CET four, 8 compositions

Some people think scores reflect ability2., some people think that grades do not necessarily reflect capacity3. my point of viewGrades and AbilityDo, high, grades, imply, excellent, ability, Opinions, vary, from,, person, to, person. Some agree that high grades reflect high intelligence and are thus indicative of one s ability. Students who do "well in exams are therefore always favored in class. Others hold that grades have little to do with one s ability. They point out" that some students who do not work well in school may also make great achievements. They take Edison for example, saying that Edison was considered not clever by his primary school teacher, but became a very famous inventor later. In my view, grades are important for us students. When people have no other ways to assess our ability, they can decide whether we are qualified for a school place or a position only from our grades. Therefore, we must try to achieve high grades in school, even though they are not the only standard for our ability. On Students Quitting School1. many college students have dropped out of school in recent years2. reasons for college dropout3. my point of viewOn Students Quitting SchoolMany, college, students, have, quitted, in, recent, school, years., They, do,, it, for, different, reasons. Some students quit school because of their poor health. "However, there are some students who quit school out of their own choice. Some embrace a good job offer and leave school. Others may find that they cannot afford to loss the good opportunity to start their own business, so they quit school to start their career just like Bill gates.Whatever the reason, I think college students should think twice before deciding to quit school. After all, graduates are normally better prepared for their future than those who quit school. College education pays off in the long run.Should, English, Classes, Be, Compulsory, for, Students1.

Being a Good University Student by Following RulesHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. My big sister just started going to university and I've been hearing a lot about what it's like. It sounds like a lot of fun but also a big responsibility! Today I'm going to share what I've learned about being a good university student by following the rules.First of all, you have to go to all your classes! My sister says some of her classes are really early in the morning which can be tough. But she knows it's important to be there on time and ready to learn. The professors are there to teach you new things and if you miss too many classes, you might fall behind. Plus, your parents are paying a lot of money for you to go to university so you owe it to them to take it seriously. In class, you have to listen to the professor and follow any rules they have, like not being on your phone or eating snacks that are too noisy or smelly. It's disrespectful to the professor and distracting to your classmates if you break the rules. My mom is a teacher and she gets really frustrated when kids don't listen in her class. I can only imagine how much harder it would be with a huge university lecture hall full of students! You also have to do all your homework and assignments on time. I know it can be really tempting to slack off, especially with all the fun activities and friends around on campus. But the assignments are what help you learn and practice what you're being taught in class. If you don't do them, you won't be ready for the big tests and exams. My sister has this huge binder full of assignments and readings she has to keep track of. It looks like a lot of work but she knows it will pay off when she gets good grades.Speaking of grades, you have to do your best and study really hard! Getting good grades shows you have learned everything you need to learn. It's the main way professors can evaluate if you're succeeding. My parents told me universities can be really strict about failing grades. If you fail too many classes, you might have to re-take them or even leave the university! That would be a huge waste of time and money. You definitely don't want that to happen after all your hard work.Another important rule is that you have to be honest and not cheat or plagiarize. Cheating is taking someone else's work and saying it's yours, like copying homework or test answers. Plagiarizing is taking passages from books or online without giving proper credit to the original author. Universities take thisextremely seriously because it's basically stealing. If you get caught, you could get a failing grade, get suspended, or even get kicked out permanently! My mom always says it's better to get a poor grade honestly than to cheat. It's never worth it in the end.You also have to be a good citizen on campus by following all the other rules that keep everything running smoothly. This means things like:Not drinking alcoholic beverages if you're under 21Not doing illegal drugsBeing quiet in the libraries and dorm hallwaysTaking good care of campus property and buildingsDisposing of trash and recycling properlyAnd of course, never getting into any fights or bullying!Breaking rules like these can get you into really big trouble. You could get fined, get kicked out of housing, or even get arrested by campus police! No one wants that to happen. Part of being in university is showing you're a mature, responsible adult who can follow society's rules. Finally, you have to treat everyone with respect - your professors, campus staff, and fellow students. Don't be mean, disruptive, or rude. Be considerate of others' rights, property, and differing backgrounds. If there's a problem, report it to the right authorities instead of taking matters into your own hands. Being a good university citizen means looking out for your whole campus community.Phew, that's a lot of rules! You really have to stay on the straight and narrow as a university student. But if you can follow all those guidelines, get your studying done, and earn your degree, it will be so worth it in the end. A university education can open up tons of great career opportunities and bright futures. Just do your best, study hard, be good, and have fun learning! I hope to get there myself one day after finishing elementary school, middle school, and high school. I'll be sure to remember all this advice from my big sister when it's my turn. Thanks for reading!。

