“留白”

“留白”一、教学“留白”的定义“留白”原是国画创作中的一种构图方法,意思是“计白当黑”,正如音乐中的“休止之法”,诗文中的“无言之境”,都是对空白艺术的运用。

留白就是在作品中留下空白,它是一种艺术表现手法.在艺术作品中,为了更充分地表现主题,会有意地留出空白。

“空白”并非没有东西,不是空而无物,而是虚中求实,使艺术品虚实相映,形神兼备,从而达到“无画处皆成妙境”的艺术境界。

课堂教学也是一门艺术,同样需要留白。

教学“留白”是指教师在课堂教学中根据教学需要,不直接把一些学习内容通过讲述、讨论和交流等方式直接告知学生,而是通过言语激发、提出问题、布置练习和目光交流,或体态语言传递信息等方式留下“空白”。

英语教学是一种开放性、多向性、艺术性很强的信息交流活动。

教师的课堂活动更应像艺术形式一样讲究“留白”艺术,构成教学的“阴晴圆缺”,以引起学生的注意,激发学习的兴趣。

有时,恰到好处的留白不仅有助于教师高效地讲授知识,更有助于学生专心地投入,并用已有的知识和独特的体验去感受、去演绎、去“补白”。

因而,教学中教师要学会给学生“留白”,给知识“留白”,给自己“留白”,达到教与学的交互融合,展现课堂的生命活力,让学生的主体意识在教师留下的空白里得以充分发挥,使课堂教学更具有效性,极大程度的提高课堂教学效率。

二、“留白”在中学英语教学中的运用在英语课堂中,老师可以灵活运用提出问题,设置悬念这种模式导入新授主题。

教师抛出问题后,不用急于揭开谜底。

应是引导学生思考、排除、推敲而得出想要的答案。

学生在此过程中,会较安静思考答案,即所谓的“冷场”。

这段留白就是为思维岩浆的喷发而预留的。

教师不用担心会浪费时间,而是要有足够的耐心去等待。

三分钟、五分钟的沉默可能会激发学生学习的好奇心,热情洋溢的讨论。

这也正是探究式教学追求的一个重要目标。

从教学目标出发,这种“冷场”定能能使学生的发散思维发挥得淋漓尽致。

下面,笔者就以《牛津初中英语》为例,谈谈“留白”策略在教学各环节中的运用。

四、学情分析八年级学生已经初步学习了形容词和副词的比较等级和最高级的表达方法,有一定的语言基础,有较强的求知欲, 会利用教材和工具书自学词汇,有一定的自学能力,有良好的预习习惯和课堂积极发言的习惯,但是综合运用英语的能力和习惯还没养成, 从英语文章中获取信息的能力还有待提高。
