This passage mainly talks about the importance of character development of children by giving an example of an old lady who gives up the seat offered by a gentleman to her grandchild.

It 's commonin our country that parents or grandparents often spoil the kids. For example, parents or grandparents will buy shoes of famous brands to satisfy their needs, no matter how expensive they are. What' s worse, they provide kids with whatever they want and ask them to do nothing in return.

When these spoiled children grow up, many of them may greatly disappoint their parents. Someof them even commit crimes. If it happens, whois to blame? I think parents or grandparents are not supposed to spoil kids. Kids should go through hardships or do what they can to help parents

or other people. Only by doing so can they be independent and responsible.

All in all, much attention should be attached to over-parenting. Such kind of behaviors is supposed to be discouraged from being advocated. Additionally, it 's an wise choice to provide kids a platform where they can go through hardships or do whatever they can to offer hands to others. Only in this way, can they be independent and responsible.