我应该获英语作文友谊得
我应该获英语作文友谊得Friendship: An Unbreakable Bond.Friendship, the most precious and enduring of human connections, transcends time, distance, and adversity. Itis a bond forged through shared experiences, unwavering support, and mutual affection. Like a sturdy bridge, friendship connects us to others, providing solace, strength, and a sense of belonging. In the tapestry of life, friendships come in various hues and shades. There are childhood friends, whose companionship has shaped our earliest memories. School friends, with whom we navigated the turbulent waters of adolescence. College friends, who expanded our horizons and ignited our passions. And lifelong friends, who have stood by our side through life's triumphs and trials. Each friendship is unique, shaped by the personalities, values, and shared experiences of those involved. Somefriendships are akin to a cozy hearth, providing warmth and comfort on cold and dreary nights. Others are like a roaring wildfire, ignited by shared passions and an unyielding spirit of adventure.True friendship is not merely about spending time together or engaging in superficial interactions. It is about being there for one another through thick and thin, offering unwavering support and encouragement. It is about celebrating each other's successes, no matter how small, and being a shoulder to cry on during moments of despair. In today's fast-paced and often isolating world, friendship has become more important than ever. It serves as an antidote to loneliness, alienation, and the constant bombardment of information and distractions. Genuinefriends provide a sanctuary where we can be ourselves, share our vulnerabilities, and feel a profound sense of acceptance and belonging. The benefits of friendship are myriad. Friends enhance our mental and emotional well-being by reducing stress, boosting mood, and providing a sense of purpose. They promote healthy behaviors, encourage us to pursue our goals, and help us maintain a positive outlook on life. Moreover, friendship has the power to bridge social divides, foster empathy, and promote understanding. By sharing our perspectives and experiences with friends from different backgrounds and walks of life, we broaden our horizons, challenge our assumptions, and become moretolerant and accepting of others. While friendship is often effortless and spontaneous,it also requires nurturing and cultivation. Like any valuable relationship, it demands time, attention, and effort. Regular communication, shared activities, and gestures of kindness and appreciation help strengthen the bonds of friendship over time.Forging and maintaining meaningful friendships is anart form that requires empathy, vulnerability, and a willingness to invest in others. It involves actively listening, being present in the moment, and expressing ouremotions and thoughts honestly and authentically. In an age of instant gratification and superficial connections, it is imperative that we cherish andprioritize our friendships. They are the foundation upon which a fulfilling and meaningful life is built. They are the anchors that keep us grounded, the beacons that guide us through life's storms, and the treasures that we carry with us until the very end.As the Roman philosopher Seneca once said, "Friendship doubles our joys and divides our griefs." May we all strive to cultivate and nurture friendships that enrich our lives, empower us to overcome challenges, and make the journey of life a truly extraordinary adventure.。

题目要求:
Shall we forgive the friend who abandon us in danger?
write an assey in no less than 200 words on the above topic.
Shall we forgive the friend who abandon us in danger?
Since ancient times, friendship has been long defined as a relationship which is full of trust, approval and reliance. While on the other side, there is no denying that someone would abandon his friends when in danger. Therefore, the topic, whether we should forgive the friend who abandoned us in danger, has triggered a heated debate recently.
As far as I am concerned, I firmly believe that no hardships can defeat true friends and one who abandoned his friends do not deserve forgiving. First of all, to forgive means admitting that there exists a reason for one to abandon his friends. What if you can't trust your friends anymore? It has undoubtedly defeated the purpose of establishing the friendship. Whereas, not choosing to forgive him leaves you the rights to believe the decent nature of human beings. Under no circumstances would a genuine friend abandon his friends. Moreover, if one chooses to forgive the friend who him, he would push himself into a dilemma where he has to forgive no matter what his friend done to him. It is trust that enables you to get access to a true friend not unilaterally compromising. True friends are supposed to never stab each other in the back.
