and the arcade. Such a blast!That first year, I also joined the baseball team. I wasn't very good at first, always striking out and dropping pop flies. But I practiced and practiced, and by the end of the season, I was crushing it! Hit a couple dingers over the fence too. Felt so awesome, like a real MLB star.In 10th grade, things really started getting exciting. I grew a couple inches over the summer, so all the girls suddenly thought I was super cute. Hehehe! A few of them started flirting with me,batting their eyelashes and smiling a lot. I was a little oblivious at first, but eventually I figured it out. Even went on a few dates to grab a milkshake after school. Didn't have the guts to hold their hand though!My classes were harder that year too. Lots of late nights cracking the books and studying. A few of my teachers were really tough, piling on the homework and tests every week. No more slacking off! But I buckled down, worked hard, and managed to get some good grades.The spring of sophomore year is when I discovered my love for theater too. A bunch of my friends convinced me to try out for the school musical. I was so nervous at the audition, but I sang my heart out and landed the lead role! Spent every afternoon after school rehearsing my lines and songs. The actual performances were incredible, hearing the audience cheer and applaud. Definitely caught the acting bug!Junior year was when things started getting wild! A lot of kids started going to parties and experimenting with drinking and smoking. I'll admit, I was a little tempted at times, wanting to be cool and fit in. But I knew it was wrong and could get me in huge trouble. Plus my parents would have killed me! So Imanaged to stay on the straight and narrow, even when some of my buddies didn't.That was also the year I got my drivers license finally! Having my own set of wheels was a total game-changer. No more begging my parents to drive me everywhere. Could finally pick up friends and hit the town on weekends. Just me, my truck, and the open road!Academics were brutal though. Teachers cracking down, assigning hard research papers and advanced math problems. Had to pull plenty of all-nighters in the library trying to get everything done. Thank goodness for coffee and energy drinks or I would have passed out at my desk. Still managed to get pretty decent grades though and kept my hopes alive for getting into a good college.Finally, we made it to senior year! The end was in sight, but that made us want to go extra crazy. Weekends were nonstop adventures - football games, haunted houses, bonfires at the lake. Every day was packed with fun and excitement.The senior prank was legendary. We had planned it for months, being all sneaky and careful. Then one night, we launched "Operation Cornfield" - filled the principal's office with hundreds of corn stalks and fake animal noises played on loopover the speakers. He looked so confused coming in the next morning!Of course, prom was the biggest event. I rented a spiffy tuxedo, bought my date a corsage, and we rode in a stretch limo to the dance. Got to slow dance with my girl under the twinkly lights as the band played modern love songs. Felt like I was in a romantic movie. Then the after-prom party went until dawn - just laughing, dancing, and basking in the end of our high school careers.On graduation day, I was bursting with pride when they called my name and I walked across the stage. Shook the principal's hand (who amazingly was still a good sport about the corn prank!) and had my diploma. I had made it! All those years of hard work had finally paid off.After the ceremony, my parents, siblings, grandparents, and I went out to a fancy steakhouse. We told stories, swapped memories from my childhood, and dreamed about what was next. No more were we little freshmans. This year kind of stressed me out though because I had to start thinking about college and my future. Where would I go? What would I study? It was all so confusing and my parents kept bugging me about it.This was the year I fell in LOVE with french fries from the cafeteria. They were honestly the best fries ever. So crispy and delicious! My friends and I would get large fries almost every day to share while we gossiped about everything.Something fun about junior year was going to prom for the first time! I went with my new boyfriend Jack and we had a limo and everything. The prom site was super fancy with beautiful decorations and lights everywhere. We danced the night away and had a ball.Senior YearFinally, we had made it to the very last year - senior year. It was bittersweet being one of the oldest kids at school. We got lots of privileges but we also had to start saying goodbye to high school life.This year I finally got to take the fun elective classes. I took things like cooking class where I learned to make so many tasty meals. My favorite was the triple chocolate brownies we made. I also took woodshop and built a really cool birdhouse.Of course, senior year activities and traditions were highlights too. I had a blast getting all dressed up in fancy clothes and tight rented shoes that made my feet kill. I'd spend hours doing my hair and makeup to look just right for the dance. I've got so many awesome memories of those nights.Then there were the high school sports and clubs. I played baseball and was part of the math team. Baseball was where I got the sweet nickname "Slugger" because I could crush the ball farther than anyone else on the team. As for math team, you're probably thinking "nerd alert!" But it was actually pretty fun, I promise. We'd have these intense competitions against otherschools, and the snacks they provided were out of this world. I'm talking gourmet chip varieties that were insane.Of course, I can't forget about the classes themselves. High school is where I decided I wanted to be a dog walker when I grew up. Why? Well, in my freshman biology class, we had to dissect one of those lucky frogs that gets to go to high school. When I cut into that poor thing, I just couldn't handle all the guts and stuff. Total David Bowie labyrinth horror show! So I was like "Nope, not gonna be a surgeon. I'll just walk dogs instead." Much easier on my sensitive stomach.But despite a few small downsides here and there, overall high school was just the best phase of life so far. I'll never forget the good times I had with my awesome group of friends. We got into some hijinks for sure, but we were just living life to the fullest and soaking up every second of our youth. Watching them make touchdowns always had us going wild in the stands.You know what else was really fun? The high school traditions! Getting all dolled up and riding to prom in a limo was a night I'll never forget. Prom was definitely the highlight of senior year.Butof course, high school wasn't just a non-stop party. We also had to study hard and keep our grades up. Squeezing in homework between all the activities was a challenge sometimes. Exam weeks were always pretty stressful too. But my friends and I pushed through it all by working together. We formed study groups and quizzed each other to prepare. Celebrating good grades by grabbing pizza or going to the movies after finals kept us motivated.Looking back now, those four years just flew by in a blur of classes, clubs, events, and lifelong memories. High school was seriously the BEST time! I'll never forget the rush of being a teenager with my whole future ahead of me. I made so many incredible friends who I'm still close with today. We grew up together and helped each other become who we are. High school gave me a chance to find my passions, discover my strengths, and have a blast doing it all. Generally speaking, life in high school is busy and fulfilling, due to the ultimate goal---College Entrance Examination. Many people say that there is no fun left but bored study and endless exercises. However, as a high school student, I can’t agree wit h them. Personally, I live a
fruitful but happy life in high school. It can’t be denied that study is my priority that I must spend most of my time and energy on it. Sometimes, study may make me frustrated or even drive me crazy, but I still can adjust my mood to enjoy my life. Besides, I can also get a sense of achievement when
I do well in my study or make progress. The most important is that my friends bring much happiness to me and my parents’ care inspires me to go on. I think friends in high school are my best friend forever, because they know me a lot and
witness all of my emotions. They are the persons who grow
with me. In addition, teachers in high school care much about our students both in study and life, and classmates are
always friendly to each other. We build deep friendship together. All of these make up my fruitful life in high school, which I will cherish forever.
