Wrong number, I guess. He hung up without saying a word. 打错了, 我想。
他一句话也没说就把电话挂了。
1、要找的人不在A： Hello， this is carol. may i speak to miss chen?B： Yes，one moment please. i’ll get her for you.A： Thank you.B：I’m sorry，she’s not at her room right now.A： Oh，i’ll call her again.A：喂，我是卡罗，可以请陈小姐听电话吗?B：好，请等一下，我为你转接。
A：谢谢。
B：对不起，她现在不在。
A：那我等下再打给她。
2、自我介绍时，请注意：1. “hello”等于是中文的“喂”，随时随地可用。
2. 打电话先行自我介绍是一种礼貌。
电话中最常用“this is”的形态而不是“here is”或“i am”，这是打电话需要注意的。
3. “may i speak to” 也可以换成是“can i speak to” 请听电话。

打电话的英文及过程中的术语
打电话，用英文你可以讲：call somebody(打给某人)=ring somebody(打给某人)=phone somebody(打给某人)=call somebody up(打给某人)=give somebody a ring/call(给某人打电话)等表达，打电话的英文表达是不是很简单，确实很简单。
但是对于打电话，如上所说，这是个技术活。
打电话给某人借钱、打电话给上司、打电话给父母、打电话给朋友、打电话给妻子孩子等等表达语言是不一样的，语气、措辞等都会随着你所打电话的对象的不同而存在不同。
在中国待了这么久，我想就不需要我来一一列举叙述了吧?你那么聪明，一定在很早的时候就对这些摸清楚了。
对于打电话的英文表达，是我们今天所要了解的重点。
所以今天先给大家讲讲简单的英语接打话术，比如开头问候语，询问留言意向语、让人等待语等。
在英文的电话表达中，跟我们中文的表达是有着很大的区别的。
在英文的电话表达中，打电话人一般会表达：Hello! This is Tom speaking, could I speak to ….?(你好，我是Tom，我找...)。
接电话的人一般会表达：Hello, Good morning/afternoon/evening , this is (your phone number)/(….. speaking)(你好，早上/下午/晚上好，这是....(号码)或者这是......(谁))。
在英语的表达中，不会出现who are you这样的问句，取而代之的是Who is that speaking /calling(请问您是)或者May I have your name(我能知道你的名字吗)等客气的表达。
开头是这样，结尾的话，一般是在了解彼此之后的结束用语又分为不同的情况，如请打电话者等待，自己离开去叫人：Hold the line,please. I will get him/her to phone(不要挂断，我这就去找他接电话)或者说Hold on for a moment;如果是代接的电话，你可以讲：What name shall I give(我应该把电话转给谁)这里多适合前台类的接听工作。
如果打电话的人要找的人不在或者在忙，你可以表达：Sorry，he isn’t in(不好意思，他不在)或者I’m afraid he is out(他不在)，如果询问对方有没有什么留言的话，你可以说： May I take a message for you(我能为你转达留言吗)/Can I take a message(我能留言吗)/ Would you like to leave a message(你留言吗)。
也有情况是你可能打错了电话，你可以表达：Sorry, you have dialed the wrong number(不好意思，你打错电话了)/ Sorry, I have dialed the wrong number(不好意思，我打错电话了)。
