Unit 1 When is your birthday? 单元备课教材分析:本单元谈论的话题是日期,并围绕这一主题进行听说读写等教学活动。
通过对月份、序数词及相关词汇和短语的学习和运用,学生们可以掌握询问某人生日的方法,并能如何安排自己的业余生活,做时间的主人。
这一话题非常贴近学生们的日常生活,因此可以很容易提高他们的学习兴趣,并且通过对本节课语言知识的运用,学会关心他人,增强与人沟通的能力。
教学目标:1、知识目标:A:学会日期的表达法;B:学会使用序数词;C:学会如何询问某人的生日。
2、能力目标:A:学会询问某人的生日;B:学会谈论对某一天的喜好;C:学会合理安排自己的课余生活。
3、情感目标:A:通过完成任务,使学生学会关心他人,增强与人沟通的意识;B:通过学习对年龄的询问,了解中西方的文化差异。
学情分析:本班的学生通过上学期的学习,都对英语学习产生了兴趣,肯听、读,肯参与英语课堂的相对简单的教学活动,有4-7名学生的英语知识能力基础较差,不敢当着全班同学的面说英语,但是整体配合还可以。
教学策略:1、利用多媒体课件讲解序数词。
利用直观方法呈现各种数词之间的关系,使学生通过对比,找出序数词的变化规则,并用顺口溜和歌谣的形式强化对序数词变化规则的记忆。
2、利用听、读、做游戏、图片等方法再现生词,使学生非常轻松地达到巩固序数词和其它生词的目的。
3、利用一个实物日历导入月份,具有直观性,利用“上刀架”的方式对月份词汇进行再次操练,易于提高学生的学习兴趣。
4、通过师生问答呈现When is your birthday ?并设计听力练习,巩固When is your birthday ?句型。
5、让学生在生日统计活动中互相询问同伴的生日,并汇集成班级生日册,在增进了解的同时,加强了句型在实践中的应用,并完成自己的ID卡片,达到完成自己的个人档案。
还可以制作个人英文日历或者班级日历,安排十一长假,达到语言知识进行社会实践的目的。

操练方式:准备好小黑板,教师将之前课程中所学的单词写在小黑板上,让学生读熟、认熟这些单词,然后小黑板背对学生,让学生复述出黑板上有哪些单词,答对一个一分,错答没分,答越多分越高。
注意事项:每次进行游戏的单词量不宜太大,以—个为佳;发现学生有发音问题要及时纠正;注意不要让学生重复说出同一个单词,答对较多的学生可让当小教师上台操作此游戏,这样可以训练个别内向学生的胆量,同时也可考验学生对单词的熟练程度,同时锻炼了学生瞬时记忆能力。
理论依据:利用学生的好奇心和超强的记忆力,引导学生输出所学生词,训练学生记忆和思维能力。
