译林新版《英语》(下同)教材的Fun time板块是一个融趣味性、互动性于一体的语言实践活动板块,该板块根据小学生的年龄和心理特点,设计了趣味游戏、手工制作、角色表演、调查报告等60多项操练活动,旨在依托活动平台引导学生操练、运用各单元所学的主要词汇、句型和日常交际用语,培养学生英语学习兴趣,提升综合语言运用能力。
目前小学英语课堂Fun time的教学效果不近如人意,比如一些教师偏重单元语法知识的训练,模式化的操练使原本有趣的语言实践活动变成机械、枯燥的词句练习;又如很多教师只**教学内容不研究学生学情,照本宣科式地开展活动,导致整个活动只有少数学生参与,大部分学生游离于活动之外;再如部分教师只**活动形式不考虑活动目标,把板块内容上成趣味活动课、手工课或综合实践课,课堂表面热闹非凡,但学生只动手不动口,偏离了板块训练语言的教学目标。
究其原因,主要是教师对Fun time板块在单元体系中的功能和目标解读不准,未基于学生学情创新使用教材和有效设计教学。
Fun time板块活动丰富、形式多样,要从学生的生活实际出发,让学生动口、动手、动脑,体现学生的主体地位,真正让学生“用英语做事情”。
本文将结合具体的教学案例,探讨Fun time板块的有效教学途径。
一、巧设语言活动,提升板块功能Fun time板块利用画、做、猜、演等活动形式趣味操练单元新学语言知识,注重活动过程中的语言实践性。
教师应充分解读教材内容,从学生已有语言知识和生活经验出发,选择合理、恰当的活动形式。
同时,教师教学时要立足文本语言,不断优化活动流程,引导全体学生积极主动参与活动,着力提升板块交际功能。
1.基于教材学情,选择活动形式教材Fun time板块仅提供一个平面的、静态的、单一的教学活动,如果教师仅仅按照教材提供的方式去操作,可能会显得比较机械化,会使学生感到枯燥(杨敏、顾云,2015)。
因此,教师要细致研读各学段教材中的Fun time内容,基于各年级学生实际学情选择合适的活动形式,引导学生在趣味活动中互动交流、快乐学习。

教师如何让信息量大的内容变得简约简洁,如何把语篇信息分解成易于理解和记忆的“块”,笔者在讲备时使用了思维导图作为支架指导本课的教学设计,旨在能够追求高效的课堂,让学生能够让学生在短时间内有效掌握本课的教学内容和目标。
三,教学目标:1.学生会听、说、读、写单词:then and now, ago, office, newspaper, news, e-book, with, yesterday。
2. 学生能够尝试并初步学会自读课文,了解文章的内容,并能够自己进行读书笔记的记录。
3.学生能够初步尝试设计板书,能根据板书复述课文。
4.学生们能够谈论自己对过去和现在的不同生活的感受。
四,教学重、难点。
能够听懂、会读、会说文本中的单词“telephone, mobile phone, e-book, Internet”和主要句型“…ago, …could/couldn’t…”“…ago, he/she/they…”,并能在情境中恰当运用以上句型。
学习策略和情感目标是:乐于参与课堂活动,能利用思维导图开展阅读和讨论活动,并能就不同的生活状态提出自己的看法,知道不是所有的变化都是有利于人类的。
五,教学过程:巧用思维导图支架丰富教学设计(一)呈现目标,知己知彼,激发动力六年级学生的思维正在由形象思维向逻辑思维过渡,他们对与自己生活相关的话题比较感兴趣,喜欢通过交流获取信息,愿意用所学语言完成教学任务,也具备用简单的话将自己及朋友和家人生活中的变化说出来与他人分享的能力,(吉桂凤,2015)如使用“Then, …used the…Now, …has…”等。
