这种不断的吸收,交融,创新就形成了各种各样带有某个国家,某个民族,或某个地区特色的英语。

BBC英语不再被人们认为是“唯一”的标准英语了。

本课旨在为学生学习英语打开一扇窗户,使学生了解语言的变化趋势,明确为什么除了英国英语和美国英语,还会有印度英语,加拿大英语等,以后可能还会有中国英语。

2 地位和作用分析本单元讨论的话题是“世界英语”介绍了英语在当今世界范围内人们生活中扮演的不同角色及其重要意义。

尤其介绍了英美语言的差异,让学生更进一步了解学好英语的必要性和其重要意义。

促使学生了解英美语言在词汇、拼写、语音等方面的区别。

使学生在认识到学好英语的重要性的同时,更加热爱自己的祖国,从而培养他们的祖国意识。

If English means endless new words, difficult grammar and sometimes strange pronunciation, you are wrong. Haven’t you noticed that you have become smarter since you started to learn a
language?
According to a new study by a British university, learning a second language can lead to an increase in your brain power. Researchers found that learning other languages changes grey matter. This is the area of the brain which processes information. It is similar to the way that exercise builds muscles.
The study also found the younger people learnt a second language, the greater the effect was.
A team led by Dr. Andrea Mechelli, from University College London, took a group of Britons who only spoke English. They were compared with a group of “early bilinguals” who had learnt a second language before the age of five, as well as a number of later learners.
Scans showed that grey matter density(密度)in the brain was greater in bilinguals than in people without a second language. But the longer a person waited before mastering a new language, the smaller the difference.
The findings were matched in a study of native Italian speakers who had learned English as a second language between the ages of 2 and 34. Reading,writing, and comprehension were all tested. The results showed that the younger they started to learn, the better. “Studying a language means you get an entrance to another world.” explaine d the scientists.
